The downpour started unexpectedly, marking the beginnings of the rainy season. It also ruined Ampalaya's lunge for the gazelle she had been tracking, as the gazelle looked up at the wrong moment, and sped away. he wasn't fast enough to catch up. With the migrations starting, food was going to be a lot more difficult to come by.
Ampalaya sighed, and flattened her ears back. She wouldn't catch anything now. Instead she looked around for some shelter. There was a dead tree that would shield her from the worst of it, at least. She headed over.
