A forgotten piece of the world. The springs of the Tuatha De Danann are somewhere just this side of reality. A forgotten piece of the world from the times before. Later refered to as Faerie springs. A place of ageless beauty. Where those who share in it cease to age. Charles' CastleCharles tends to prefer the artwork of his earliest lineage. Also feels stone is a much more suitable defense for his spring. This is an image from the Western wing, or the guest wing. Spring MarkerSprings are the natural entrance and exits of this world. They are everywhere, some are marked. Others are not. All one has to do is know how to pass through one.

Tuatha Dé DanannFor those of you who aren't up on your Demi Gods. Ha ha. Not really a Demi God, but something of the nature. Refered to as Niphilim in the Christians bible, a religion that comes well after the stories of the Tuatha Dé Danann. A really long name huh? Well it means "People of The Goddess Danu" This Lady ^^ Anyway, next topic. They lived in something called a spring. A world between Earth and Hell, or the underworld if you prefer. A place where time ceases to pass. Later refered to as a Faery spring. Not an accurate description, but since when do humans get anything right? The Entrances to these places would look something like this, this one is marked, not all are. The people of the Tuatha Dé Danann are blessed with an extreme strength and size of which myths were made. They were massively sized and consider to be the offspring of several gods, and in some cases some of their members even became gods themselves, but for every rise to power, there is a fall. The race is small and frail in number these days. The springs and it's vast material wealth left mostly untouched. Their massive libraries that spanned the entirety of human life sat unused. The people who once numbered in the millions would be well off if they could count their numbers in the hundred. The Springs, though still functional left unused for many years. Many of them had become unstable, dangerous to pass.

Gaia Name: Charles ArobinName: Charles BrigidsonGender: MaleRace: Tuatha De DanannOrientation: StraightLeash Type: AnyWeapons: Deer leather cane, war hammer Powers: "The Craft" : A type of elemental "magic" though I hate that word, wherein one controls element of the world around themselves, though each is a bit different, for Charles it is strings that can only just be seen in this reality. Weaving intricate designs.
Demi-god strength: The Tuatha Dé Danann are of the race gods are created. Later called niphilim by the bible. Something more of the nature of Thor. Large brutish men and women with a strange intellect odd hair colors and a mysterious past. Bio: Charles was born into wealth, as a grandson of one of the last few surviving families of power. As did all the families of power before they became arrogant in their natural prowess for the crafts, and soon fell. Charles was but a child, though he already possessed enough skill to be considered a threat so he was removed from the springs and sold to the slave traders. As time passed Charles continued to grow in his power. At the age of sixteen he murdered his captors with a weapon fashioned from a broken mop. Running without looking back through the woods, full of fear he stumbled back into the springs where he learned his rightful place. Personality: Charles is very stern and strong willed. Calm and incredibly collected. There is an underlying kindness from years of service of his own. Status: One SlaveImage:

As one would expect from an estate built and inhabited for many years by gods, term used loosely, this building is not as it seems. Spatial relation isn't quite what it should be. The walls are filled with tunnels built for the slaves to be able to do their jobs without being seen or heard, though Charles tended to have a much more hands on approach to his slaves. There are massive ball rooms. Roman style baths. Grand ball rooms. Beautiful gardens still maintained by the Fae who have worked them for more years than most could comprehend. Master's GardenFrom the East wing and Charles' personal chamber there was a small garden which led to a cliff. PoolsThere are many pools and the like dotting the property. The Tuatha De Danann had a strong tie to nature and attempted to keep all the elements as close to them as possible. The BathsThe walls and columns worked out of white marble by a people who prided themselves on their stone work. The water was a pristine blue and hot water was constantly cycled in by fire elementals who lived deep under the surface. The BallroomsThe Tuatha De Danann loved to throw elaborate parties that would last for months. Sometimes years. Time was a very relative thing in this place. Dagda, Charles' Grandfather, especially loved balls and had elaborate ball rooms built for this purpose. The slave TunnelsThese criss cross the property in every which way. Made for expedient service and so that the slaves could do their work out of their masters sight. The slave Breaking RoomsThick walled empty cells. Used for unruly slaves. Not a personal favorite of Charles', but he did find amusement in it from time to time. When a slave did as they were told, when they didn't they were broken down until they learned to obey. (More will be added with time.)

§Charles was careful not to let the mouthy little slave girl get her bearings or quite understand where she was or what was happening. He moved to a remote spring hidden behind a waterfall which led to a long slave tunnel and led her down the tunnel, watching his steps. Before the even got into the castle proper they came to a series of doors. Charles counted the doors and opened one which had all kinds of nasty torture devices in it. Hooks and blades of all description.§ "Oops. Wrong door." §Charles shut it again and moved one more down which opened to a small stone room. No decorations. A small cot in one corner with a flimsy blanket. Walking in he yanked the small woman with him and hooked her chain to a ring that hung from the wall on one side of the room.§ "Home sweet home. What do you think?"

Why must I Etsuko Etsuko looks around the room and lets out a sigh. "As long as it's not that cage I won't complain." she says to him as she looks around the room. Looking at the chain around her collar, she looks back at Charles but doesn't say anything else. always be different

§Charles smirked and nodded.§ "Well looky looky. You are as smart as your tongue. I'd prefer not to keep you down here, you won't be able to clean from this cell, but until I can trust you won't try and escape and get yourself killed this is where you will stay. You will address me as your master, or sir at all times. You will not use personal pronouns such as I, me, mine. You will instead address yourself as this slave. Easy enough to understand?" §Charles stood stoic. His cane centered before him. His eyes hidden, his mouth an unwavering straight line. He spoke clearly and decisively. Leaving very little to be misunderstood.§

"A verbal question calls for a verbal response. If I'm going to waste my time addressing you you will respond." §Charles felt he may be acting a touch stern, but that was none of his concern. He could tell this one was going to be difficult and any wavering or uneasiness as her master would translate weakness to her. Something she would try to exploit.§ "If your content to stay in this hole for now I will oblige you, but there is a second option."

Why must I Etsuko Taking a breath, she lets it out slowly and looks over at him. "I understand your rules Master but I'm not like most of the others. I'm not completely stubborn nor am I completely normal. As I'm sure you can most certainly tell. There are something that I will need or I will not be able to of any use to you." she says to him as she looks at him for a moment before turning her attention to the ground. always be different

"Yes. I noticed. If you decide to stay down here the occasional rat may scurry through, though if your not careful they'll get smart to and avoid this cell. We have stores of blood in the wine cellar. This building once entertained many different kinds of "guests." You would not be the first one here in the home of Dagda who needed special sustenance. The choice is honestly yours." §Charles slammed the cane before him in the ground. Snapping the stone he contacted with. This one still demanded to be smart with him. It was a dangerous game to play.§

"Better. Much better." §Charles grinned and pat her on the head. He knew the look of degradation, and how to add to it. He lifted his hand and the blue chain left the wall and was inside of his hand as it closed around it.§ "We will go up stairs and I will show you the kitchen. Cooking will be part of your duties as well as cleaning, mending, etc. From there the cellar and it contains the wines as well as some sustenance for you." §Charles stood there for a moment, waiting for an acknowledgment from the little slave girl. If she did not want to comply then it would be just as to leave her here.§

Why must I Etsuko Etsuko remains completely quiet as she stands up. Not saying a word, she keeps her head to the ground and nods slightly. "If that is what you wish, then this slave will oblige, Master." she says. She doesn't look at him at all after she speaks and she had no intentions of doing so ever again. always be different
