It's that time again...!
This lesson's plans:
- The effect a rider's emotions on the dragon. - Sexuality - Dragon colors - Rider's knots (Along with the construction of their first riding knot.) - Dragon first aid. - Telepathy training, how to send a dragon an image, and visa versa.
Where: At the Weyr bowl, currently, Farin has not arrived but it is expected for Weyrlings to start arriving. The weather is a bit dreary looking, replacing sunny skies of an overcast sky, and it looks like rain soon.

The overhanging clouds dont make a promising setting for the begining of lessons, especially not out in the Weyr bowl like this, and he tugged at the colar of his shirt, glancing up to the sky. Jaiereth sighed, stretching his wings, and leaned against R'ael, begging for more attention while they waited. "I wonder if we'll still have class outdoors if it pours..."

Hearing R'ael's muttered question, L'mur grinned. "Probably," he answered. "Farin's tough. Wouldn't let a little thing like rain bother her." It was, he admitted inwardly, an awfully gross-looking day.
Rain is just water. It is warm, but not as warm as a bath. I like baths-- rain is almost as good. The voice of the little green interrupted L'mur's thoughts. Hmmm, you are a smart one, L'mur told her, amused.
"Anyone know what's on the agenda for today?"

"Hm....I overheard someone talking about how we would learn how to strengthen our bond with our dragon..." J'riar drawled lazily, glancing over at L'mur and R'ael. "But that's just a rumor, so don't hold it against me if I'm wrong." His head tipped back so hazel eyes could thoughtfully study the grey clouds overhead. They smothered the sun, making it rather dark outside, but not overly so. That was fine; J'riar didn't mind it either way.
If it rains, does this mean I will need to take a bath again?
A grin spread itself over the brunette's face as he answered aloud, "No, you won't need to take another bath. Rain won't make you any more dirty unless you roll around in the mud." Natroth cocked his head, eyes whirling slightly as he pondered over this. Then promptly losing interest, the little blue boldly trotted away from his bonded to paw playfully at Saranth and Jaiereth. This brought another smile to his rider's face; the little blue used to be so shy that he would merely watched the others play instead of starting the rough-housing.

Standing a little apart from the growing group, T'nel watched shyly at the other's apparent familiarity. Though he'd been here for quite a while before he's Impressed, he'd met very few his own age. Briefly, he thought of Demarn, but squashed that line of though as quickly as it had come. He didn't want Falmanth upset. Beside him, said dragon was gazing back at the sky, happily commenting about the growing grey clouds.
It's going to be wet, mine! Like the lake, only from the sky. the blue said, trying to crane his neck farther back. T'nel only chuckled.
"Yes, it's going to be wet, Fallie. Wet and uncomfortable, I've no doubt. We'll probably be kept outside for training, even if it does rain."

"Well I guess it's a good thing at least half of us aren't bothered by a good soaking..." He laughs, nodding toward the dragons. "Although if we're going to be stuck out here getting drenched as well I hope it's something that actually -requires- us to be outdoors in the rain, rather than some cockeyed idea that it will 'build character'. I always hated that phrase...seems like it's always in reference to something unpleasent. So I guess the truly miserable have more character than anyone..." Maybe it will be -fun-, Mine...Jaiereth responded, eyes whirling cheerfuly at Natroth's approach, ducking his head away from the playful cuff and responding with one of his own. This is fun. You should also play. We can play while we wait...right?

"A fine one to talk about minding the rain." G'dor chuckles as he approaches the group. He made sure this time around to remind the other wyerlings that it was him doing their laundry and he might just do a shabby job next time he got stuck with the second-least-desireable chore. They hadn't neglected waking him up this time to say the least. "Coming from the port, you'd think you've seen enough water to pass that off as good weather so long as there aren't any roofs tumbling away."
Queth waddled after his rider, humming slightly simply from the scent of rain in the sky. Will, G'dor's small white kitten, hadn't been so happy about the idea and had taken G'dor's spot on the pillow of his bunk the moment that he abandoned it. Quite strange how the three of them had different opinions of the weather alltogether.

"The fact that I can handle a little rain far better than your feeble, pale self doesn't mean I have to enjoy sitting in it." He points out, running his fingers through his hair, which entirely disrupts his attempts to tie it and control it. "It's one thing to be working in weather on a ship, it's something else to just sit here and listen to someone talk. But at least I see you're awake for a change. Did we have an earthquake?" He laughed.

The little dark blue dragon let out a squeal and attempted to prance around the other in a circle--but nearly tripped over himself in the process. He was still quite awkward on his legs, though at least he didn't step on his wings anymore. Yes, yes, can't we play?
J'riar chuckled with a nod. "Sure you can play; we're just waiting for now. But you'll have to stop when the lesson starts." Glancing at R'ael, the male chuckled lightly, shaking his head. "There's nothing wrong from the rain, but true, I wouldn't stay outside in it for very long...not unless Natroth demanded it of me, eh?"

G'dor snorted sharply at the pale joke. R'ael of course meant his hair, the boy's skin was darker than many of the locals but a good few shades, almost a golden brown color to sharply contrast the chalky white hair and vibrent eyes. "Ooh and my little flaw weakens me to the rain then? That's a clever assuption."
Another snort followed by a smirk followed at the crack about his sleeping habbits. "No no, I reminded the others that it was me that was stuck doing the laundry last they neglected to wake me and it would be me doing it again... and the second time around I might not be so merciful to their clothes." He smirked a bit, tossing a bit of his hair back.
As much as he lived around water, the thought of wet trousers never was appealing, they were all that more uncomfortable, growing itchy against cold, damp skin and quite annoying to move in.
Why don't you take off them then if they upset you when wet? , The brown inquired, turning his head to the side.
That's simply indecent!, G'dor glanced around nerviously, half expecting someone to have heard that little comment... R'ael especially would give him a hard time about being timid in front of females.

"Taking it out on everyone else because you can't manage to wake up in the morning? THATS very adult of you, Little brother." R'ael jests back, with an equally sharp sound of his own. "Thats exactly what I'd want people to remember of me when THEY had to do the laundry next..." He chuckles at some mental image of G'dor with his clothes shrunken horribly as he attempts to get his hair back under control. That ones mine says he can play. Let me, too! Jaiereth fires off to R'ael, insistantly, which just makes R'ael grin even more. "Alright alright...go play then...at least until the lesson starts." He agrees, earning a flash of glee from Jaiereth, who moves to persue the other young dragon for a game. "Rain's all fine and good as long as you're doing something to keep your mind off a nice cold soaking, I agree. But it's probably easier to put up with as long as -someone- is enjoying it." he nods toward the young dragons in emphasis.

"Hardly taking it out on everyone else!" G'dor protested with a grunt, "If they go ahead and wake up eachother but neglect to wake up me that's just downright cruel. It means I get to do chores because they weren't generous enough to wake their wyermate."
Queth had already gone to join the others, finding no protest in his rider's mind. All the dragons were horribly eager for rain when their poor riders, for the most part, were doomed to stand about in damp and itchy leathers while undergoing their lesson for the day.
"So what do you figure we're digging into today?" He crossed his arms and shifted his weight to one foot, "I don't fancy we'll be needing another bath and oiling lesson though I must say some of the wyerlings last time looked quite lost."

There was no lightning, but the low rumble of distant thunder slowly rolled across the bowl, and resounded against the tall walls of the ancient structure. There was no wind safe for a careful whisper, so for the moment- the overcast skies and slightly abated temperature did not appear to be hampering the Weyrling activities for the day. The first note of the Weyrlingmaster arrival was the great green dragon, which suddenly crested from behind the weyr bowl, circled slowly, before descending down below. She landed as gently as a dragon could about a length away from the Weyrlings, sweeping her wings outwards to catch the moisture laden air, and swung them laterally to expel it. From there, the wings folded, and the dragon walked a few paces closer to the Weyrlings, and settled herself down in a heap in the grass. Her head craned upwards and peered at the collected members, her blue eyes rainbowing a few times as she observed them. Elsewhere, Farin was steadily making her way down a particularly frustrating flight of stairs. It wasn't that she had any athletic problems descending said stairs, but it was her third trip from the top of the weyr to be present at one of the weyr debriefings. It seemed that ever since the weyr had changed hands from L'cian, there were a lot more meetings with the words "De-" in front of them. And for the third time running down (having needed to go down and collect some records, after realizing that her firelizards were potential failures in the area of cooperation), it was getting at the most rather vexing. Perhaps this was karma for her. The woman exited the back flight and cave a couple shoves to the large iron and wood door before it slowly swung open. She'd taken a good route at least, it put her only a couple hundred yards from where the Weyrlings were arriving. It was good to see they were not slacking- at least, most of them anyways. As she approached the group she became aware of the weather conditions, but more or less, disregarded them. Closing in, she began to pull a pair of gloves out of the side of her pocket, and began to talk once she was in ear shot. "Good afternoon Weyrlings." She spoke, and tugged the end of the string on the glove. Haphazardly, she waved her hand. "Alright, start running." She simply put, stopped and turned towards the class, who had not seemed to move yet. "First lesson- you need to be in better shape. Run around the bowl. From here on, all the lessons start like this." She sat herself down on the rock, and began to rummage her bag. The lap around the bowl was a little over a mile. "I'd like to see it in thirteen minutes or less. If you can't do that, then you'll do it again after class." She waited. "Well- off with you!" She ushered, and Fleckin popped from between like a vulture for public torture.

J'riar merely stared at the woman as though she was crazy, a low, suffering groan floating past his lips. "Running? Now?" The brunette whined in his husky tone, but had already taken off. He was lazy, yes, but after a good bit of complaining he'd do what he was told. Natroth crooned encouragement to his bonded, stopping his play to watch the young man take off around the bowl. He was distracted by the thunder then though, tilting his little head and turning whirling eyes up to the sky.
J'riar wasn't out of shape by any means; he had to work in a field all day long before he had come to the Weyr. His long legs extended, carrying him effortlessly around the bowl...but the brunette could feel himself starting to tire when he wasn't even halfway around. He hadn't done a lot of running, more like lifting heavy things and doing a lot of physical labor. J'riar began to slow his pace, fully intending to stop and walk for a bit because he was tired...but a thought punctuated his mind before he could put the plan to action. She said you'd have to run it again if you were slow mine...she'd only be watching you then.
If the man had the breath, he would have moaned Natroth's name in distress, knowing that his little dragon was right but not liking it anyway. Pouring on some more speed, the brunette took off again, speeding around the rest of the bowl. Stopping in front of Farin, J'riar sat down, skinny shoulders moving slightly as he panted. The dragonet's eyes whirled in pleasure, and he crooned his praise to his rider, butting him affectionately with his head.
"If...I have to run it again...I'm never listening to you..." J'riar wheezed, scratching Natroth's eyeridges.
