(( Merino: Manda
Illyon: -_Wish of the Goddess_- ))

It had been several days since that hunt together, and Merino was starting to think that it would probably be safe to ... formally invite Illyon to go home with her. But still, she needed to make sure he wouldn't want to leave later. Turning her head toward the pale blue male as they walked, she purred softly. "Illyon... would you like to hear a bit more about my home?"

Looking to her from his place walking beside her, he canted his head aside, "Of course!" His tail flicked back and forth, eagerly, and he was glad to listen. Her tales fascinated him....quite a bit.

She smiled at that and bobbed her head a bit. It was starting to get hot out, anyway and she could see a kind of cliff up ahead. "Let's rest under there," she proposed - noting with an inner smile that there weren't any trees around it.

He nodded eagerly. Ears perking, he moved under the cliff, and lay himself down, crossing his paws carefully. Looking happily at her with violet eyes, he was delighted to have someone to travel with, especially someone like Merino.

Merino knew that they'd be in the forest soon, so she'd better take this time -before- the other was so jumpy to explain some things. "Well ... I guess the most important thing is that the location of my home is ... something of a secret," she said softly.

He blinked. A secret? "Covert? But why?" The pale lion was slightly curious. Why would a Pride find a need to keep their location a secret? Prides were...didn't they need new members or something like that? Having never been in one, or interacted with one, the young male found himself faced with many questions as to the nature of said amount of secrecy.

"I can't ... really explain more than that," she said, ears laying back a bit. "But you need to know that if you come with me... you probably won't be able to leave again. It's dangerous."

He thought for a moment, his ears flattening as he allowed his mind to wrap around the concept. "I don't...." The other began, thinking slowly, "think that'll really be a problem." He grinned, "I like you, after all, and there'll be others, and less trees and stuff!"

Merino smiled at that. "Well! That's good then," she replied, ears pricking up a bit. She would have to caution him about telling others what -her- job was. But that could come later, really. "Aside from that... the place is cold almost all the time. So hopefully your fur will get a little thicker," she teased.

He gently licked her nose and glared at her, teasingly. "Yeah. But it's plenty thick, isn't it?" He grinned, and rolled onto his back, stretching out, grinning eagerly. "I can't wait~"

Merino laughed at that and wriggled back a bit. "Maybe, maybe not... we'll see once it starts getting cold!" she said, standing up and stretching a bit. They would be at the forest soon ... and she wondered if he would make it all the way to the other side.

Slowly getting up, he stretched out, yawning happily, "I can't wait to see!" This was going to be great! Of course...He barely noticed the trees for now.....they'd not gotten to the forest YET.

Merino smiled at that and bumped her head into his shoulder just a bit. "Well, we'll be there soon. We just have to go through these hills first." And in the midst of them, the forest.

He nodded and padded forwards, swiping a tongue over her ear. She was so nice, and pretty, and he found himself caring more for her as they traveled together. Licking her cheek, he purred low as they continued on their way.

The pink female purred in return, padding along at a good pace. They should reach the edge of the forest today. And then they could stop for the night... and go on in the morning. Hopefully, it would only take a couple of days to get through there.

He purred happily, padding in that strange dancing way of his, like he often did when he was really happy. She really was dear to him, and he couldn't WAIT to get to her home.
