Where are your favourite places to visit in this fair isle of ours?

Being a born and bred Bournemouth girl that's always going to be a favoured destination of mine, but i'm not very well travelled so i'm interested in other people's haunts too 3nodding

Devon, in particular Exmoor, in particular the road from Exford to Porlock which passes Dunkery Beacon (highest point on the moor)....there is no better place. You're so high up, you can see for miles, on a clear day across the bright bloo Bristol Channel to Wales (the only drawback). You are surrounded by purple heather, theres no-one else there, save a few cute daisy moo-cows and some ickle ponies, the air is clean and its so peaceful, unless you've got Brown and the gang in the back of the car bending yer lugs about something or other...

....then you edge down the steep steep hill into Lynmouth which i think i think is great...grockle shops abound but the scenery is fantastic...little switzerland they call it...im getting nostalgic now for holidays of old, playing putting with my dad...in fact, last time i was there on said putting green i noticed a middle aged man with an old man which was quite clearly a vision of the future for me...i pointed this out to my friend at the time who then started whacking me with the golf bat to snap me out of it....

I love Matlock Bath,I'm always drooling over the motorbikes that are lined up there! xd I find the place very relaxing, though I imagine it's a sod walking up & down those steep steps & slopes. O_o

some heather...typical of Exmoor

a typical Devon cow...so cute...and just look at how green that grass is...the milk that you buy in Devon is the best...so creamy....it actually tastes like milk should do, and not the watered down supermarket crap you get elsewhere...
