Noelle's Lessons (('ho feck...)) Noelle's lessons take place in the local scenic park just down the street from Talis' apartment, where she can walk by herself. The trees are limited and well-spaced to allow the sunlight to stream down throughout the whole park, though there is some thicker growth near the duck-pond at the southern end. On the east side, there is a small playground for children. There is much destruction to be made. Noelle Should Be Working On:Control of her Earth Manipulation English(she really just kind of grunts at the moment..) Aneko:Female. Long, crimson strands of hair are bound atop her head in an ornate, oriental style of bun. Her skin is a pale white, and her eyes are a slightly slanted, mirror gray. She has control over ice. JiroMale. Hair is a short, choppy white with all of his bangs lopped over his left eye and the rest of his hair sticking up in the back. His skin is the same red as Aneko's hair, but perhaps a little lighter. His irises are gold in their color, but everything else -including the whites of his eyes- are black. He has the ability to shape-shift.

"...Coming?" She stood before him with her hands placed on her bony little hips, and tossed her head in a sort of commanding manner. Noelle didn't appreciate the way Talis hadn't yet looked at her, even though she'd been breathing down the young man's neck for quite some time now. How dare he. Sure, she could ignore being disregarded by simple strangers, but him? He was supposed to be taking care of her, dammit!
Talis ducked his head as he untied his dress shoes with slender, well-manicured fingers. What a hard day at work. And now Noelle was supposed to be heading to her first lesson. He could at least walk her to the first, couldn't he?
No. He was tired, he was hungry, and he was irritable. Talis had no desire to impress upon Noelle's tutors that he was some sort of grumpy monster seeing as she was going to be stuck with them. He'd rather appear to be neglecting. Besides, his fae was getting to be a big girl. She'd already shown that she was tough enough to beat up on boys. And she'd been holding his hand all the weak through. In all truths, Talis was beginning to feel uneasy around her. She was, in reality, a clingy little girl.
"No. I'm not." He told her finally, gazing at her harshly from behind his inky black bangs. Without his glasses, she got the full bloody force. Then again, she had seen them more than often and they were not scary to her. "You can walk by yourself. Watch out for broken glass on your way down to the park. I don't have a first-aid kit handy in the house. And please, be tolerable on the first day?"
"Tolerable?" She arched a brow. She didn't know what that meant. She probably never would.
Fine! She could go by herself then. She didn't need that stupid male to look after her. Huffing up all her pride and puffing out her chest like some proud bird, she nodded to him and then hurried out.
When she got to the park, she was truly unsure of what to do. The sun rays felt good against her back, admittedly. In the end, Noelle ended up draping herself across a large, man-made boulder. Those teachers could find her.

((Honestly is going to love Noelle for the rest of her life~!!))
"You know, if you hadn't taken so long getting ready..." Jiro muttered. He rushed after his companion, the jacket fitting him awkwardly as he tried to button it back up.
"Funny how you say that, but I end up looking more groomed." Aneko replied. Stopping, she turned around and arched a brow. "Coming, sweetheart?"
Jiro growled, but he didn't say anything else. He wore a casual suit, no tie, collar open and cufflinks lost in his pockets and there she was, looking so pristine in her skirt and blouse.
Too bad he couldn't kill her.
"Now, stop complaining all the time, and let's get to it."
Jiro sulked the entire way, completely obediant to his companion, but not liking it. As they neared the clearing he looked around suspiciously. "Are we even supposed to be doing things like this over here?" Holding earthquakes in public? What if they killed people? ... Well. That wasn't too bad. But what if they killed people AND Shy heard about it?
"I'll take care of it." Aneko replied. "We've got a spell one of the other fae's laid out for us. Go around the clearing and place these in every corner-- after we leave, take them home and everything will return to normal."
Skeptical but not willing to disobey Aneko, Jiro took the small bag full of tiny white pebbles. "But that means I'm not going to be there when you talk to her." he complained.
Aneko stared at Jiro, hard.
With a grumble, he headed off.
"Noelle."
There must be a reason she was an ice elemental. Cold, professional, frosty. She stood there, arching a brow and watching the flamboyant behavior of the little girl. Quite striking really, but too passionate and violent for her tastes.
"Jiro and I will be your tutors." she said. "We'll be teaching you control over your gift, as well as some other rudimentary subjects." she paused. "You DO know how to read?" she asked skeptically.
Noelle was raised by something other than fae, after all. Who knew how they raised their children?

She felt Aneko's eyes upon her before she'd even spoken, but she'd chose to lounge in the sun just a little while longer. When Aneko spoke, she really had no more reason to disregard the fae, so she was fixed with a mismatched gaze.
"Jiro." She finally murmured, and glanced around for the young man. Wasn't it rude not to come greet your pupil before you run off to set up? She thought it was, but she -surprisingly- let it pass. She'd seen him before, so she knew what he looked like. It was no huge loss at the moment. "And you?" Aneko had obviously forgot her own name in the introduction and now Noelle was asking for it. She had to address the woman somehow... And Aneko wouldn't like the nickname Noelle might pick out.
A small hissing sound came as the teacher mentioned reading. She'd sucked her teeth to make the sound- how very lady-like.
"Some." She admitted, curling her legs under her dress carefully. She could read some, but she didn't really have much of a vocabulary or great understanding in the language. It was really her own fault for missing Talis' rare teacher sessions just because Dion was always around him. The kid had been the size of a bug the other day, and now he was taller than her. It was frustrating.
If Aneko wanted any more, she'd have to ask. Noelle wasn't a very chatty little girl, even though the icy fae did have some brownie points tallied up from their last encounter.

Noelle watched Jiro approach with what seemed to be a bored expression. In reality, she was on guard. For both of them. They were older than her, bigger than her, and thus the dominant creatures, but she wouldn't let that fact escape through her facade and worry her features. She rolled his words about in her mind thoughtfully, considering that he didn't talk much.
"He tried." She said darkly, following their comments about Talis' supposed priorities. And then her face softened again like clouds breaking just before a storm. A soft, sweet giggle escaped her after this and she sat up to perform an even more graceful form on the rock. Her legs were daintily curled at her side with most of her white dress hiding them, though her bare little green feet protruded just a little in a girlish way. One hand held the hem of the dress to keep this so while resting on her ankle, and the other hand propped her up against the rock. She must have thought herself to be a 'sweetheart' indeed...
"I understand, ma'am." She said up to Aneko with her eyes widened in what was intended to be fright. Her lower lip even quivered a bit. However, when she turned her head to talk to Jiro and her red hair formed a helpful curtain over the side of her face so that her expression was hidden from Aneko, her eyes sparked a wicked challenge.
"Teacher," She asked him in that lilting voice of hers. And from the way she was staring directly at Jiro, she was most definitely referring to him. "Will I be like that?" It sounded like the innocent question of a young girl with that tone of hers -like a wondrous question of the wide world- but from the way her eyes sparked at him it gave the playful implication.... Oh. They were going to just love her.
Elementals not powerful? If she didn't know 'elemental' applied to her as well, she would have been mad. She'd show him up later, perhaps... Prove him wrong.

((*runs up in protective gear and snuggles Noelle* Luuuuuff~~))
Jiro was beaming at Aneko. See? Look at what a sweetheart she was! She was perfect! Such a polite little girl as well.
"You mean, stupid?" Aneko answered Noelle's question abruptly.
Jiro looked hurt. "You don't appreciate my power enough." he grumbled. "Shape shifting is powerful, okay?"
Aneko rolled her eyes in a bored fashion. How many times had she heard this conversation, the 'shapeshifting in any animal is fun and much better than controlling ice.' talk? Sure Jiro could shape shift, but he always kept the same mass-- which made him into a tiny tiger, and a really fat domestic cat.
Jiro paused. "I was not fat." he said.
Not that they could read minds-- but it was such an old argument between them. He liked Noelle- she was pretty! And look, she was so sweet as well...
"You'll be what you want to be." Aneko said simply. "We're going to alternate lessons. First one's with me, and with power. Next one, expect to sit in a boring house with my partner and discuss the consequences of the first Fae war."
Jiro was almost sulking-- she was boring. She wasn't usually like that. In fact, Jiro, being the smart, sensitive man he was, would have to speak her about it one day.
... one day faaar away. When he knew how to deflect her attack.
"Now, show us. How much can you do?"
Jiro blinked, surprised as well. He didn't know too much about Noelle (alright, he'd skipped the reading, okay? Happy now?) and wanted to know.
Surely, it was something sweet, playful.
Hmm... maybe she controlled butterflies.

((xDDD
Noelle: *allows herself to be pampered* u_u *sniff*))
She listened to their argument in what seemed like boredom, though her eyes sparked with some mild amusement and betrayed the whole look even in its briefness.
She was asked to perform her gift, and at this Noelle stiffened somewhat, but her face shifted into a soft little smile.
"Not too much." She admitted, pouting at her teachers. "Father doesn't like it." What a horrible man he must be! At least something from him brushed off on her and she seemed to possess some proper etiquette. "Of course!"
Another giggle escaped her and she cleared her throat daintily, humming a few notes deep in her chest. Jiro seemed quite taken by her, but Aneko didn't seemed to be convinced. A shame. To Jiro she gave an extra little fluttering of her eyes before she straightened in her pose. This gave her air column full access of the oxygen she drew in through her nose, eventually causing her flat chest to preen outwards with the collected air. Her lips parted afterwards. How sweet -- she was to sing a song for them.
But what burst forth from that little creature was not sweet at all, nor did it seem possible that such a sound was not ripping her in half. There it was, though, a terrible screech that very well could have snapped the sound barrier if it went up a few decibels. She wasn't just screaming, either, she was throwing some backbone into it so it was an absolute wail. You would have thought they were killing her with all the noise that brat was making!
The earth seemed to take pity on her and lamented, rumbling furiously in the contained area while trying to breach the outside of the barrier as well. The earth was good here, so it wasn't easily cracked. The roots of trees in the vicinity uprooted themselves with an awful ripping sound, though, and some of the trunk even splintered. It seemed Noelle was the only safe one when the soil rocked itself back and forth with enough force to send one sprawling.
And suddenly, the sound was cut off abruptly as Noelle snapped her lips promptly shut. She immediately reached up to smooth her hair out, smiling serenely.
"How was that, Teacher?" She asked in what seemed to be a cautious tone. The earth was loose now. Even though it hadn't snapped open didn't mean one false move would send one sinking through several feet of soil.
((You tell me if that was a little much.))

(( XD Fine, fine.))
Jiro was quite suffice to say, a little bit heart broken. That... that noise coming from the girl was ... surprising. He maintained his balance, standing with his legs splayed apart but that didn't stop him from jumping a little because of the trees.
This... this was...
Aneko sent him a look. It was a satisfied, 'I told you so' kind of look and she seemed smug with the knowledge that this was proof of the girl's personality. Watching with a stoic expression, she nodded her head with approval.
"That's good." she said simply, looking around at the damage. If they were generals, she would be a fine weapon to own... "How much control do you have over the range and depth of your gift? Does singing increase your working circumference?"
She was curious, titilated by the fact that someone like this was hers to train.
Jiro sulked. He liked his butterfly ideas better... but at her words, (and because he was such a sucker for girls who battered their eyelashes), he nodded.
"It's good. I'll speak to the other fae about more control--" he tilted his head. Maybe they should pull Sethos into this for damage control...

Noelle stared quietly back at Aneko, hiding her irritability for all the explaining she was supposed to be doing. As if she were thinking about her powers, she turned her attention away from her tutors and twirled her hair about her fingers. In reality, she was just trying to break what Aneko had asked into terms she could understand. She was a child, after all, even though she'd like to be treated like a lady in all the other fields.
How much control of range and depth? So, how much earth did she think she could confidently move? That'd have to do for now.
"Past the rocks." She answered after a moment, gesturing to the small stones Jiro had set out. Yes, she'd noticed them if nothing else. "Not much. No practice. Apartment." Here was that little communication deficiency she had, where she'd emphasize nothing that wasn't a good quality of hers or a specific threat. This simply translated out to be 'I can't really experiment because I live in an apartment and my stiffy owner would rather not pay for the damages.' And then a quirk of the brow, which added a 'I thought that was what you were for' in her own language. Snippy little brat.
"Other Fae?" She suddenly turned to Jiro, her eyes narrowing momentarily. Oh, no, that would not do at all. They were her tutors until she was done with them, and talking about training other fae in her presence was not the best idea. Especially not that Sethos boy -though he thankfully hadn't been brought up yet- who'd already snatched one of her 'minions' away. Noticing that the look she produced was not at all cute, her expression melted into a more needy one, as if she were about to cry at any moment. 'Don't you like me?' So pitiful, but she wasn't too proud to put it up in the stead of a nasty little sneer. No, that'd give her wrinkles later in life!

Noelle smiled, almost smugly, to Jiro as he confirmed her suspicion and abolished the possibility of that ever happening. Then again, Aneko was clearly the one in charge here, so if she were to irritate the fae, who is to say Jiro wouldn't back down like he was doing now? The male was still on the stand in her mind- the pedestal on which she'd judge him to be useful or not.
"Okay." She agreed to Aneko's lesson plan, for it sounded just dandy to her. More action and less of that boring chit-chat she'd often seen Talis engaging in. Watching him be scolded by Aneko for not letting her practice should be a treat, though. From the way she was uneasily shifting atop the rock, she was eager indeed to begin the lesson.
((Fragile. Ha. xD))
