Given we only have 20 days left in this month, I doubt this win will affect much on a large scale.
I DO know that there are a set of Regionals going on across the nation(s) on the 28th and 29th. There's one in Ottawa and one in Syracuse, for examples.
It's looking like we're going to have to start taking STUN a little more seriously.
Thoughts on STUN's win or anything else regarding the final YCS of this format?

I am not entirely surprised by STUNs win. I have always kinda felt that STUN had a great deal of potential. One question...can you link me to the list? If its posted.

For those curious as to the decklist of the STUN Deck.
Anthony Meier (1st Place – Anti-Meta)
Monsters: 17 2 Cyber Dragon 3 Thunder King Rai-Oh 3 Doomcaliber Knight 3 Banisher of the Radiance 3 Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo 2 King Tiger Wanghu 1 Spirit Reaper Spells: 10 3 Book of Moon 3 Smashing Ground 2 Enemy Controller 1 Heavy Storm 1 Mystical Space Typhoon Traps: 14 1 Mirror Force 1 Solemn Judgment 1 Starlight Road 2 Royal Oppression 2 Magic Drain 2 Sakuretsu Armor 2 Bottomless Trap Hole 3 Dimensional Prison Side Deck: 15 1 My Body as a Shield 2 Legendary Jujitsu Master 3 Pulling the Rug 2 Dust Tornado 2 Compulsory Evacuation Device 2 Crevice into the Different Dimension 1 D.D. Crow 2 Trap Hole Extra Deck: 4 1 Chimeratech Fortress Dragon 1 Cyber Twin Dragon 1 Black Rose Dragon 1 Stardust Dragon
Upon lookin at the deck I can see how he did well. How we won the whole thing I dont fully understand. The deck does a nice job of giving him lots of opportunities to slap his opponent around what with Saku, D.Prison, Smashin and Book. Though I am unsure as to why he didnt include Honest. He has a lot of good targets for it.

Well, look at it this way... King Tiger Frogs, all of them are under 1500 attack Sabers, all but Airbellum and Boggart Knight are under 1500 attack Infernities, all but Archfiend is under 1500 attack Quickdraw, everything is under 1500 attack GB, negligible
Banisher Frogs, need the GY Quickdraw, need GY Sabers, want GY Infernities, need GY GBs, negligible since a lot of builds like D Fissure
DCK Frogs, repeat effects ignore it Quickdraw, is hurt by the control it brings Sabers, hurt by it Infernities, again, ow GBs, they HATE DCKs
Rai-Oh Frogs, negligible Quickdraw, stops synchros Sabers, screw you Darksoul, Troll and Synchros Infernities, Archfiend and Synchros GBs, 1900 is a big monster for them to take down, also stops Herk and Gyzarus
Fossil Dyna Frogs, special summoning necessary Quickdraw, special summoning necessary and when it is hit, bye bye tokens and synchros Sabers, see above minus tokens Infernities, see above GBs, see above
It's gorgeous and I'm happy it finally showed up.

I agree with your entire post. At first I wondered why no Burdens or D.Fissure but really the deck doesnt need them. Its very pared down to exactly what is needed and effective against each of the main Meta Decks. Almost elegant really.

I always took STUN seriously too but in a very "play smart" kind of way. It looks like, now, a bit more brute force will have to be added to the mix.
