Name: Corgano Quitina (Spanish style)

Nickname(s)/Alias(es): None to date
Race: Arrancar
Age: 367 years actual, appearance of 32
Height: 4 feet, 6 inches tall
Weight: 180 lbs
Rank: Awaiting assignment, if found deserving.

Physical Description: Corgano is quite short, just taller than being a literal dwarf in humanoid form. The two most common descriptions of him would be "hairy" and "muscled." Being so small, he has done everything he can to bulk up, becoming a dense wall of muscle, even if only 2/3 the size of his fellow humanoid Arrancar. His hair is a medium brown, and thick as it goes just below his shoulders. Worn away from the face, the mane is rarely kempt, allowed to go wild. His eyes are an ice-blue, and he enjoys unnerving those that are caught off-guard by his stare. He has a constant stubble on his face, stemming from him hating too much hair on his face, but having better things to do than 'shave it off.' With nothing to hide, Corgano wears tight clothing, showing off his physique, and prefering to maintain mobility without flowy . . . flashy . . . useless crap in his way. More oft than not, his choice in cloth is anything that flows with him, preferring silky textures but rarely growing upset at any ruined clothes. Beneath his clothes, he has many scars- a result of how hard he has fought for any inch of respect. He wears his sword on his back, and while only as long as a shortsword compared to others, it looks impressive on his back. His neck is the location of his hollow heritage, with a thick set of four overlapping layers of white bonelike armor protecting the back of his neck. Few see this because of his wild hair.

Personality: Corgano is the epitome of no-nonsense. He is blunt, forceful, demanding, and vulgar. He makes no bones about what he wants, and is not afraid to get it himself unless somebody stronger is in his way. Corgano is forceful- not stupid. After more than a few fights, he knows better than to charge into every battle, and will do whatever it takes to win. Be it with swords, words, a well thrown rock, a headbutt to the groin, whatever it takes. His motto? "Win any way I have to."

He is sensitive about his height, but compensates with strength. A favored tactic is to act like he doesn't mind, and then explode into motion, break the legs of whatever or whoever insulted him, and then keep laughing as they are forced to be as short as he. Corgano has a loud booming voice, one he is not afraid to use. More than anything else, he values respect given to him. Disrespecting him is an oft fatal mistake.

Zanpakutou: Zaparrazo (Claw)

Sealed Form: Reminicent of a Gladius, the blade is 22" in length, with a half-circle at the crosspiece. Handle is smooth and tapers in slightly towards the bottom, with a decorative flowing symbol on two sides where the tapered handle is widest. The blade is plain without any color, and the entire handle is a deep brown, near black. ->Link<-

Release Phrase: Crush them, Zaparrazo!
Resurrección Name: Crustáceo Barón de Dominar (Crustacean Lord of Dominance)

Resurrección Description: Corgano, despite his height issues, does not get much taller in this form. Instead, he gets heavier and wider. Taking on a very thick chitinous armor, his legs are replaced by eight insect-like legs ending in points. His midsection all but disappears under his torso, made wider with thick muscles and his neck also disappears. His arms become as large as the rest of him, each one dramatically increasing in size. The ends of his arms are now overshadowed with thick, powerful, crushing claws. To date, Corgano has not run into anything he cannot crush with them. His hands remain, but are halfway up the claw section of armor, and do not enhance with any strength beyond the sealed state. When not in use, they fold into the arm and merely seem to be a fold on the claw arm. All the heavy power is in his claws. His right arm is slightly bigger than his left, because of him being right-handed.
Approximate weight: 400lbs
Height 5"
Color: a sandy brown with ebony on his claws, eyes are total black ->based of a Stone Crab<-

Resurrección Powers/Attacks: Physical speed is improved by half along the ground, but jumping ability is all but negated. He can fold into himself, forming a sort of large disk with no demonstrable gaps in his armor. This defensive mode is near absolute, but does not allow for counterattacks. Immeasurably strong, without a known limit, at least to Corgano.

Corgano relies heavily on his thick armor, thicker than most. he has little choice, as it limits his agility, making him very strong, but not able to move well. This suits him fine as he would rather take a blow and then come for more than worry about being hit. His power is in kinetic force. Much of his crushing strength is in his ability to generate waves of force in his claws.

Other applications include the "Onda de choque" or shockwave, in which he snaps a claw shut as hard as he can, creating a blast around him of kinetic energy capable of pushing most matter away a minimum of five feet. If both claws are used, then the minimum is 15 feet.

Also is his distance move, "cinético estallar" or kinetic puncture. This can be fired at 100 feet, but loses half it's power every 25 feet. In close, the blast is strong enough to demolish buildings, at 50 feet throw a person hard enough into a wall to do damage to said wall, at 75 feet be as strong as a heavy punch, and beyond that is similar to a moderate push- enough to unbalance a normal fighter . . . or an unprepared one. All his abilities translate well to his favorite medium- liquid. Corgano vastly prefers to be underwater in this form, losing nothing, and gaining far more mobility in the process. His cinético estallar has it's range sorely limited to 1/3, but underwater is his element.

Special Accessories: None currently. Only the clothes on his back, his sword, and a bad attitude.

Skills: Excellent tumbler in his normal state. What most put into leaping and jumping, Corgano concentrated on rolling and absorbing impact. Very strong, and decent brawler. All skills were honed over fights over pride and gaining respect in his life as a hollow, and the stages between then and now. His blunt personality often gets him into skirmishes, and his small stature leads others to think him weak- so he has regular practice on how to move, absorb blows, and deal damage.

Abilities:

  • Esparcir Cero - Similar to the mid-point between Bala and Cero, a powerful Cero blast is diffused into a dozen blasts all from the same point of origin and set in a random pattern. Even Corgano does not know where the blasts will hit, and is typically used to unbalance an enemy or as crowd control. As each fragment of Cero is split, the power is weakened, so each blast is nowhere near as strong as a single beam. Instead, the blast is enough to hurt moderately, but not enough to kill or disintegrate as an individual fragment.
  • Cero - are high-powered energy blasts that can be fired from different body parts, such as mouth, tongue, hand or fingers. Cero typically appear as a red blast of energy for most Hollow, but depending on the Arrancar, they can be different colors.
  • Bala - Bala is an Arrancar alternative to Cero. The technique hardens the user's spiritual pressure (Reiatsu) and fires it like a bullet. Although it is weaker than a normal Cero, it moves about twenty times faster and can be fired at a much higher rate, but the damage is much the same. Stronger Arrancar can also fire a more powerful Bala, while retaining its twenty-fold speed.
  • Garganta - is how Arrancar and Menos-class Hollows move to and from Hueco Mundo. Garganta literally tears open the dimensional fabric between the worlds, to a tunnel of black and white energies that have to be focused by the traveler into a solid path.
  • Hierro - refers to the hardened skin of the Arrancar, which is a result of their compressed spiritual power. While their skin is strong enough to block even released Zanpakutou bare-handed, it is by no means impenetrable. Stronger Arrancar generally have proportionally stronger skin than usual.
  • Pesquisa - is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami ability to sense Spiritual Pressure (Reiatsu). It functions very similarly to sonar.
  • Sonído - is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami Flash Steps (Shunpo) and the Quincy Hirenkyaku; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances.

Biography/History: Unlike some of his bretheren, Corgano has no interest in what he was in the world of the living. In that life, he was a corporate man for an investment firm. He had chosen that life because of the limited human contact. While adept at his job, his personality kept him from advancing far in the corporate world. Without the patience for office politics, he would often cause problems rather than solve them. His work was always done- and done well, but people couldn't stand him for the most part. Corgano had few friends, and when he died of a massive coronary, few mourned him. As a plus this lack of respect for him, even in death, gnawed at him. That anger and frustration is what drove him to be a hollow, and when he gained power, the feeling was intoxicating. He was constantly underestimated, and Corgano grew to depend on that. Without fail, those that stayed away saw him win time and again. Those that underestimated him either were killed . . . or later eaten. When Corgano fused with others into a Menos Grande (Gillian), his blunt personality immediately dominated the new creature. Still, this was the perfect opportunity for one that never looked back to forget his past. When he emerged on the surface world, Corgano neither remembered his previous life- nor did he want to. "Past and gone, who cares?" The path to advancement and evolution was all that mattered. Now, as an Arrancar that goal still remains. Those that respect him are tolerated. Those that depend on him are given respect back. Those that underestimate him typically end up dead, with Corgano wiping their entrails off his chin.

Reworked using form from Las Noches:

Name:
(What is your characters full name? How is it pronounced, and if applicable please translate it.)

Number:
(All non-Espada arrancar are either a Numeros (11-99) or a Fraccion to a current Espada. If your character is a Fraccion their number is simply a fraction of their leader’s number over their Numeros number. Say "so & so" is a Fraccion of Grimmjow (6th Espada), it would appear like (6/??) Also check the 3rd Generation Espada list for all the taken numbers.)

Aliases/ Nicknames:
(Is your character known as someone special, or is there an abbreviated version of their name that they respond too?)

Physical Description:
(What does your character look like, how do they carry themselves?)

Zanpacto & Resurreccion:
(Remember, a Arrancar’s Zanpacto is simply a weapon that locks away their true powers, and when released temporarily allows them to use their previous hollow abilities.)

Special Accessories:
(Is your character equipped with any special items that give them added powers or abilities? Or is there simply an item or article of clothing that makes them stand out from the other Arrancar?)

Abilities:
(What are the physical abilities of your character?)

Personality:
(How does your character behave, what are their beliefs, and what are their morals?)

Biography/History:
(What made your character they way they are, how did their past shape them today?)

Powers:
(A list of powers your character has successfully mastered; remember that all Arrancar can perform basic hollow techniques. Besides listing those basic abilities, what other powers does your character possess?)

Role-Play Example:
(Write a short story of your character interacting with Aizen, Tosen, or Ichimaru.)

Name: Corgano Quitina (Core-gah-no Key-tee-nah)

Number: I would prefer Espada 10 (Pride would work well for this character as an embodiment of death/sin), but that is at your discretion.

Aliases/ Nicknames: Shorty / hairball / little f*@&er

Biography/History: Unlike some of his bretheren, Corgano has no interest in what he was in history. In life, he was always small. Throughout his life, his short stature was both a point to be picked on by others, and a sore spot for him to deal with. Over time, a complex of aggression developed, one that he never truly mastered. Known to start more than his fair share of brawls, he only gained more attention in his teens and early adulthood as one to test against. Oddly enough, Corgano grew to crave that attention. It meant he was seen as an equal, rather than just the short guy. That example only led him through life. Each night, he would gladly get into a fight, and often win.

During the day, he became a corporate man for an investment firm. Corgano had chosen that life because of the limited human contact, keeping from the stares and comments that would drive him to fight. While adept at his job, his personality kept him from advancing far in the corporate world. Without the patience for office politics, he would often cause problems rather than solve them. Role-Play Example: The eternal night continues out on the sandy plains of Hueco Mundo. The constantly shifting dunes of white sand and occasional crystalline tree are equally endless, except for the few combatants that have evolved beyond the Menos Forest. One of those battles has just ended, and the carnage is total. Three Vasto Lordes now lay destroyed on the sand, one shaped as a centipede as long as a bus was the first victim. His killer broke through the soft underbelly, and literally dug his way up. Erupting out the head, the amount of gore was truly impressive.

Second was one shaped like a mantis. Using a plate from the now dismembered centipede, the victor had used the chitin shield to both block and stick the main offense in the shield. That single move stopped a heavy attack, and removed any chance of counter as the mantis' head was forcibly removed and consumed. The final victim was a lamia-esque creature. Torso of a humanoid and the body of a lion.

Pleading for it's life, the lamia suggested an alliance which was undone by a single fatal flaw. The victor against to massive and powerful foes was a very short Arrancar with wild hair and a strong prideful streak. The first two were for fun and food . . . he really did not need another meal. The mistake was an offer to ride the lamia around as part of the alliance because the short one was "small enough to ride." At that, the Arrancar hopped on with a straight face, and then shoved his fists through the back and lungs of the lamia's torso. That insult was enough to end the lamia's life.

Corgano, the victor of a bloody battles now stands in the sands, covered in gore and sand. He suffered no injuries, and has his fill of the three in a banquet. Showing neither respect for the newly dead, nor any form of manners, he gladly rips a few mouthfulls from the corpse of his latest kill with a big grin, and in a deep gravelly voice he speaks to himself.
"Cat tasted a damn sight better'n bugs!"

From the nearest dunetop, a voice speaks with calm and even amused tones.
"My, my . . . This is quite a scene, your strength must be quite scary!" Corgano freezes mid-chew. With wide eyes, he slowly looks over his shoulder and swallows hard. This punk didn't make a sound . . . didn' even feel him comin'! Just as with his prior enemies, he tries to size up this new person. Tall, not overly muscular, and wearing white robes. Despite his distaste for flowing and 'meaningless' extra lengths of cloth, Corgano understands that this one could hide a lot in those sleeves. Likely the most unnerving here is this newcomer's face. Frozen in some sort of smile, his eyes are squints and silver hair comes down threatening to overtake his eyes. He might be friendly . . . if he weren't so creepy.

Corgano slowly stands, the fact that its on the corpse of one of his kills doesn't bother him much. What does is that this guy is strong- very strong, and yet doesn't make a move to share in the free meal. If he likes his meal fresh, this guy isn't in any hurry. Realizing that the last comment may have been an invitation to talk, the deep voice of Corgano responds in neutral tones.
"Ah'm strong enough."

"You certainly seem so. Taking down all three of these must have been hard." Corgano narrows his eyes at this comment, but not out of anger. This man had no condescension in his voice, no teasing or belittling. So accustomed to being underestimated because of his size, this shocks the Arrancar. Like the lamia under his feet- and in his belly now, Corgano wonders about an alliance. Before he can say it aloud, this stranger beats him to it. "I'm looking for strong ones like you. My Lord could always use another strong-arm." Again, the tone is open, welcoming even. Despite suspicion, Corgano finds himself walking forward, approaching this very tall man in white. In his typical blunt manner, he speaks his mind.

"What do yeh and yer 'lord' want me for? And who are you?" The arrancar expected this to cause a problem- it always does. Rather than be ruffled, the man turns his frozen smile on him and . . . bows.

"My name is Gin, and what Lord Aizen wants is best left to him. You really should walk with me." Without thinking, Corgano falls into step beside this Gin person. Neither in front, nor behind, but at his side. To one so often talked down to, this means a great deal to Corgano. This acceptance, this willingness to be treated as an equal and the calm attitude makes him curious. With a full belly, and a curious mind, he walks across the sands to wherever he is led. Already his mind has determined the extremes to expect.

Best case scenario? This is going to lead to a team of strong people, offering the best chance to keep getting stronger. For all the life he cares to remember, that has been his goal- to always become stronger. Worst case? This is heading for an ambush. A dark smile on his face, Corgano rubs the knuckles of his fist on his mouth as if to wipe away drool. Won't be the first ambush turned feast.

Not my absolute best, but a hiccup lost my first attempt. This is a shorter version where the battle between three Vasto Lordes and Corgano was lost. I work best with others to interact with, and hope this is satisfactory.
