Ah, a pretty day. Out in the front yard, Flitch was out playing. Not with anyone, really, just playing and aking up his own games. It seemed he was on an adventure of sorts, judging by how he was tumbling about the yard, waving a stick as if it were a sword.
"Ha!" he cried, hastily adjusting his glasses. "Take that, foul monster! You shall regret the day you dared to invade the kingdom of Cashil! Hah!"

Aletea watched from the side of the yard, Lia in her arms, with a twitch at her lips. How cute! She almost felt sad to interrupt Flitch's game, as it looked like he was enjoying himself. He'd also grown up since she'd last seen him, she noted.
She waited for a moment, then spoke with a grin. "Do you care to have an addition to this adventure, Sir Flitch?" A moment later, she added, "I have to go run some errands, and the last time this little girl came along for that, she escaped."
Lia was watcing Flitch just as curiously, avidly taking in the waving of the stick. That looked fun!

Flitch paused, flushing slightly at being caught in his make-believe game, but he still grinned nonetheless. It was mildly embarassing being caught doing something silly like being caught what he was doing, but still! It was nice seeing Miss Aletea and Aurelia again!
"Hey!" he called, waving. "Aurelia can join no problem! Want me to look after her? I help keep an eye on my brothers, so I can watch after Lia for a while..."
That said, he flashed a wide grin at the corn Sin'aeis, waving her over. "Come on, Lia! Wanna play with me?"

Aletea put Aurelia on the ground, then waved at Flitch, "Thank you! I should be back in an hour or so."
Then, after a few more moments, she headed off.
Lia toddled over to Flitch, her grin eager - and upon reaching him, promptly pointed at the stick. "Cannaye play wi't dat too?"
She seemed very hopeful, her eyes shining. She wanted to slay dragons and fight evil fiends like Flitch had been doing! Though, the idea of the little baby being allowed a big stick was somewhat unsettling. She'd probably wind up wacking someone or something by accident, sooner or later.
"I wanna def-den-de'pend Cashil too!"

Flitch nodded, then gave a wave at Aletea as she left. Now, left alone with Aurelia, the blue-haired Sin' grinned and squatted down so he was even with the corn Sin'.
"This?" he asked, waving the stick a bit. "I think it's a little big, Lia. But there are lots of stic-swords. We'll find one for you, one that's a proper size. Then we can defend the kingdom of Cashil together as the two greatest knights ever to exist!"
Now. A stick. Flitch's eyes scanned the yard, down near where most of the trees were. Stick. Stick stick stick. A-ha! There! Flitch trotted over to the tree, fetching a fairly straight stick that was well-suited to Lia's small hands. Returning, he grinned and handed her the Lia-sized stick.
"Here you go," he said, placing the stick in her hands. "This is your mighty sword, used to defeat all evil! Wanna get started?"

Lia swelled proudly as she recieved her stick. She had a sword! And she was a knight, just like Flitch. Beaming up at him, she nodded rather energetically. "Yup!"
Waving the stick back and forth somewhat randomly, she gave a happy cry that she most likely thought was a battle cry. She'd never actually heard one, so she had to make do with what she thought it would sound like...and it was happy, of course. Why wouldn't knights be happy about defending their lands and defeating evil monsters?
The little girl toddled forward, dramatically waving around her sword. "Chaaarge!"
((I'm actually beginning to work on a story again, that I began way back in...october, I think. *amused*))

((niiiice. I wanna read!))
With a small laugh, Flitch also held his stick up, grinning broadly. Onward! This was going to be great! He'd never played any of his make-believe games with anyone before, save for Mengde, but Mengde's head was always off in some fantasy land all the time. Oh well. This shouldn't be too different from that, right?
Swiping his sword at an invisible enemy, Flitch let out an equally cheerful cry. "Hah! Take that, foul knight! You shall fear the combined wrath of Flitch and Aurelia, the greatest knights ever!"

((Heh, you want a link, then? Just be warning: it's yaoi. (though considering you have your Ox now, somehow I don't think you'll mind heart ) http://www.fictionpress.com/read.php?storyid=2026514 )) Lia didn't have much rhyme or reason to the swinging of her sword, just randomly waving it about and pretending she was slaying monsters. Or enemies; same thing, really.
"'rat!" Was he attempt at repeating Flitch's comment about 'wrath'. Though it came out as an amusing insult, it hadn't been quite what she was looking for. Then she tripped, and let out a startled squeal; the little girl wasn't injured, but she was surprised.
Blinking confusedly for a moment, then she swiped her sword randomly about some.

((Yaoi is love. And I love your story. xd ))
"Oh!" Flitch dropped his stick, kneeling down beside Lia, blue eyes wide. "You okay Lia?" Oh dear. She didn't look hurt, but still... If she got hurt while Flitch was on watch, he'd feel awfully terrible.
After a quick check, Flitch found to his relief that Lia was indeed unhurt. He grinned at her, standing and holding out his hand. "Want a hand up?"

((Thanks ^.^
Like I said, I'm working on the next chapter right now...maybe a couple more days (depending on how much free time I wind up with) and it'll be out. If the story follows the track I have it on, the plot's going to get very...interesting >.> ))
Lia accepted the hand up, and then beamed at Flitch. "I swayed an emenie!"
She then pointed to a smaller stick that had been near her, now broken. The little girl had either landed on it, or managed to hit it with her own stick - either way, she seemed very proud of herself. It wasn't every day that you slayed an evil stick-monster, after all.
Then she asked the boy, eagerly, "Didjou get ane mon-ters too?"

Flitch grinned. Good. She seemed to be just fine. Grinning, he picked up both his and her sticks, handing Aurelia hers.
"Nice," he said. "And I got one too. He tried to fly away, but I got him. It seemed that we both did a good job fighting away monsters. You should be really proud!"

Lia, bouncing in place, nod eagerly. "Yup! 'm prowd."
She seemed happy enough with the game ending there, as she had already killed the evil stick monster. Her growling stomach attested that this was a good idea.
"D'you haf ane food?"

"Food? Yeah." Flitch nodded, grinnging and picking up Aurelia. She wqas a little heavy to someone small like him, but he nonetheless managed to carry her over towards the house. "We can go inside and get something to eat. Anvion should be just about ready with lunch."
Carrying the baby girl inside, he finally had to set her down in the front hall. Oof! She was heavy! Well, she probably weighed as much as anyone her age, but Flitch didn't really know. He wasn't known for posessing mighty strength, anyways.
"Anvi?" he called, leading Lia int the kitchen. "Anvi, my friend Aurelia came over for lunch."
Anvion, who had been busy at work in the kitchen, messing about with what looked to be some sort of soup, turned and smiled at the two Sin'aeis. "Uh-huh. Saw you two out playing. Nice to meet you, Aurelia," she said as she squatted down to get a good look at the con Sin'aeis. "Do you like vegetable stew? If not, I can make you something different..."

((Sorry for the long wait...))
Aurelia nodded cheerfully, smiling brightly up at Anvion, "Thas's good."
She liked vegetables, so she certainly didn't mind vegetable soup. But then, the little Sin'aeis also liked meat - she liked most foods. It was one area she was agreeable in at least. Then she turned her gaze over to Flitch, wanting to make sure that he liked vegetables too: afterall, what was the point of having food if her friend wasn't going to have any?
"'You wike ved-gies too, right?"

Flich grinned and nodded. "Yep. Anvi makes really good veggies." And she did. While Flitch had normally not been the type to call vegetables his favorites, Anvion's cooking was good enough to make him eager for vegetable stew. Heck, she could probably even make him like candy!
"Here," He said, pulling a chair out with a booser seat already in it. "You can set in Mengde's seat, Lia. Is that okay, Anvi?"
"Fine by me," the blue-haired elf replied, setting two bowls of soup at the table before picking Aurelia up and setting her in the booster chair. "There you two go. I won't hang over you, so if you need anything, just call me..."
