Teepees of participating owners Sya and Yumi.

This RP is mainly between Symphonny and Drashi with an appearance from Chandra.

Sy stretched out her neck and silently yawned, she knew she shouldn't've taken that afternoon nap, because now she wouldn't be able to sleep, summer kept the sky light, but the sun couldn't battle the dim blackness of the night for long. Even as a teen Akuba did not like her going out so late, he worried about the things that could happen, for sonnet the rules were a little looser, he could defend himself, he could be loud, but Sym...it seemed as if she couldn't even harm a fly and no, she could not scream for them help which would probabbly so much needed.

Sy knew her father would disapprove, but it was rare she stepped out of the teepee due to learning the truth that most soquili just didn't have the patients or thought she was stupid over pronouncing words and shouting at her. Nobody really wanted to take time to stop and even try to have fun with her.

Life without speeh was fine for being around humans or two leggers, because they didn't understand anyway but with other soquili it was hard.

Symphony looked round her teepee, it seems that her sister was distracted, Eddie and Star were talking, but everyone else including her farther were out, she beamed, she'd just have to get through the night without bumping into her dad. Sym sped up to a slow trot, swiftly looking around for people she knew as to avoid them, especially her farther and Keii. Unbeknownst to herself she later found herself trespassing on the Miakoda herd's land.

'This actually feels quite good.' She thought to herself.
Sonnet loved to wander and in most cases it was no problem for him, she looked up to her slightly older brother, they were non-identical twins, so much so he could hear her.

Sy walked around a big tree and a couple of small ones just wandering and trying to keep her thoughts to herself. She looked down and saw hoof prints large, medium and small.
'Wow, I wonder who lives here.'

(Em... XD I was a little confused by your reply, the Miakoda herd do not mingle with two-leggers and so don't live in teepees. They are wild horses... so I am just going to 'ignore' that part, hope you don't mind and have her looking around trees at footprints or something? *snuggles*)

Drashi had been patrolling the herd lands for what felt like days, ever since the skinwalkers had attacked while he had been away he had buried himself in his work. Or at least that was the excuse he was using, the truth was he enjoyed the distraction. He didn't want to think, didn't want to feel..... things had just gone from bad to worst, just when he had started to feel that life wasn't so bad, that things where starting to look up everything had been broken and shattered into a thousand million pieces. His heart was broken on the most fundermental level -so much so he wasn't sure he could ever repair it. You see the mare that he believed he loved decided she was a wanderer, and that Drashi couldn't keep her heart here with him... and so she left, taking on of his two sons with her. He loved his son, the only problem was that he looked so much like his mother that it often upset him to look at him for long. Not that he would ever admit it.

It was at that moment that he heard an unfamilar sound and smelt the scent of a creature he didn't recognise. "Intruder." He said love in the back of his throat before he flew slightly above the ground so that his footsteps wouldn't give him away. He saw a shadow exploring the forest.... mapping out the land perhaps? A threat? His mind assumed the worst -probably because he was so emotionally unstable right now, but he landed with a soft thump and then charged the stranger. His turned at the last minute so that his rump made contact with their side in an effort to throw them off balance while he remained in a point of advantage.

Of course as he impacted the creature and then turned with a smug grin he was instantly caught with an image he didn't much like. Purple pelt, four angeni wings.... Maion had told him of a stallion called Sonnet who had matched such a description and was attempting to court his youngest daughter Chandra, "Sonnet?" He enquired but he realised the frame was far to delicate for a stallion -a mare! He had attacked a mare! "Oh crap!" he exclaimed, as he lowered his head to nudge the creature softly, "I am so sorry.... I thought.... well... I thought you where a threat." His face showed his worry, how could he have been so stupid? Why had he not watch them for longer before attacking? That was twice now... twice he had attacked an innocent. Maybe he really did need a vacation after all. Later.... right now he had to tend to the mare, "Are you injured? My herd is near by if you require medical treatment... I am sorry.... so sorry.... please forgive me." His words where met by silence.

((Corrected. Thanks again. If anything confuses you just tell me and I'll do what ever to correct it. xD

Sym's never really been attacked so she doesn't know how to react.
Sorry for all this text, I have to type lots to make up for her missing speech hehe.

I'm going on holiday from friday for 2 weeks.
So there'll be no tags during this time.))

Symphony began to follow the tracks happily observing them, her eyes ran along the crescent shapes on the ground. Before she knew what was happening it felt as if something had pushed her, she flapped her wings to try and stay upright but it was no use, she landed quite hard with a thud on the ground, stones cutting and grazing through, beneath her. She'd wimpier if she could, but all she could do was look up angrily, soon fear slipped into her mind when a winged stallion came into view, his sudden smirk cut through her like a knife, this is why her farther didn't want her out at night. She didn't think about her actions, her instinct was to spike him and flee, but her brother's name being called stopped her, she was breathless and stared at the stranger in awe.

'I'm not Sonnet!!!' She protested in her own mind. 'Wait...he know's Sonnet?'

She didn't let him touch her, how could she. Symphony shakily stood up and glared at the stallion. She was taught the respond to every question asked to demonstrate courtesy, she shook her head at the stallions question although that was blatantly a lie, all she wanted to do is wail, but she couldn't so she kept every bit of pain in. She limped back a step. 'And what would they do to me...? Hurt me further?'

She didn't know weather to trust him or not, she just shook her head with a poignant glare. She limped around him, keeping her eyes locked onto his, but her body was ready to give into defeat and follow him.
She wanted to know how he knew her brother.

Symphony slumped a little, and the look of anger and fear on her face disappeared, she tilted her head and stood up straight again, checking her wings and scrapes, and nodded to him, she'd go with him to find out more.

Symphony limped towards his side and smiled up to him weakly and coughed quietly, only the contractions of her muscles could be seen and the air that left her breath could be heard.

'I'd appreciate his assistance.'

((Not a worry hunni, I am away this weekend - a wedding in London.))

Drashi saw the mare flinch away from his touch, not that he would blaim her, it just brought home the extent of the damage he had done. If he could take it back.... if he could have taken a moment to think.... but what was the point of pondering such things when he could not change them. Sighing softly he watched her, she had not spoke a word yet but seemed -although slightly relucantly- that should would follow him.

Hoping that talking to her may ease her fears as they walked through the forest to the lake that he called home he started, part of him hoped she would speak to him. A word... something to show him that he wasn't the demon he felt like right now.

"You will like the herd. They are.... better than me. Maion and Sengdroma have done a great job of keeping a wide variety of characters together, and their three children -Io, Mal and Chandra- are good kids." He turned to look at her softly, he so much wanted to aid her struggle, he could see her breathing was labored and her leg appeared injured. Yet at the same time he knew that she didn't want him touching her, and he would respect that. "They... are probably about your age actually. You remind me of a desciption of someone, Sonnet or something like that.... courting Chandra." He tilted his head to look at her, "do you happen to know him? You seem to fit the same description -bar you being a girl of course!"

He turned away from her and lead her slowly through the weaving trees so that she could keep up with her limp, he tried to pick the easiest route with less logs and vines and things that would hinder her further.

They where getting closer now, he wouldn't usually bring a stranger here to the heart of the herd, a security risk if he saw one but something told him that silent sweet mare posed no threat to them. And his guilt was so great that he just had to do...... anything.

"Not far, I...." he hesitated and lowered his head in shame, "would appreciate it if you didn't tell them what I did, but I wouldn't blaim you if you did. I really am sorry."

Sym limped along side him and sighed shaking her head when he doubted himself, she looked at him worried.
'Don't put yourself down.'

Symphony listened to Drashi, she knew that she must've come across as ignorant and seething but that wasn't the truth and she wanted him to know that. She stopped walking when he looked and her and told her about the herd's Soquili, Maion, Sengdroma, Lo, Mal and ...Chandra.
Sym had her those names quite often, she looked up at him tear eyed and nudged him lightly with a wing putting it over him, she nodded and sniffled hoping not to let her tears fall.

'He's my brother...Oh I wish you could hear me.'

Symphony followed him with her head bowed, she was actually now quite embarrassed to be caught int such a muck, her ears flicked in his direction every time he spoke.

'Stranger I do not blame you.' She blinked and nudged him.
'It was an accident I shouldn't've gome out...it's my fault really...oh this is hopeless.'
A tear ran down one side of her face, she smiled and gently nuzzled his neck to show him that she wasn't going to tell even if she could, he'd been so kind to her.

PostPosted: Wed Aug 11, 2010 11:58 am

Despite his efforts to encourage her to speak he was slowly coming to the understanding that she was mute. He had never met a mute soquili before and he wondered how she managed to communicate with others. He assumed that those close enough to her would figure it out some how, but in such a small time he had no chance.

Yet as she touched him his heart melted slightly, he understood that she didn't blaim him and before he could stop himself he asked her directly, "Are you saying you don't blaim me for what happened? Well you should.... I attacked you without cause, pride I guess and maybe a broken heart.... got the better of me!"

Beyond that he was pretty clueless about what she was trying to say, he got that she knew Sonnet, but didn't know how. He got that she was in pain and regretting venturing out tonight -something he could not blaim her for since he had been the one to attack her. "You are too kind," he said as he tried to smile for her but it failed to reach his eyes.

"While you are being healed, would you like me to fetch you some food? Its the least I can do after injuring you. If you need a place to rest until first light I am sure the herd will accomidate you -they are pretty open about strangers.... except those who mean them harm. Skinwalkers mainly...."

Symphony knew he was trying his hardest and was clueless as to what to say to her, most were, seed seen every reaction she could think of to her silence.

Sym looked up at him, weakly sighing, she smiled weakly.
She shook her head. 'I don't blame you. Stranger...I don't even know your name.' Her heart sank when he blamed himself. 'Things like that usually cloud everyone's judgement...I'm sorry to hear it.'

Symphony tried to twist her body to heal her leg a little but she was feeling weak and could only heal a few of her minor cuts and scrapes.

Her tears had gone and she looked at him bravely and nodded a thank you to him.
'No...you have been too kind.'

Symphony continued to follow him and looked at him and nodded shyly. 'That'd be most kind of you and your herd, I don't wish for a fuss. '
Symphony really didn't want to be trouble to the herd, her ears pinned back when the stranger mentioned Skinwalkers.

He watched her continue to struggle, even attempt to heal herself and he knew it was too much. Despite the fact they where pretty close to the herd lands it was too far. "Stay here.... you are in no state to go further. We are deep in the herd lands no one will get you here... I will go get Chandra or another of the healers." Chandra may be young but she was proving to be a great asset to the herd, her healing skills had proven particularly useful as a midwife, and she had two more patients currently waiting to give birth with her assistance.

And with that he ran as fast as he could away from her calling out for Chandra as he went.

User Image

Chandra had been speaking with Renesme about what she was hoping to happen when she gave birth and about how close her contractions where getting. So far it seemed the other mare was only getting practise ones as her body prepared to give birth. However she was as big as a house and it was either two huge babies or three.

Instantly she turned her head at the introduction of a new voice. "Drashi? Whats wrong?" He seemed flustered and utterly... well, un-Drashi like. The stallion was basically her adopted brother, not too much older than she was but already with children of his own and a heart that had known so much pain it was a wonder he still found the strength to smile and laugh.

Drashi caught up to Chandra as fast as he could, bowing his head with respect to Renesme before focusing fully on Chandra once more, "someone is injured... I was wondering if you could help?"

"Oh?" She said as she quickly nodded, "Who? How?" As Drashi started to run back in the direction he had come she joined him keep pace easily with her brother.

"I am afraid I am the cause.... I em...." He blushed, he didn't want others to know his blunder but he trusted Chandra not to make a big deal of it, "I did it, I thought she was a thread... clearly she's not." He added just before they got within earshot of the purple mare he had left at the edge of the center of the herd.

As they slowed their pace and the figure of a dainty purple angeni mare came into view Chandra nuzzled her brother softly before walking towards her latest patient. As she got close she stopped and smiled, and with a slight tilt of her head she chirped; "Star? Is that you? I mean... em.... Symphony? Sonnets sister?"

Symphony looked at him with desperation, she didn't want him to leave her.
'Please don't go!!'
She looked around anxiously, she didn't move at all.
'What if someone asks me what I'm doing here?'
Symphony worried.

Soon she saw Drashi return with another mare who seemed to be vaguely familiar. The first name the mare called jogged her memory she looked astonished.
'She's grown so big.'

Sym quickly looked down embarrassed to have another mare heal her, Symphony nodded.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 11, 2010 10:16 pm

Chandra smiled softly at Symphony and then placed bent her head so that her horn could touch her leg. She found since she wasn't a pure unicorn that physical contact aided the healing process. "Please don't be sad Symphony," or that had been what Chandra had interpretted from the other mares face.

"This won't take long," she said as she concentrated so that a warm flowly like feeling drifted through her body, down her horn and into Symphony's body.

After several long moments Chandra looked up at the mare with a bright smile and asked, "How does that feel?"

Drashi watched the two mares from a short distance away, somehow he felt like he was intruding on something that was a female moment. He was still worried about the purple creature he had hurt and hoped that Chandra would be able to heal all the damage without any problems.

Symphony stood slouched with her wings held in loosely, she began to hurt a just a little less until Chandra had finished. It ticked. She wanted to squirm an laugh, but she didn't, she simply held it in and radiated it with a smile radiating happiness and embarrassment.

Sym nodded softly to Chandra. 'Thank you Chandra.'
All the time the white stallion stood watching in the corner of her eye, she turned her head and ushered him over with a wing. She didn't know quite what it was, but she didn't want him too far away. She wanted to show him that she was fine and it was all just a big misunderstanding of which he didn't have to worry about.

Now she knew how they somewhat knew Sonnet.
Sym looked away thinking for a second, she blushed and beamed at them both. Luckily for her it was not easily visible on her face, only on her nose.

'Thank you for your hospitality....damn...wish I hadn't caused such trouble...'

She knew Chandra would most likely tell Sonnet about the whole ordeal and the thought made her shrivel up again.
She tapped a morse code sentence with one of her back legs.
".- -. -.-- / --- ..-. / -.-- --- ..- / -.- -. --- .-- / -- --- .-. ... . ..--.."
[Any of you know morse?]

She knew it was a long shot and that she would look even morse mad.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 12, 2010 3:57 am

"Not a problem," she chirped Chandra chirped to Symphony as she nodded obviously in thanks. She noted how Symphony was calling Drashi over and it brought a small smile to her face, it seemed her brother didn't really need to worry to much. This mare just like any other seemed to like her brother despite his errors, he was just..... likable she guessed. In her opinion her brother was usually playfully and gentle with an honest and strong heart. He would fight for what he believed in, he would protect those he loved... and for that she loved him -as a brother of course.

Before Drashi reached them she leaned in an whispered quickly to Symphony, "Go easy on him. He is going through a tough spot right now...." she gave her a little wink and then smiled happily at her brother once more. "Drashi.... this is Symphony, Sonnets twin sister. Symphony..." she started turning to look at the mare once more, "This is my brother Drashi."

Drashi looked at his sister with a strange look as he approached the pair, that smile of hers usually only brought one thing. Trouble. Well, two.... trouble and questions. And right now Drashi wanted to know what she was scheming, because knowing his sister she was up to something.

Deciding to put it to the back of his mind he bowed his head low to the purple mare once more, "It is a pleasure to meet you Symphony."

"Oh," he said all of a sudden looking to Chandra and then back at Symphony who was now banging her hoof to the ground in an obvious pattern that he didn't understand. He tried clicking it on his tongue but still couldn't figure it out. "Sorry.... I don't know what you are trying to say. Chan?"

Chandra shook her head softly, "No idea. Must be a code or something though....." She smiled sweetly to the mare as a silent 'sorry'. "Maybe someone in the herd knows though? I can go check if you like?" She offered gently.

Drashi watched the mare and then looked at Chandra again before shaking his head. "Nah.... I don't understand it so I will just have to find another way to comunicate with her." He turned back to Symphony once more before remembering his earlier promise, boldly he spoke once more to his sister. "...but, you could tell the herd we will have a guest tonight. I offered Symphony shelter since she was injured and its dark." He knew he didn't have to explain, that either way the herd would offer her santuary for the night.

Sym considered wandering back since she was only feeling a little achey now, but there still could be creatures prowling even walking a short distance the worst could happen.

Symphony didn't want to feel such a special case or to be treated as such, but it was hard when no-one could understand her, it made her feel even more embarrassed she'd be just happy with a tree to sleep by, there was something that made her feel safe around them.

Symphony raised a brow. 'I'm not trying to...or else I would've kicked off at him.'

Soon her mouth just flopped into a pout as she watched the two converse all to often a similar sentence those most of which she had herd before.

'Drashi?' She digested the new name, Sy lifted her head and looked from Chandra to Drashi.
'I'm in their home now...best be polite...'
She softly sighed feeling hopeless, she wanted to show gratitude but wasn't quite sure how to demonstrate it.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 12, 2010 9:57 am

Chandra watched the mare and felt a little sorry for her, "I am sorry I don't know your code. It must be so frustrating not being able to commuicate easily." Playfully she nipped the mares mane before heading back to the herd, at the last moment she turned her head to look at her brother, "oh... I will tell Daddy, I am sure everything will be fine." She smiled and skipped happily away.

Drashi sighed and felt oddly nervous at being alone with the mare -Symphony- once again, there had strangely been something comforting in his sisters presence that had made him almost forget his attack. And now that he knew and understood that she was mute and not just trying to ignore him he felt even worst. What if something much worst than he had attacked her? What would she have done then? He hated the mere thought.

"This way," he said politely as he moved to her side just incase she still needed support or slip... or anything really. He just wanted her to know he was there for her. "I tend to bed down on the east side of the lake, you don't have to join me but if you like you can try and teach me this code of yours.... I em.... can say letters and words and stuff and you can tell me the code or something?" He looked at her and smiled softly, "...does that sound ok?"

Sy gave Chandra a look as if to say you're-telling-me.
'It's very frustrating, this isn't even the thick out it.'
Sy began to frown again and watched Chandra skip away, her eyes instantly landed on Drashi again, he seemed to be thinking about something briefly she could tell he wasn't too amused.

Sy walked alongside him and listen to him talk, she nodded in the appropriate places.
'I'd love the company, if he didn't mind. It'd be hard to teach him, but maybe he's a fast learner.' When Drashi smiled it made her happy to see him smile properly for the first time tonight, she beamed and nodded enthusiastically quite like her sister did.
