Hey everyone!
I'm curious, what are some of the little perks you get from being in band? Not the obvious stuff like learning about music, getting to borrow instruments, or whatever. Although you can list that too if you want :p
Some of the perks of being in our band:
-(Way too much) free pizza
-A lot of free food in general
-Other random free swag (t-shirts, hats, etc.)
-People actually think you're cool, as opposed to high school when they'd be like "marching band?? lol ew"
-Guaranteed parties every weekend (not really into that myself, but other people are so)
-Occasional really cool performances, like NFL halftime show
-Getting to look at football players' butts a lot, and discuss them with other band girls

going to DCI as a "field trip" for "educational purposes" with a side trip to an amusement park.

-winning more awards than any sports team =D ((which isnt too hard considering....*cough,cough*))
-Free football games
-performances at places that have fairs&such
-having some people to fall back on when things are bad.

There are way too many to list. Band trips, missing classes, going to Five Guys after adjudication for concert band, friends...everything. :] (PS: Free food? I wish I got free food. I have to spend all my money on food at football games and competitions during marching season.)

Free games, that's a good one. I'm so bummed that I'm graduating and will have to buy tickets next season! Of course for the more daring there is always the option of sneaking in with the band... The downside of getting food from the band is we have really weird meal times, like lunch at 9:30 am. That and it's all junk food. I feel so fat during marching season. xD

I'd sneak into football games with the band if I really wanted to. =P
Or just join them and play that night. Our alumni can come to games and play (for free) if they walk in with the band!

hm lets see...
-Free football games but its alreayd been mentioned
-Free food at competitions
-A large group of friends
-Leadership skills
-Excersize
-Free food before competitions
-An extra locker
-Getting out of town without your parents
-Getting otu of town more then your parents
-Unlie the sports team,s, the band is loved by the admin for the school
-kicking the basketball team out of the airconditioned gym becausee the school admin says its too hot outside at band camp
-knowing the school freshman year cause yo already spent bandcamp there

Getting to have a life for three months every year, with the closest friends I've made.
Getting to see more bands than any other section in my band, just because of how pit is run at festivals.
Having an excuse to get out of things you don't want to do. (eg: "Hey do you want to do *something* this weekend?" "Lol can't, have marching band")
Getting to miss extra class for pep rallies, arts assemblies, and Disney trips.
Being a part of the biggest school organization and loved by about half of the rest of the school.
