Naois struggled under the heavy box as he shuffled down an aisle. He glanced at the box in his arms, then up at the shelves. He was...a touch lost here, but that did not stop him from searching. He had only started this new job two days ago, and he was uncertain about it. He had thought the gaming store would be slow, that he'd be able to use the down time to study for his school. Instead he found himself carrying heavy boxes of books out to the floor to stock the shelves, dusting all the surfaces, and searching for specific items that customers came in looking for. Who knew that working in a hobby shop could be so hard? Naois exhaled deeply and set the box down in front of a bookshelf and knelt to rip the tape off the top. "Alright..where do you guys go..."

Allowance day! Now that she had some money, it was time to get some new s**t. Games! Oh! Maybe some new dice... Wait, was the new monster book out for Dungeon Raiders? Oh god she needed to know!
She was walking down the isles of the shop. Best to check for the book first. She had her headset around her neck, and while looking up, was not watching where she was going until she stubbed her toe on a box, and almost fell over the poor stock boy who was manning the shelves. Instead she flailed spectacularly ungracefully and clung to the bookshelf.
"SORRY!" She glanced at her feet and the box she had kicked, then at the stock boy.

When someone kicked into the heavy box, and seemed nearly about to trip over it. Naois' immediate reaction was to stand and reach out to grab the person before they fell. Fortunately they managed to grab the bookshelf first. Naois looked at the girl, and smiled faintly. "No..it's okay. No harm done. I am sorry for nearly tripping you. The box was so heavy..." He glanced down at it and eyed it. "I'm not too sure where it goes. Something about monsters. I thought maybe it went over here but..I'm still learning where things go."

"Monsters?" Indigo blinked, still holding onto the bookshelf. "AH! Is that the Dungeon Raider monster book version 7?" Her eyes brightened and she dropped down to her knees, ignoring the poor shop boy and opening the box herself to look. Her eyes sparkled. "Aaaaah! It is!" She lifted one up, staring at it. "I've been waiting a year for this to come out... Wait. Why are you putting it in the RPG guide section?" She looked up at him and smiled. "They go 2 rows down with the other tabletop manuals. Between the console strategy guides, and the tabletop rule books." Oh yes, she practically LIVED in this store, and knew it better then her own bedroom.
"Do you want me to show you?" She blinked, thinking maybe he was new. After all, he wasn't here 2 days ago when she was in last time.

"I think...perhaps..." Naois did not manage to get much further as Indigo would drop to her knees and open the box the rest of the way. Judging by the squeal that followed, it was the book she had been talking about. Naois's cheeks colored a little bit as she looked up and asked him why he brought the books there. "I...suppose I figured they went over here. I'm still learning where everything goes. I can't tell the difference between the different types of books. I don't know what a supplemental is to a Guide or why a Rulebook doesn't go with the Guides...it's all very confusing..."
Naois knelt down to heft the box back up into his arms. "Enfh..I would...appreciate it if you did. I've got another box of these in the back I need to set aside or something for pre-orders?"

"this place is set up like a timeline kind of. The older the style of game, the further back it is. Like this is the book shelf. Well, this and the 2 isles flanking it. It' in alphabetical order. But for some reason all the supplemental guides are separated from the core books. Go figure. Man, if I ran this store it would get a total overhaul." She shrugged and stood, walking down the isle with the young man.
She stopped where the books were supposed to go, still clutching the one copy she had picked up to her chest. "They go here." She smiled. "You should have a pre-order list, and you just save out those copies, but you should keep 2 extra out JUST in case." She gave him the thumbs up. "So you just start working here? I mean, I'm in here all the time and I've not seen you before. Bet it's a little over whelming, isn't it?"

"Huh." Naois managed to reply as he carried the box after the girl. "It...is all very confusing to me personally." He said with a smile as he knelt down and set the box on the floor for a second time. As Indigo continued to speak, Naois studied the shelves before him, finding the blank area he assumed was for these books, and he began to shelve them.
"I think I was shown the pre-order list. It's in the other box. I'll keep in mind to keep the two extra saved though, thanks." He looked up and brushed his bangs from his eyes eyes as he answered the girls question. "Yeah. I started work here about two days ago. It is pretty overwhelming. I thought it was going to be pretty easy, but it's turned out quiet the opposite." With the last book shelved, he stood up and picked up the empty box. "My name is Naois. It's nice to meet you."

"Hey, when you get the hang of this place, it will be easy peasy." She nodded. "Huh? Oh! I'm Indigo. Pleasure to meet you Naois. So, two days, huh? You must have started like right after I was here. Gods I like live here, ya know? I'm in here all the time, so you'll likely be seeing me here an unhealthy amount of time after school. I'd live here if I could."
She stood aside so she wouldn't be blocking his way if he was going to go to the back. "You into games?"

"I am sure. That is what people keep telling me." Naois answered with a more open smile. "It's really nice to meet you Indigo." As he stood, Naois took the time to break down the box he was holding into a less awkward shape to hold. "Well, it will be nice to get to know the regulars." He spoke agreeably.
"Games?" He repeated as he started towards the counter where the door to the back was. "I suppose when I was younger. I haven't played any sort of games in years though...I suppose I am not the best employee to hire here. Perhaps the boss just thought that since I did not game I wouldn't be so distracted or something?"

Indigo snorted and burst into giggles. "You think... that's why you're hired? Hardly. The old pervert that runs this place is ust trying to get more cute girl shoppers in here. He like totally just trying to get hot guys behind the counter." She blinked at that thought then shuddered. "I would feel so much better if he's hiring hot guys because he likes guys better. He's so creepy."

"Well of course. I mean. I have no credentials for this type of work. All of my references are scatters. I've never worked in a book store before, and never for a job longer then a week." He spoke as a faint red blush started to creep into his cheeks.
"O-oh..well then..." Naois forced a embarrassed smile to his face and ran his fingers through his hair. "I wouldn't say I'm totally hot...all the same though, -I- prefer it that he hires me to draw in cute girls. I mean, if it was the other way around just think about what my work day's would be like around here? Talk about creepy!"

Indigo burst into laughter. "Hey, you have to start somewhere when you work. I waitress at a cafe on sundays. Totally not my cup of tea, but ya know, work is work and all that jazz. She gave him a playful slap to the back, acting now as if they'd been buddies for years, and not having met all of 5 minutes ago.
"Dude, you're a total stud. Like at least level 50 in hotness, and a charisma bonus +5. If you were into games like this, you could bag yourself a mass hot indie chick or gamer girl like THAT!" She punctuated her statement by snapping her fingers. "Ya know, even if he DID hire you to give himself something to oogle, I'd totally be in here like every couple of days and distract you." She gave him a thumbs up.

"Very true." Naois replied with a small laugh. "I am just used to working for the temp agency is all. I am not sure if I'll be staying here for good or not...maybe though. If I get to like the job. So far I think I like the people that come around." Naois' hair flopped a bit over his shoulder as Indigo would pat him on the back.
"Level..50?" He repeated as he stopped at the counter. Naois dropped the box behind it, then turned to look at Indigo while rubbing the back of his head uncertainly. "But...isn't that like...out of a hundred or something? So...isn't that kinda so-so?" Indigo's manner of speaking was rather amusing, and Naois could not stop smiling at her. "Well...That would be something to look forwards to. Maybe you can tell me more about these games and stuff."

Indigo smirked. "Hey, do you know how HARD it is to get to level 50? If you were like... level 99 you would blow me away! I'd be all 'oh no! I cannot look upon such beauty!'" She pretended to swoon backwards before righting herself and laughing. "Cause serious, it takes some skill and dedication to get to 50 most of the time." Her face brightened when he suggested she help him learn more about the games. "Sure thing! I mean, well, are you an online gamer? Or do you think tabletop games are better? Or do you play alone on your Game Station 4?"

"Clearly I do not." Naois laughed in amusement as Indigo feigned fainting before him. "It sounds like a lot of hard work though to get that far. I'm flattered." Or he was certain he was flattered. Smiling faintly at Indigo, he felt the smile quickly becoming tinged with a small amount of shame. "Oh..uhm...well..." He paused and slipped his hands into his back pockets. Naois cast a glance over his shoulder at the employee door, and after his moment of hesitation he replied. "I don't own a computer....and I don't have any game stations. 4 or otherwise. So..I guess..table top may be the only thing I can really learn about."
