Parasite leaned against the wall and tried to straighten out his hair. He hadn't been feeling right since he awoke, it was like someone or something was constantly watching him or some other mess like that. Every time he turned to face it the feeling disappeared or something else caught his attention elsewhere. It just didn't feel right to him. He mumbled to himself and ruffled at his hair irritated, maybe he should treat himself and Kale to a haircut that would certainly be a kindness to the both of them. He wandered away from the wall and started to wander again. It had been about a week since he left home and left the usual note.

The Agent Whyte watched as the figure walked away with a small frown. Was that a sign? The hair had gotten messier and that was often a signature that something was changing somewhere, then again the glasses hadn't reappeared yet. He reached up a hand and bit down on his thumb as he waited for the Target to wander far enough away to begin tailing him again. Whyte gazed over at his partner curiously for a long moment to see what their take on it was.

Sure Whyte was in charge of the whole operation or so the Boss said but that didn't mean he could take input.

"Shouldn't he have switched back by now?" He whispered once the Target was far enough away; it had been a week. They had been careful about that. A week was usually the limit, right? It had to be; something wasn't right. Either the Parasite was taking over for longer periods of time, or they misjudged the time from the week's start. Unlikely. They had been meticulous in their studying of this particular creature. It and the poor Family It had latched onto.

Agent Martin didn't like this; sure he had sedatives in his pocket, but that was only in extreme cases; they didn't want to face the creature, that was the whole point of mapping out the time frame, and catching him just before he returned to the Gear Family. "How long should we wait?" He murmured low, starting to quietly move once the target was the perfect distance away.

Parasite was on the move there was no question about it. Whyte nodded at Martin and began to move forward to tail the Target at a safe distance and all was going well so long as they were able to duck behind large objects or into alleyways each time the subject checked over his shoulder. It was a good system up until they had strayed too far from cover and too close to the Target.

The Target stared straight at the agent and frowned before he whipped his head around and began to sprint forward to attempt to flee them.

"s**t!" Whyte cursed as he began to give chase as he unsheathed the handheld tranquilizer gun from its holster.

Martin was putting himself more into the open to be able to get a better shot at their target. They were close enough now to have It in range of the tranquilizer guns...and he had been about to load the sedative into it when the creature turned around. With a startled gasp he fumbled and the first vial of the sedative dropped, smashing to the floor at his ********!" That one was useless now! Cursing, he loaded another one into the gun and took off running after the creature. The chase itself was a blur; objects were jumped over, corners turned, tumbles had, and luckily he didn't drop another container; they did only have five each, after all! Once His four shots were taken up, quite a deal of time had passed, and it had taken a toll on the Lab Worker's body. Breathing heavily and gasping for air, Martin slowed his run to a halt, leaning forward with his hands anchored to his ******** think we got 'im?" He breathed out, looking around despite his vision being a little blurry from the hard chase.

Whyte was much more cool and collected about it as he loaded his own gun, aimed, and shot. Whyte even ran and let off a couple of shots when his partner took off after the escaping figure. He was fairly certain that his hits hit the mark but he wouldn't doubt it if maybe a few of them fell out before the full dosage went into the Target. He slowed down next to his partner not willing to abandon him just to go after someone that was probably passing out in a nearby alley. "Yeah I think we got him," he assured with a cocky grin, "catch your breath and we'll pick him up."

Parasite did indeed not go far as he stumbled, tiredly, into the next alley he could find. During the haze Kale also awoke and he felt his heartbeat raise frantically and his mind filled with confusion over what had just happened. The last thing Parasite and Kale both thought of was Switch and home before their collective minds shut down and all was black.

A couple of sedative darts trailed into the alley where the Target finally felled.

"Thank god." Martin breathed out, finally catching his breath and moving to stand. "I'll let 'em know to bring the car~" He sighed, moving to dig around in his pockets with his free hand. Out of his pocket he pulled a cell phone, and from there proceeded to call their third person; the one waiting with the Car. It would be much less suspicious to take a vehicle than to just cart the passed out man around!

Once that was done and coordinates given, Martin started to carefully move towards where the creature's body lay; he knew the darts were potent and once down he would stay down...but there was still that fear. He'd read the notes. He knew what the thing was capable of.

"We...gotta get him to the street..." Martin didn't want to touch him. Maybe...they could roll him there? Like with their feet?

Whyte nodded and stared skyward taking a moment to calm the rushing of blood in his ears before he gazed back toward Martin when the arrangements were made. He followed along calmly and unlike his partner he seemed unafraid of whatever this thing could do. Had he seen the notes? Certainly. It wasn't going to get them just standing around and staring at it though. Instead he moved toward the head and grasped at the shoulders of the Target. "Help me get him up. We'll just wait outside of the alley. Anyone asks our friend here had too much to drink and we're waiting for our ride," he said simply as the logic was simple enough to work.

There was no way the Target would wake up any time soon.

"Got it! Drunken friend, easy enough." Still, Martin had his hesitations about touching him. Sure he knew it would be fine, and yes he was a scientist, but he wasn't wearing gloves, and who knew what kind of mutations could have happened without their knowing. Then again, this creature did manage to find himself a Mate of sorts and a family...so he really couldn't be that horrible to touch, right?

"Hey, What are the higher ups gonna go about that Lady, you think?" He asked curiously, finally getting the courage to lean over and to try and hoist the dead weight mostly onto his feet.

He took his half of the passed out Target and shifted about until he felt that the weight was equally distributed amongst them once they were straightened up. Whyte made a face at the mention of what the higher ups will do about the Lady, sometimes he disagreed with what management and this was probably would turn into one of those moments, "Probably tell her nothing and make it look like he walked off on her," he said blithely with a shrug.

Maybe he could write a note to her? Then again it wasn't like he knew what he was going to say. 'Sorry we abducted someone you grew to love; he's probably dead by the time you get this...'?

Yeah that'd go over well. Whyte shook the thoughts out of his head, "Once we get him to the labs it's out of our hands anyway," he sighed.

What Whyte said didn't sit well with Martin. He had no personal feelings towards the target; it was just a runaway pet to return, but that runaway pet found someone who loved him. It was fine for them to take the pet away, but he couldn't just let the woman sit and wonder. That was just mean.

"Well...no, not like that." Martin sighed, shuffling along with Whyte towards the meeting point; the car was already there, the door open and ready to receive the cargo, so to speak. Once the Target was safely packed away in the vehicle, Martin clapped his hands together as though brushing his hands free of involvement...when it came to the dark skinned subject, anyway.

"Maybe something like... 'He didn't leave you, we just took him back to where he belongs. We are sorry for your loss'?" He suggested with a shrug, scratching the back of his neck. "Just doesn't seem right, eh? I don't care if you don't...I'm gonna write her, leave it on the door or something." Martin was already turning to head back towards his home; it was in this neighbourhood, and he'd done his duty for the night. "More than welcome to join me, if you want."

Whyte naturally helped chuckling dryly at Martin as he responded and once they were done loading up the subject he backed away and crossed his arms over his chest as he listened to his partner talk. He reached up and scratched at his jaw before he suddenly moved to follow Martin, "Ahh hell if your a** gets caught in the sling I might as well join ya. Not that I think you intend to get caught," Whyte replied with small grin as he walked with his partner to where he lived. Might as well write the note together and then leave it together, since (secretly) he was planning to do the same thing. It'd save a lot of confusion and awkwardness.

"But that sounds alright, don't suppose the other kids in the family'd try to do anything?" He asked curiously. The boys, last Whyte checked, were quite a bit older (and ballsy). "The two older boys broke into the Aquarium one day, did you hear about that? I was tailing them the night happened - kinda..."

Sort of Whyte lost interest as soon as they went in the building. It seemed as if they'd be in there for a while.

Martin rolled his eyes.

"I'm not gonna get caught. Leaving a letter is a helluva lot easier than kidnapping a monster. Plus, we can send it through regular mail, dumbass." Huffing at the way he was laughed at, he allowed himself to be trailed by his boss. He was off the clock, officially! He had to ponder the question though, and while he pondered he played with some fluff in his pocket. His brows rose at the news. "No s**t, eh? That was them?" He seemed surprised, but he really shouldn't be; he'd been doing trailing of his own, but mostly through paperwork and reports that were being sent to the office about the family that housed their creation.

"I read in the latest reports that the Oldest has kids now, I don't think he'd do anything dangerous anymore...the youngest never liked 'Kale' so no threat there...the middle brother...mmaaaaybe? Probably not, I don't think he'd do anything on his own." He shrugged. "But...if they do, s'not like they know where to look. The Target's memories were wiped, they'd have no clue where to go and even then...the Lab's got way more security than an aquarium. I don't think we have anything to worry about."

Unaware of how wrong he was, Martin disappeared inside with Whyte.

"Yeahp. That was them. They were kinda careless and drunk or at least the gray one was. Some vendetta against something," he shrugged a bit as he didn't really care he lost interest after the evening went a bit quiet from there. Whatever.

Whyte looked thoughtful about Martin's observation as he followed along. He furrowed his brow and tilted his head a bit from side to side and shrugged his shoulders, "Yeah. Not like they'd figure it out any time soon unless we screw up big time somehow or they figure it out somehow," he said thoughtfully.

"You're right we got better things to worry about anyways," He chuckled a bit. He was already considering a vacation elsewhere far away...Just in case. Maybe he'd drag Martin along.
----------
Later that night they dropped off the note and left (very quickly) after a short knock at the door.

MYSTERY NOTE
To: Switch Gear and Family
From: 'Friends'

We regret to inform you that we at the laboratory have to reclaim our Test Subject whom you have named 'Kale'. We thank you for your cooperation and care of the subject and wish you and yours the best in your endeavors.

We apologize for any inconvenience and heartache this might cause everyone.

Signed,

W + M

Quint had been the first to hear the knock and wandered toward the door to open it and see who it was only to be met by empty space. As he was about to close the door he realized there was a note taped to it which made him raise an eyebrow before he moved to carefully remove the note and read it to himself and almost immediately his face went pale and his expression dropped.

Sure he hadn't had much to do with his guardian as of late but that didn't make the event any less horrifying to him as he tucked the note into his belt and moved back inside. Thankfully it didn't seem as if the knock had been loud enough to arouse the interest and curiosity of Switch who was still in the kitchen and so the gray-toned Teen quietly moved to sit in the living room and simply wait until Kay popped back into the house.

Hopefully his brother wouldn't be out long because he seriously didn't want to show Mom the note all by himself even with Tek there.

Kay had been out for a jog, as he often did. It cleared his head, it kept him active, and on the whole he just enjoyed it. What had started out as extra training to lift Faris ended up in a rather well loved hobby. He had seen people on the street, but he missed the pair dropping off the note - even if he did, he wouldn't have thought anything of it. People left adverts at the house often, why would this be any different?

He entered the home, and the first thing he saw was Quint, sitting in the living room. Now the last time he'd seen Quint in the living room, they had fought. Now, Quint plus living room equaled we need to talk.

"What?" He said right away, clear hesitance in his voice. He'd done nothing wrong lately. Probably. What did Quint want? ...Wait, why did he feel so guilty? That sense of forboding was almost painful.

Quint stared up at Kay and for once? It wasn't about Kay. He stood up and started to move toward the brother as he removed the letter from his belt. He quietly put a hand to his lips urging a bit of silence on his brother's part. He wasn't ready to have Switch know about this yet. They needed to break it to her ... Somewhat gently. Like hell he was going to let the Laboratory just take Kale away from her and the family (excluding Tek who would dance a jig).

Now that he was sure Kay had his attention he showed him the note with a serious expression on his face. He was confident that Switch wouldn't be out to see them for a while yet. He waited patiently for his brother to read the note and then react.

...So long as it was quietly.
