A simple building, much smaller and normal than the rest of the marble buildings that made Sanctum such a brilliant place, and sometimes hot or cold. The Weaponry, however, was a cubicle shaped building where its back seemed to curve and descend into the ground. It looked ordinary from the front, though.

Inside, and further in the building, was a barred fence separating the guest from the marketer. The marketer himself was often on the other side sitting, waiting like a statue for a customer. The front end was rather dark, the light being the illumination of maybe about five candles behind the salesperson, barely even revealing his face to show that the merchant was an young man who ranged in his mid-twenties.

The building was quiet, as was the marketer. Even upon entering he would not offer greeting, but wait until his customer was upon the other side of the fence. He would offer no question to what sells, and to who - that being the only condition he had given when he was asked to open a weapon's shop in Sanctum.

His stare was empty, lifeless and stoic. A perfect being who devoted his life in silence. If anything he would offer a few words.

Once Mitsuki was in the weapons shop she walked up to the counter with a straight face. She took out two daggers and a short sword, all three excellent quality and beautifully crafted. The man behind the fence didn't look too surprised, this wasn't Mitsuki's first time here. "How much? She asked.

The young man spoke, "I can give you a good amount of credits. Dwarven and Elven weapons are always in demand."

Mitsuki held out her arm with the bracelet, and the young man added to money. In a lower voice once Mitsuki had drawn her hand back she asked, "Whens the next match?"

The young man handed her a piece of paper, an entry form, and Mitsuki folded it and put it in a pocket. "Thanks." Was all she said before leaving.

"Finally!" I said to myself as I walked into the shop, I glanced around.
*kinda creepy...* I thought. I was pretty dim inside and I could only see the shopkeeper at the end.
He was pretty quiet and I waited for a bit to see if he would say anything or offer anything. After a few minutes I spoke up and asked, "... excuse me, you got any long and broad swords in stock? and by any chance do you tune guns?"
I wondered if the man heard me. He seemed to have barely even noticed me infront of me, so I decided to stare at him till he twitched.

Having been noted about the tournament the marketer waited patiently for the contenders, a piece of paper having been slipped through the opening of the fence that barred him on the other side. A pen also rolled side to side, obviously to be used to write one's name.

"..I didn't expect to see you here, Len." Ian spoke out from behind the trench-coated teen.

With a jolt Len jumped and slowly put down the pen he used to fill in for the registration. "..Ian.." Len droned. "..What are you doing here?" He asked, slowly moving to pass around the wavy-haired man.

"Same as you are, I suppose. Registering." Ian chuckled, gracefully taking hold of the pen and signing his name without even looking at the paper, his charismatic eyes boring psychotically into Len's left eye. "..Still hiding the eye of yours behind your hair? Is that why you always have your head down?"

Len shifted, blackmailed to lift his head only to let it droop a little more. Through even his hair Len could see the hidden aura that Ian suppressed, his energy making his usually crimson vision turn almost black. "Why are you here, Ian?" Len asked again.

Ian grinned, dropped the pen and slowly walked towards Len. The marketer than had already begun to take shelter in the underground passage that led to the arena.

Ski huffed lightly with a smirk upon her lips. "Not all my spells harm me Nate...you're under the wrong assumption. Just the most powerful ones to...because I don't have full control, or it's just a consequence of using them."

It was nothing major, and Ski only used those spells as a last resort. Just like the fight with the demon spider. She had little other options, and the quickest escape was the Tempest Rein spell.

"You worry too much Nate...fainting is not for me, even with the amount of stress that could be involved," the thief stated as they stepped up to the door and pushed it open. "I managed to stay conscious last night and I can take a lot more..."

The half-demon trailed off as she looked up at Nate to find him pale and wide eyed. He looked like had seen a ghost or just something generally horrific. Ski hadn't seen him like that before, but neither had she known him long. Still, she didn't like that look on his face; it was unsettling.

"Nate?" she murmured. "Something wrong..."

Turning her head, Ski found what he was staring at. Two men...both in trenches, but one with his head bowed, the other with his head held arrogantly high. It didn't take much for her to notice the tension in the air; could smell it, nearly taste it on her tongue. She wasn't sure was going on, didn't really care. But for some reason it got a reaction out of Nate and made her skin crawl. The one advancing on the other...he gave off a feeling she didn't like. So much so, that Ski let out a low hissing snarl.

His heart was beating more than it should have and he didn't fully understand why it was doing that. Ian slowly turned to gaze at him, and at Ski. Even if he couldn't read his thoughts he that grin of his said more than Nate would have known.

"Nate!" The man exclaimed with open arms as he began to step forward, but stopped short before reaching the man and friend. "How have you been?"

Nate, speechless and unable to properly talk stammered. Sweat rolled down his temple, and little by little his fear was growing. Ian made no comment but continued to look at him with dark eyes of his, emotionless despite his current behavior.

"Not very lively to see an old friend are you, Nate" Ian frowned, but smiled again when he looked at Ski. "And..who might you be? I have never seen you before." He tilted his head and gestured her to tone down her behavior. "There's no need for hostilities. Please, you will scare me."

"Ian." Len spoke up from the back, stepping forward. "I think they just came to register. That is why you here..right?" Len asked, truly curious as he looked both at Ski and Nate.

This guy...the more he talked the more he moved...the more he looked at her, Ski grew to dislike him more. She certainly didn't like how seeing this 'Ian' character caused Nate to act like this.

Fangs barred she answered the stranger behind Ian. "Yea we're here to register," she droned, her eyes never leaving the dark eyed human.

In the shadow of her hood, Ski's onyx eyes narrowed further. She wasn't fazed by those emotionless dark eyes, she had seen worse things then that. "As for scaring you, I don't really care. You smell weird and set my teeth on edge, not to mention causing my instincts to run rapid. Too bad for you, hostility is all your going to get."

She didn't like him; smelling of corruption and death. Two scents Ski had learned that when mixed together didn't mean a good thing. But what really bothered her was how Nate was still so quiet and his fear making her want to sneeze.

"Nate," she hissed out grabbing his elbow and giving it a firm series of shakes. Trying to bring the teacher back to this world from where ever he was at right then. "Snap out of it!"

"You see, Ian.." Len began to speak, but with a lift of Ian's hand was silenced. Obviously, for some reason, Len felt some fear for Ian. As did Nate, but his fear was different.

What was Ian doing here?..

Ian had never once looked away from Ski's tone and comment, only smiled more and her temper fueled his amusement. "You.." He gestured, waving a finger up and down at her, "I like you." He chuckled and then turned to Len. "She says what's right in her mind. But it's only natural.." He grinned and turned to her. "For a B, possibly A or S rank demon. She smells.." Ian leaned close and smelled the air, then breathed it out lovingly. "..Such a breed."

Nate, still stunned continued to stare even after being shook so violently. But alas, Ski's final demand reached him and he sparked back to life with a silent "Oh!" He turned to face Ski, and blinked. That's right. They were in the weaponry..Ski was going to register. But..Ian..did he?

With slight worry he practically begged, "You sure you want to register?" One quick glance at Ian told him that the wave haired man was further amused.

"Why wouldn't she?" Ian asked, and Nate just lowered his head. He felt like a frightened child but he knew of Ian's loss and what he had done. He may not know what it had done but Dark had told him to always stray from Ian...and Ian, with Nate's own human senses, felt unnaturally cold. As long as he continued to look at Ian it felt like his entire soul and spirit was being pulled away from sheer fear, and by being so close. His body trembled, and once again he was looking at the ground.

It was difficult for him to breathe now.

Underneath her hand that tightened on Nate's elbow, she felt him tremble. The fear that his human body was feeling, Ski did not feel it. But rather her sense were doing something similar, course the thief let it fuel her determination and anger at this strange and unsettling man called Ian.

Ian's gesture to her...it was a degrading gesture. But what was worse then that, was the fact that he knew. Knew without her saying a word and knew without letting her hood down that she was of demon decent. Even guessing at her rank, which she really didn't know for sure. It angered Ski as well as made her nervous and startled.

It took Nate's question to rouse her from her low growling and thoughts. Glancing up at him quickly, catching his nervous glance to Ian; she caught the hint. However that wasn't stopping Ski. Since her cover was blown, she might as well lower her hood. And with slow but sure gestures, Ski pulled down her gray hood. Revealing her curling horns and onyx eyes; freeing her teal colored hair from her cloak with a jingle of her earrings on her long elven ears.

A firm determined glare was on her face, as she bared her fangs. "I'm not about to let someone like you keep me from registering; you don't scare me."

Raising a hand, she pointed at Ian and in an instant unsheathed her black nail into that of a claw. "How the hell did you know that I was of demon decent; half-demon to be exact here. Humans shouldn't have that keen of senses."

The skepticism could be heard in Ski's voice. And in the same moment, gave Nate's arm an unconscious reassuring squeeze of the arm; gentle yet firm.

"I hope you registered as well though, I'll enjoy beating you into the dirt,"
she said with a smirked.

Ski's comment only made Nate's lips turn a further frown, but lifted Ian's to a greather smile. What Nate felt, Ian felt the opposite of.

Even with bared fangs gleaming at him Ian kept himself amused, his smile the same and his eyes dead but bright. Nate's lungs felt constricted, and though it wasn't at all hot he was sweating out of panic and fear. His first instinct then was to blast rounds (4 shots at max) towards Ian but he knew the futility. Nate wasn't powerful, and just by being around Ski, Ian and Len he felt inferior.

"I'm glad that I don't scare you." Ian commended, turning to look at Nate mentally saying that he should follow in example. "That's why I love demons. Strong and proud." He added, turning back to Ski as she demanded more answers.

"You're new to Sanctum, aren't you? I'm sorry I didn't get your name. As you might already know I'm 'Ian'. And this here is Len." He gestured to the seemingly blood-stained red head behind him. "You should already know that things in Sanctum are not what they seem. And that people," He hissed, widening his eyes to the poitn where his pupils shrunk and shook, "aren't as they appear to be either! What they would do for themselves, despite what the outcome might be for others." He giggled, slowly stepping forward.

Nate wanted to move back, but with's Ski's assuring grip he was inspired to stay. He wasn't sure if she knew how tightly she was holding him, and though it didn't hurt him he felt her aggravation. But that was more than enough to allow him to stay.

The further she threatened Ian though, the more nervous Nate got. But she didn't know of Ian, and he wasn't sure if she would understand.

"But yes, I have also registered and I'm looking forward to a battle with you. I do hope tha tit'll be one of the last.." He smiled, casually walking towards them. "May I ask that you step out of my way, however? You are in my way and Irather not have you think rude of me as I push my way through and have you do something incredibly stupid." He mocked, though his grin was never ending.User Image

Strong and proud... that she was but Ski was also stubborn and independent. Two factors she herself was very proud of. Meaning no one would get the best of her and if they tried, she would know it, many have tried and failed. She had only fallen for tricks when she was a child.

As Ian went to describe Sanctum, she wasn't surprised at his words. They were similar to Nate's after all. Telling her that the city wasn't like the others she had known and nothing was at it seemed. Ian didn't know though, that she saw him just as that; as something not what it seemed. But aside from him Ski was already learning the city was different, but one can't change their thoughts and life styles over one day.

"The name's Ski..." she stated at last. As Ian stepped forward, she could feel Nate step back. His reaction was one she wouldn't mind doing, but Ski held her ground. "...and you don't have to tell me twice that this city is different, and that's in more ways then one."

As for stepping back, somewhere in her, it felt like Ski was backing down if she stepped aside. Ian's words implying that he had the means of making her regret a stupid move. Ski wasn't stupid though and neither would he be the one to make her regret a move of any kind. So still holding on to Nate's arm, the thief slowly slid her booted feet back, allowing the strange and unsettling human by.

"We'll just have to see at the tournament won't we," she droned with a smirk back, onyx eyes narrowed.

"That we shall." Ian smiled as he walked both past Ski and Nate. Nate almost immediately moved away, but stayed next to Ski. Not for protection but because he didn't think that they should be separated.

As Ian passed him Nate's fear grew, and that spiritual pull only grew greater. Why was he so scared? So..cold. And yet.. Nate thought as he turned to Ski. Doesn't she feel it?.. It didn't seem like she did. Neither did Len. The redhead was troubled but it didn't look like he felt the pressure that he was feeling. Maybe..it was just him.

"I do bid the two of you..adieu. Have a good day." And with that Ian left the weaponry and into the city with a boastful 'All of you have a good day!'.

"...He does have a few screws loose.." Len admitted from the back.

"A few..." she droned after Ian had left. "I think his whole head ain't screwed on right...that guy gives me the creeps."

With that, Ski slipped her hand from Nate's arm, stepping toward the desk and the sheet there with a pen. Looking at it she found that Ian's name was written across it's surface. Ski wasn't about to let the reaction to a man like that scare her from signing it.

Looking back and Nate now, she saw just how much fear he was feeling. It was all written across his face. Where she would have snapped at him and tell him to suck it up like she had, Ski didn't.

"Nate..." she said aloud in a softer tone. "You alright? Come on, let's sign this and we'll be out of here."

Len answered in a soft chuckle towards Ski's comment, but he said nothing more as he lowered his head to hide his demonic eye with his hair as the half-breed past him.

Even as Ski let his arm go Nate remained frozen, but the pressure was beginning to dissipate, for what he was glad for. His fingers were coming to life as he flexed them a little, and he was able to lift his eyes to remember that he was at the weaponry.

Hearing Ski's voice he turned impulsively, his eyes still wide as one hand reached for one of the blasters at his hip. "Oh..y-yeah..b-but I'm not signing." he chuckled nervously. "I've never once..entered a tournament. I'm..not a fighter. I would only lose..to be honest." He smiled, shaking off the fading feeling as he walked towards her and Len, who was moving the opposite way to leave the tavern. But he was grateful that Len didn't give that feeling Ian had.

"Say, you hungry?"
