Quoted from the Legends of the Tale thread where this meeting began. Buffynick Buffy walked in, followed by her troop. Bowen was running after Galador, which was busy trying to get his sheep to mate. Atleast Illyria was helping the poor dragon, she had a book in hand. "Sheep Herding for Dummies" Eragon was the only one not doing anything. Seeing some of his friends, he walked over to them. "Hey guys!" Then he saw the boy behind DS. He blinked. He'd never seen this strange boy. "Hi kiddo, never seen you before. What's your name?"DivineSaturn Hearing someone else enter, he whirled around. "Me? Who wants ta know?"
Buffynick Eragon blinked. That was rude. Narrowing his eyes to mer slits, he growled. Growled? Where'd that come from? he thought. Must be spending to much time with Bowen. He shook his head. Offering a hand to the strange boy, he continued. "My name's Eragon. I'm a jedi padawan. Who might you be?" DivineSaturn "...Oh." Eriol looked up sheepishly. "Sorry, guess I'm not used ta this place yet." Dusting his sweater free of cookie crumbs, he extended his own hand. "I'm Eriol. And what's a... jay-die? Is it a story?"
Buffynick Eragon laughed. "A Je-di. We are like a group of people with special powers." he said, as he lifted his hand and drew a cookie crumb from Eriol's shirt, levitating it in the air infront of them. "I'm going to school now to train to master these powers. I think it's pretty neat!" DivineSaturn Eriol stared at the cookie crumb, eyes wide. "Wow... couldja do that to a person? Who teaches ya? How could I learn? That's a really neat trick!"

Eragon laughed. Allowing the crumb to fall into his palm, he ate it. "Actually, we can do that to people, but I'm not skilled enough to even attempt it. Even moving that crumb cost me a lot of energy." he said with a sigh.
Looking back to make sure he wasn't going to sit on anything, he ploped onto the ground. "Not everyone can learn to become a jedi. Something to do with peoples blood and stuff, although I'm not entirely sure how it works."

Eriol looked at his hands with a sigh. "I guess that makes sense. After all, there's genes and stuff that makes people look like they do on'th outside, so I guess it's kinda like that on'th inside. Still, it's really neat." Shrugging, he looked up brightly. "So, where do you go to school? Can everyone there do that?"

Eragon nodded. "Yup, everyone that goes to that school is there to learn how to do that and more." He grinned. "My schools here on Gaia, just a few miles south of here. Buffy and I had been wandering in town when we found the library for the first time."

"Wow... I've never even heard of it. But then, ya could say I haven't been many places yet." But he had been at enough to know that this boy was interesting. "Hey... where d'you like to go? Besides your school, anyway. I'm tryin to find some fun places to play, ya know?"

With a grin, Eragon continued. "Actually there are a few places I hang out that are pretty cool. There's the tala meadow, where I get to play with my big brother Draco, you'll love to meet him. Then there's the Beta Aquarium where I work with Buffy on our days off. Lots of weird people in there, but the fish are real cool!! Illyria loves to play with them all." Eragon frowned.
"Have you met my sister, Illyria? She is like you!" he said, poking Eriol in the chest softly. "She came out of a page a while back, she likes to follow me around. I don't mind in the least. You should meet her later."

"I think I've been t'the Tala meadow before. Not that I remember it much. Remus took me there by accident. Fish sound neat though! D'they have lots of different kinds? And what about sharks, that'd be neat!" Eragon seemed to know lots of fun places around Gaia, and Eriol could barely contain his excitement.
"Wait... a sister?" He frowned. "I didn't know ya had a sister... but I prob'ly wouldn't like her. Girls are weird, ya know?"

Eragon laughed at Eriol's last statement. "Your telling me!! I live with 2 of the weirdest girls EVER! Buffy and Illyria are like tomboys, they never put on makeup, never put on dresses, never to anything girly!!! And I have to live with them!" He put up his hands in defeat. Sighing, he lay back on the ground.
"Girls... can't live with them, can't beat them up for fear of death, can't exist without them. Especially the cute ones, they always get to you... them and their seductive traits..." he shuddered. "Anyway, back to fishes!"
He sat up and smiled at Eriol. "Buffy's shop doesn't have sharks, just Betas, Clownfish, and Seahorses. We used to only sell Betas but after the 'Nemo' incident, Buffy just HAD to get clownfish." he said with a face. "Sea horses just appeared one day in the shop, poof! like that!"

Finally, someone who understood! "I know, I know! Even just today, Mom's been takin me everywhere, showin me off like I was some kinda trophy. And then she goes and leaves me in this weird place with another girl while she goes off't get cookies. And later, she says we're goin shopping? Jeesh..." Rubbing his head anxiously, he smiled. "Still, she makes good cookies, so she can't be all that bad. But right, the fish! They sound cool! Are Betas a kind o'fish? What'd they look like? And the sea horses sound cool... mom mentioned somethin about people too, living underwater..."

Patting the boy on the back, Eragon laughed. "That's why I leave Buffy alone and wander through the streets. You should ask DS if you can tag along with me some times. It would be fun! We could check out those 'forbidden shops' or go to that zoo with all the odd creatures from different planets!! But I warn you, Buffy doesn't let me go anywhere without taking Illyria, and pretty soon Bowen will start tagging along too." He sighed, rubbing his temples.
"They are great...at times. Illyria likes to believe she's one of us, but she can't resist cuddly things like all girls! Thank the lord Bowen's still a baby and can't tag along with us! He gets into trouble easily." he frowned.
"Oh, and Betas are a type of fish. They are so cool because they are fighter fish, so they love to fight amongst themselves. Really cool to watch! But sad at the same time since they are really fighting," he said with a sad expression.

"Wow, I'd like that!" Breaking away from his mom and not having to spend another afternoon in some strange playroom slash bakery sounded too good to be true. "But how come Buffy makes you take Ill... Illy... how come she makes you take Illy along? I'd think they'd probably like doing girl stuff together... And who's Bowen?"

"Illy? Girl stuff? HA!" Eragon laughed. "The only thing I ever see Illy do that's remotly girlish is comb her hair! Man, never touch that hair, or your in for major trouble! She doesn't let anyone even feel it, let alone actually hold a bunch of it in their hands. Bowen got to her hair once... Poor Illy had to cut off a chunk, tangled mess..."
"Bowen's my youngest brother. He's got a REALLY cool dragon!! He got it yesterday! You definetly need to meet him! His name's Galador, and he can talk!" said Eragon excitedly.

Eriol wasn't convinced. "Still, she's a girl. And Buffy is too, so I'd think they'd be off doin stuff together, rather'n Buffy makin you take Illy everywhere." Girls. Never can tell what's in their heads...
"A brother? Sounds a lot neater'n a sister anyway. And a dragon?" That pulled his attention from girls completely. "Wow... a real one? Not just one o' those stuffed animeals, but really real?"

"Yup! A real dragon! Although, he's a lot smaller than what I would have imagined. He's around thiiiiss talllll" Eragon extended his right arm and got on his tippy toes. "Roughly the size of a horse. But I think he'll get bigger when my little bro get's bigger. They seem connected somehow... like magicly or something."
He brought his arm down and rubbed it. "Last I saw of him, Illy was helping him try and get a sheep herd to mate and make lots babies so he could eat, seeing that he didn't want us to spend our money buying him food."

"Wow... I'd like to see em sometime. I've seen dragons in books, but never a real live one. Your brother sounds cool, if he's got a dragon an' all..."
The mention of sheep was confusing. "Sheep mating? That sounds really weird. And if Illy's helping, must be even weirder. Though it sounds like something a girl would want to do." Still, the idea of having an endless food supply was pretty good. For a girl, that is.
"Eriol? Eragon?" A voice called out from another room. "I'm making a fresh batch of cookies. Would you two like some?"
