Ship's Log
Archives
Day 1,
Pg 6: Preparing for the next departure, the pirates of Tortuga made fast to stock their ships with rope, rum, and other provisions. Unwisely charged with loading the rum,
Weasel-chan sneaked off to find extra crates. An English flag waving above the doors, he entered a storehouse farther up the coast, upon which Norrington caught him pillaging and promptly arrested him, sentencing
Pintel to the gallows for piracy against the East India Trading Mafia.
On a dinghy headed toward the main ship,
Tonberry Crunch hesitated over the sea churning violently underneath her. She made to signal to the rest of the crew, but in splash, tentacles shot up and surrounded her. Screaming, she was dragged to the deep into the ocean with the Kraken. In mute shock, the everyone mourned the loss of their Pirate King,
Elizabeth Swann.
Day 2,
Pg 11: In the face of yesterday’s tragedies, the band of pirates decided to seek out
Tia Dalma to discover the enemies among them. As a select party canoed up the forested river, they anxiously discerned eyes staring at them from every direction, eerily lit by candles floating alongside the boat and flickering in the hands of the island people. When they finally reached her shack, they were alarmed to find it crumbling into ashes. On the steps leading up lay a warrant still burning slowly. It read, “By Order of the East India Trading Mafia, we hereby seize
In The Kitchen for conspiracy with pirates and thus treason to the Crown.” Miles away, a heart locked away in a chest thumped erratically, knowing its demise to be quite near....
Racing back to the main ship, the pirates argued over who turned Tia Dalma in. With mob mentality, the crew turned on
Totagomi as the traitor. “Nay, it be not me!” he yelled for naught as the crowd rushed to tie him up and throw him overboard. And of course it was bad luck that they did not listen to him, for as he drowned,
Gibb’s empty flask rose to the surface.
Disheartened by the double loss, the crestfallen pirates took a moment to rethink all of their actions. They did not see
Bari-chan cast a rope off the other side of the deck and slid down to a waiting boat. As he prepared to untie the ropes, the last thing he ever heard was, “So it seems you shall never remember this as the day you were caught by Captain Jack Sparrow.” The entire crew was drawn to the scene by a gun shot, where they saw Jack climbing back up the rope, leaving
Commodore Norrington to drift away quietly.
Day 3,
Pg 18: With just enough pirates to crew the shift, the Tortugans made to head out to open waters, only to discover their sails torn and ropes sliced. Hollering for answers, the crew accounted for themselves, and it was clear
Dizzy-Dixie-Dawn was nowhere in sight. Scurrying below decks they found
Maccus the Hammerhead destroying the ship, as was Jones’ orders. A flurry of swords swiftly ended the threat.
As the pirates started to clean up the mess, Sparrow pulled
Lady Psycho Sexy above deck to have words about recent developments. LPS defended herself, careful not to turn her back on him, only to be slashed through by Lord Cutler Beckett himself. Sword retracting from the body,
Ragetti dropped to the floor, his wooden eyeball rolling away.
In a cry of alarm, Jack called the few remaining crew to fight off the impending ambush. Metal blades clashed between the two parties, but they were only to be joined by Davy Jones, on a rampage to take down whomever he had time for. In a final struggle,
Jones and
Sparrow squared off, and with his dying breath,
Owwin dealt
CeroKelvin a fatal blow.
For a few seconds battle cesased. With the Flying Dutchman Mafia eradicated, the Tortugan pirates heaved a hearty yo ho, at least knowing that Will would be able to save 1 more person from death.
Day 4,
Pg 25: In a triangle, Beckett, William, and Barbossa stared intently at each other. There were no secrets left between them, all actions, all motives, all treachery accounted for. “But perhaps,” began Beckett, interrupting the quiet appraisals, “there is one more accord to honor.” And with that, Will and Beckett plunged their swords into
Barbossa, leaving
l-Kathulu-l silent forever more.
Stepping back, the two confronted each other. "Our bargain?" prompted Will, to which Beckett replied. "Nothing personal. It's just good business."
Day 5,
Pg 27: William and Beckett gazed steadily at each other. Slowly, Will reached into his coat and withdrew a netted pouch of dice. “What say you to a game of Liar’s Dice? The wager shall be the freedom of the oceans, that all may go about their business, legal or not,” challenged Will.
“Interesting. It seems to me that I could simply eliminate you, cut out the middle man and all,” threatened Beckett.
“Fine. Survival shall be the highest stake, then. If you roll and win the round, I will personally hand over the chest of the Flying Dutchman. My beating heart, the last real threat to your empire,” conceded Will.
“Agreed.”
The two players took their seats on some nearby crates. Slamming cups to the tables, they called out their initial rolls, and re-evaluating, adjusted their responses. Lifting the cups, Hobo Scruffy smirked, “Liar.” With a final gunshot to
Cutler Beckett's forehead, the New World was free from Sweet
Amber Lynne and the East India Trading Mafia.
William Turner and the Tortugans had won at last.
