Quietly, a small female walks alone in the Fox Fields, a light breeze running through her beautiful feather fur. She glances around, but doesn't seem overly nervous or concerned about anything... yet. She sits for a moment, stretching one of her feathery wings to preen, humming softly to herself as she does. It seems Vantrel is in quite a good mood on this warm day.

It was kind of odd tonight, to be honest. Daemetia had grown bored of her little dusty charges, seeing as they just sort of..well, sat there. It turns out that dusts weren't that interesting until they took on some sort of form with legs. It was a bit cooler than normal - well, much cooler. So cool, in fact, that the fireflies had ducked back down into the grass, waiting for a warmer night to resume their frolicking. Daemetia, unlike the fireflies, never stopped her play. Even now, with the light breeze in the grass and the coolness in the air, she continued to leap high above the grass, testing her legs. She'd never done that before! Back when the fireflies were out, she'd always jump and snap at them, but she'd never noticed just how high she could jump.
She leaped around, excited and uncaring about those who may be watching, not even paying attention to the eerie scent of company that came drifting on the breeze. She was quite absorbed in her game at the moment, and it would take a stranger's force to knock her out of it.

Spotting the other female, Vantrel watches for a moment, amused. Well, she had been told to get a social life before, though she assured the advice-giver that society would soon learn to hate him for giving her such advice. With a wicked smirk, she swaggers over to the little halfbreed, eyeing her purple feather fur, swishing her tail.
Coming to a stop just a few feet from where Daemetia is playing, she calls over softly, "Such folly. One would expect dignity from such a elegant little dustling such as you." She is obviously teasing, but not in a cruel way. She seems more playful than scolding.

Wait woah - who was that? She paused, tail bushed out. She'd not even noticed the approach of the stranger. "Is dignity...fun?" She faintly remembered her human using the word 'dignity', but it was something thats she would never have.
Daemetia scanned her for a moment. She wasn't like the other stranger that had come by before. This one had wings. Pretty wings. Touchy-feely as she was, the half-breed immediately crawled up to her, nosing the soft feathers. Ooooh. She fluttered her own pairs of wings, though they were too small for her to fly with. "I've never seen such big wings before.

Vantrel chuckles, replying in that soft, silky voice of hers, "Unfortunately, dignity is not always fun, my dear. Simply a false appearance of calm that some feel the need to put on. Some of us simply use it to gain the trust of those we wish to control." A grin spreads across the strange female's beak as she says this.
Vantrel holds still as Daremetia noses her wings, then spreads them out so she may show them off. "You like them, yes?" She purrs, tilting her head to one side slightly. Fortunately for the other female, Vantrel was in one of her calm moods this evening.

Daemetia 'ooooh'ed audibly as Vantrel spread her wings, nearly forgetting what the stranger had said. "But...why be calm? It's not all that fun, and what is more important than that?" She stretched her feathered wings out, but they were relatively pitiful. She tucked them back against her, slightly cowed. Such a pretty color, the tangerine-on-black. Maybe the little dragons hiding in their dust would be as pretty as her. She was smitten with the idea.
Regardless, she faintly remembered something. "Did you say your name? I'm Daemetia." She backed away from the angelic wings, thrashing her tail about energetically. She had to get all that excitement out somehow! Maybe they could play later, or watch constellations or she could show Vantrel her home!

Vantrel chuckles again, cooing, "It is most important to enjoy life, yes. Life is too short to worry yourself to death, eh?" She winks to the little Daemetia, giving her tail a swish.
"I am Vantrel, my dear," She replies, padding a little closer to the halfbreed, so graceful that she seems to simply float above the ground. "And it is a pleasure to meet you." Noticing Daemetia's excitement, Vantrel decides that perhaps a little wrestle match or something might be in order. Heaven knows she was too busy running, hiding and hunting pitiful creatures as a child - no time for playing.
Giving a slight yip, Vantrel playfully nips at the other female and pounces, though is careful not to hurt Daemetia.

Playtime now? Daemetia was surprisingly unexpecting, and she topped under the angel with ease. Giggling she scratched at the other female's belly, careful not to do much more than tickle. Her tail was twitching about even faster now, batting gently against the other dust's flank. This was odd. She was usually the one on top in these situations! It was nice to have someone else to play with who actually...well, played.

Vantrel barks, yips and yelps as she is tickled, seeming to 'bounce' off of Daemetia. Hopping in a half circle around the halfbreed, top half on the ground and her backside up in the air, the winged dust wags her tail happily.
"Bet you can't catch me!" Vantrel says suddenly, just before turning and bounding away, though she watches over her her shoulder to make sure Daemetia is chasing her.

"I bet I can!" A big grin was plastered on the half-breed's face as she took off after the other female, claws digging into the thick grass of the fox fields as she ran. She was kinda thankful that Vantrel was a girl, since girl dusts seemed to be a bit more ticklish. That was just in the two dusts she'd met, though, too. The cool air did her well as she raced after the angel, snapping her beak out at the tip of her tail though she was still out of range. "I'm gonna get you!"

Vantrel chuckles, calling back, "Not if I get you first!" At that, the winged spins around and stands on her hind legs, wings stretched out, her front legs ready to catch Daemetia!
Of course, doing this will probably result in both females tumbling to the ground. XD

WAIT! She put on the breaks as fast as she could, digging her talons into the ground, but to no avail. She tumbled into the other female, giggling all the while as gravity and inertia set them rolling.

Vantrel lets out a laugh as she rolls across the field with Daementia, the world around her doing cart wheels!
She lands on her back, the half-breed on top of her as she grins up, her eyes sparkling. "I've never had such fun before," The winged chirps, wagging her tail. "The release is wonderful."

Finally Daemetia's giggles turned into full-blown laughter as they finally settled into the grass. She was back on top again, a rather interesting turn of events. "Never had this much fun? What've you been doing all this time?" Though she looked young, Vantrel didn't look that young. "Wait, hold on a second." Quickly she nipped a blade of grass out of the angel's feather-fur.
"Now," she squirmed a bit, excited at the prospect of this game, "Why should I let you go?"

Vantrel joins the other female in her laughter, wrapping her wings around Daemetia. She smiles at the other's question, replying, "I was born wild, my darling. I was too busy hunting and hiding to have fun, sadly."
With a chuckle, Vantrel nuzzles the half-breed, cooing, "Who says I want to be let go?" She winks up at the other female, her eyes glittery with excitement.
((Oh, Vantrel's a Winged Dust, not Angelic. wink I havea hard time telling the difference, myself. XD))
