 Hitoru trotted lightly along the forest path. It was another warm day and the jungle was starting ti get humid, its shade and sun blocking leaves no longer doing what they were rightfully there for. He stopped for a moment and sat down.
"Man... its so hot today..." he flicked his tail in annoyance. Even since his meeting with Kina he had been interested in learning more about a tribe. Kina had told him about her tribe but he wasn't quite sure he was ready to join yet.
Man... it really was hot. Who's idea was it to go trudging through a jungle on a hot day? Oh right... that was him.

 The jungle was very different from his home up north next to the the great river. The fertile black soil had turned into desert for many miles and the unrelenting sun was rapidly being soaked in by his rather black pelt. It was a good thing he had spied the jungle up ahead. Perhaps a chance to find a small bit of water and some shade. Slowly traversing into the dense canopy he looked around and stifled a rather large yawn.
"hmm now what tree do I want to rest under?" horus asked. He had only seen this many trees before when he had met his little friend the permakit but that was many months back and next to an ocean. This was most definitely a different kind of forest.

After resting for a few he stood again. He would have rather just lay down there and take a nap but with this hot weather it would have just been irritating. So he figured if he could find a river of a lake that would be the best area to rest at. With the lake or river it would bound to be cooler over there. His stomach growled. Also he could catch some fish. he smiled at the thought.
"Mmm... fish here I come."
he smiled as he continued on his way hopping that maybe he would run into another fox. It was rather boring and slightly nerve wrecking being alone.

Horus paused and shook his head. he could have sworn he had just heard something. Of course after a few seconds of restfulness he had decided it wasn't a cat so there was no reason curiosity would kill him. He had been alone for a while now and was looking for company.
With his mind made up Horus maneuvered himself to his feet intent on finding the source of the sound. He had sworn the noise had said something about fish and with fish the fox would head towards the river, right? Well in that case hopefully if Horus moved where he knew the great river was located he could run into the other fox. 'hmph thats even if the fox is from around here.' Horus shook his head clearing the negative thoughts.
Luckily his determination paid off and he spotted something yellow and black through the dense foliage... it wasnt a wild cat and seemed to be his height. Well there was only one way to find out. "Hello...?"

As Hitoru made his way through the brush he stopped. His ears twitched as he heard a distinct voice. It was defiantly male and came from somewhere behind him. He closed his eyes as his tail fell which had once been wagging happily. He was hopping that it wasn't the other fox he had run into a couple days ago. That fox was not a pleasant being.
"Mm..." He slowly turned sideways to look behind him. "H... Hello?" He looked around but couldn't see anyone. Though his eyes told him no one was there his nose and ears told him otherwise.

Horus frowned as the creature didn't seem to see him. He guessed the shadows from the dense foliage where probably causing the green and black in his pelt to blend in with the surroundings. "Ah yes sorry for startling you" Horus said. After all he had identified the new comer as a modifox it was only natural to step out where the male could see him. "Believe me that wasnt my intentions."

Hitoru watched as an interesting modifox stepped out. He smiled as he sighed in relief.
"Oh thank goodness... For a moment I thought you were someone else." He smiled and his ears and tail were soon back where they were when he was happy. "Oh no worries. I thought you were this other fox I came across. I mean you accidentally steal someones food and the next thing you know your being chased..." He looked away with a comical pout. "I even said I was sorry..."

"yes that does tend to happen. Some foxes are rather territorial when it comes to their food. Personally I believe if a person is hungry enough to go after your food you should do the nice thing and share with them" Horus laughed. "No I am just Horus. I mean no harm. I just heard your voice and I haven't seen any one in a while so I thought I would come say Hi."

"Yeah I know right? I hadn't eaton in a wile... and I even asked him nicely if he would share..." He then smiled as he took a step toward him. "Horus... Thats a cool name. My name is Hitoru." His tail wagged. "Thats weird. I was just thinking along the lines of the same thing. I've been traveling by myself for a wile. Its nice to see another fox and a friendly one at that."

"well come find me next time. I'll most definitely share" Horus laughed. "Ah yes my parents gave it to me right before they disappeared. It means high above. Ah really, I guess that means all great minds really do think alike" Horus laughed again. "Yes, i had stayed back a bit when I first called out to you because I didnt know if you where going to be friendly. I guess we both lucked out. You said something about looking for fish?"

He smiled. "You got your self a deal." He chuckled along with him. He was quite happy to know this fox was as nice as him. he lucked out to meet someone as cool looking as him as well. "Yea we did. Thats also the reason why i hesitated to turn around." he chuckled again. Now that he though about it being paranoid probably made him look funny. "Fish? Yeah... I was headed to look for a lake or river. I was getting hungry... did you want to come with me?"

Horus smiled glad he was able to meet such a nice fox. After he had left the two kits he had met back at the ocean; Jaci and Persephone he had ended back up in his homeland only to find it seemingly deserted. he was afraid he was getting a little stir crazy. "Ah yes. I would be most delighted."

"Great." his tail wagged happily. "You have no idea how glad I am to be talking to another fox." He began walking. "I was pretty sure I heard the sound of a river over this way." He glanced back over his shoulder at him. He was an interesting fox he had to give him that. He had never seen anyone with a coat like his.

Horus laughed a little as he followed the yellow and black fox. He guessed the reason he was being stared at was his coat, after all not everyone had such weird patterns. "Yes it is a rather different pattern isnt it?" Horus said still amused in his tone.

Hitoru smiled. It was a rather different pattern but was an interesting one at that. He was lucky... his coat was nothing like his own. Hitoru thought about his own coat and the way it looked. It was nothing like this guys...
"It is... but its allot better then my own or others i've seen..." He sighed as he looked down. "I bet you get the attention of all kinds of girls..."
