Dark Tournament style FTW
Basic coliseum setup, a round arena raised off of the ground made of solid Adamantium, which spans a good hundred meters in diameter. Surrounding said indestructible platform is open ground, starting with simple grass and expanding to the surrounding trees until reaching, at near a half mile distance, upward climbing sheer cliffs.
Rules are as follows;
- First off, the rules that are already posted in the main sub forum.
- Any character who touches the ground outside of the ring for more then a ten second count, or equivalent three posts (real loose on the ten count ain't it?), will be disqualified from the match. This is literal Dark Tournament style fighting. So, be aware of where you're at, judges have the right to say your character was out of bounds for to long.
- Have fun, don't godmod, not complaining and leave me the heck alone until your match is finished.

"Let's hope I can end this one quickly", were the exact words that left Kanda's mouth as he took his first steps onto the strangely constructed battle disk. With arms crossed in front of his chest, the former Captain leisurely strolled around the grassy plane, making sure to take in every minute detail about his surroundings. For a moment, he paused where he stood and stared directly at his feet for a few seconds before slamming the base of his foot on what appeared to be only grass. As a large thud broke forth, it seemed that Kanda's suspicions were true and he not only stood on sod, but metal as well. With a short snicker, the renowned shinigami occupied a seat on the ground, crossed his legs, and closed his eyes in an attempt to meditate before the match.
In his mind, Kanda began to hear a voice quite familiar inquire, "Why are you so shaken up? I've never seen you like this before," the voice continued, "Does it have to do with what happened when you were exi-". At that very moment, Kanda cut the speaker off and interjected, "Don't talk about that, there's no reason to speak of what happened. That was when I was a Captain, this is now. Both are completely separate issues." Letting out a deep sigh, the internal voice proceeded, "Well, I hope you at least ate well before this battle. Remember to always be aware of your surroundings. Don't give away all of your tricks at first. Oh and make sure to monitor your enemy's reiatsu at all times." In a very calm manner, Kanda responded, "I understand...Thank you, Father...For everything", before blocking out all distractions in order to focus. As his meditation continued, the effects of the alcohol started to wear off and his senses began to sharpen. The only thing left to do was wait for his opponent.

The good doctor stumbled his way towards the arena while scratching at his chin. He was wondering what kind of foe would be sent his way first and whether or not he'd even bother putting up a worthy fight or not. They just don't seem to breed em like they used to... he kept thinking to himself. He shrugged his shoulders and cracked his neck as he strode closer and closer to the battlefield. He noticed a boy sitting on the ground waiting for him and he checked his pocket watch as he approached the kid. "I'm not late am I? I wouldn't want to keep you from any busywork you may be missing out on." he said with a menacing grin smeared all over his face. He had no intention of letting this child ruin what was left of his good name, nor did he plan on letting this fight get more out of hand then he was already planning it to be.
He offered his hand to the kid in hopes that he would at least show some humility before the bloodshed started. "What the hell are you doing? He's your enemy! Strike him down now before he has the chance of hurting you you stupid b*****d!" Junko called to him as he rolled his eyes. It seemed that she was more concerned about his well being then he was, which, wasn't all to shocking to him now. She had always been one to show compassion and worry where he had thrown that part of him away many many years ago. He ignored her words and gave the kid a look while awaiting his response.

Match goes to Ken-chan, Kanda did not indicate a reason for not being able to post and has failed to post within five days.
