I was thinking, that maybe we could have an adoption center! But not a chibi type obviously.
I was thinking two ideas.
1) We just use normal cartoon characters, and let people adopt them.
2) We get artists or artsy people to draw imaginary friends, make a 'description' of who created them, why, and the friend's personality, and then people can adopt those (: Obviously, people could steal the art, but what if in giant letters over the art there was the word 'Preview' going corner to corner, or something of the sort? Obviously, I got this idea from the contest we had but hey, it works, doesn't it?
I want opinions! Which do you like better - the first idea? The second? Or do you think having an adoption center would be just flat out stupid? Post or vote (:

I say, we get teams for different cartoons.
You know, like team Ed, Edd n Eddy, Johnny Bravo etc etc.
Edit: Then you can have contest for the team, artist can make flags. You can do a tektek contest that can make the best cosplay for the team. All those kind of things.

i think the second idea is great! heart people would really like to adopt an imaginary friend, in my opinion. whee plus the artists could have a lot more freedom with their art, which is always a good thing.

The only thing I would wonder is if there's a purpose for the imaginary friends besides just saying that we have them (since we're already doing the team event thing).
Its an awesome idea, and I'm totally on board with it - but it would be more interesting if there was a purpose besides just adopting them...though I'd have no idea what that would be (besides art contests...)

Why don't you just do both?
You know, give artists the opportunity to create their own works for people to adopt but also have original cartoon characters also up for adoption?
But yeah Keihi is right in that it could be good to have another reason for it other than simple cause you can.

I guess this could work, it's just been done so many times before. I think there could be drama over who gets what cartoon and stolen art/copyrighted art. Either of those choices is dangerous. Good artists are hard to come by on Gaia and using the cartoon's actual art could result in some nasty copyright issues. I'd personally advise that we try something else a little more...unique.
