Daisy the Leafeon Gijinka roamed the festival's grounds. There were so many scents and smells at the festival. The smell of greasy festival food, hay, petting zoo animals, vomit, and sweat. There were so many sounds as well. The sound of chattering people as they drifted passed her, the sizzling of batter as it deep fries random items for their customers, the creaking of festival rides, the sound of applause as a band plays on stage, in front of hundreds of people. Daisy thought the festival was alright. She mostly came for the rides, the vendors, and the music that played. Not for the greasy, disgusting foods sold here. She was a vegetarian and there was nothing for her to eat that was healthy. Daisy didn't come for the other features of the festival. Just rides, music, and the stands that sold interesting items. The leafeon gijinka had just arrived at the festival, so she hadn't gone to the vendors, or have ridden any of the rides. However, she was coming upon a large stage with a rock band rocking out. She heard the crowd cheering. She smiled and slipped through the sea of people, weaving through the waves. She managed to get to the side of the stage, Since there was very little room for her to squeeze through the crowd. So she stood on the side, watching the performers from a different angle. She smiled. They were quite good.

Today was different than usual, but not too different. The local band that Silas was a part of got into gigs often enough that it wasn't unusual, so the fact that they were going to play at a festival of some sort today wasn't completely unexpected. He never really kept track of festivals and the like, so he was a little surprised that one was already here. Was it that time of the year already? Time seemed to go by in a blur to him most of the time. He always did the same things, study, play his guitar, get into a fight on occasion, and all of the other essentials that came with being human. Everything was the same routine, which both annoyed and yet didn't bother him at the same time. His life used to be full of excitement, unsure of what would happen that day or night, unsure if he'd be walking home with a scar or blood stains on him. Now it was different, now he knew what he was doing every day, and only now was he starting to realize how boring that could be.

Most of the day went by fast enough, and their band went on at 5pm sharp, just as the sun was starting to set. It was almost fitting, in some symbolic way. A setting sun, his small revelations, it was almost like the sky knew him inside and out. Oddly enough, this only annoyed him. It didn't matter if it was people or burned out stars in the sky, he didn't want to be known so intimately like that again. He squinted a little as the band moved out on stage, a borrowed guitar in hand. It was a little hard to see with the sun setting like it was, but he didn't mind, he didn't care to see the crowd's faces anyway.

The band played for a good half hour, at least. It turned out that they had to fill in for another band that didn't show up, so they ended up playing more of their songs than was scheduled. Silas could handle it just fine. The guitar that was in his hands now wasn't the one that he always used, his greatest treasure. That guitar was too valuable to bring along with him wherever he went, so he left it at home whenever the band was playing together or performing. He only used that blue guitar when he was alone, it was almost like a lover's devotion, and jealousy. He played it daily, but would show it to very few people, that treasure of his.

His fingers easily found the notes he was looking for as their last song was coming to a close. He was standing on the side of the stage, far off enough to still be seen, but that it was obvious he wasn't particularly close to the people he was playing with. The crowd was cheering, it was a pleasant, loud sound that he welcomed, and their song finally ended, the last note hanging with the pressure of his finger. The Vaporeon didn't stay long after the song was over, and soon just gradually wandered off the stage and out the back. He enjoyed the cheers, but it wasn't something he would just stand there for ten minutes and soak up, looking like an idiot. It also wasn't much of a surprise that he was greeted by a group of men as soon as he stepped out the back entrance of the set up stage. By now, he was used to this, far more than most people would care to be.

"We saw you play, and just loved your performance," chimed one, sarcasm drenching his sentence. There were only about four of them, three if you didn't count the cowardly looking one in the back. Silas wasn't amused, or phased, he merely stared them down with a dull look, as he usually did.
"...Let's get this over with, I don't want to waste all my time on you," he sighed a little to himself, repositioning himself. He was wearing a black t-shirt today, but that was the only difference in his usual ensemble. He still wore his usual black jeans, black boots, and black, spiked collar. It's just that the weather was warmer than usual, and being on stage only made it hotter, so a loose, black t-shirt sounded more appealing when he got dressed for it.

The men smirked and commented to themselves, taking a moment to take their stance. Five seconds later, both parties ran towards one another, fists raised, aimed for someone's face.

Daisy the Leafeon Gijinka watched the performance of the band. She watched as a navy-blue haired male with turquoise streaks in his hair, strummed the notes of his guitar perfectly. Not a single fault or flaw as he played. He was amazing. Daisy liked most genres of music. Even rock. But she didn't appear to be one who liked the punkish and loud genre of music. Daisy watched as the band on stage finished their last song. She waited till the bands was silent to applause. She clapped with the audience, her clap mixing with the others. She heard the hoots, hollers, and whistles, cheering the great band. She smiled wide. While the bandmates exited the stage, she watched them jog down the few steps to the back stage. Daisy felt the urge to compliment them and meet them. She thought they were quite talented. The leafeon approached the metal barracade that blocked people from entering backstage. Then, she watched a group of tough men that brushed passed her. She stood still as they slipped to the backstage and approach the band. Before she knew it, they were starting a fist fight.

Daisy's green eyes widened. She felt her feet carry her backstage, as she felt the urge to stop the fight from beginning. Before she knew it, she was between two men, the guitarist and a large, masculine male. Daisy's arms were extended, keeping the guitarist and the other male from fighting. She stared at them, her jade green eyes turning into a light brown. "Please...boys...there is no need to f--" The leafeon was interrupted when the masculine man she was in front of swung his fist at her, his knuckles hitting her below her left eye. Daisy's head flung back, after getting hit. Her hair whipped as she flung her head. Pain throbbed on her face. Her arms became limp and she placed her hands over where the man hit her.

"Ow," she whimpered as a few tears slipped out of her eyes. She heard the friends of the man who punched her whisper to him, asking why he hit a girl. Her brown eyes looked up at him, seeing him shocked that he hit her. Daisy would punch him back, but the sight in her left eye went all a blur. She whimpered as she stood there, feeling the spot where she was attacked turning a blueish purple shade.

Silas had gotten a few punches in and a few punches received, and was about to put in another until a blur of blond and green came into his vision. He stopped his fist immediately, but really, it was only because the other man stopped as well. When it came to fighting, he learned that feeling pity in the middle of a brawl wasn't wise for his own safety. If the man he was fighting with hadn't stopped, he probably would've just shoved the blond...girl? Was it a girl? Well, whatever it was, it wouldn't have been in his way for long. The Vaporeon was somewhat short compared to most other guys, the ones he was fighting in particular, but he could hold his own in a fight. While his body didn't emphasize on brute strength, it made up for that lack of strength with speed. He was fast in both attacking, rebound, and running, and when all else failed, he could make a pretty hasty escape if necessary, not that he liked to run away from a fight.

He was a little surprised after the man threw a punch at the blond and green being that stood between them. Upon a closer examination, that 'blond and green being' was a Leafeon gijinka, a girl to top it off. Silas didn't pity her for getting hit, she must've known what she was running into when she literally ran into their fight not a few moments ago. What he did feel, though, was a feeling he hadn't felt in a while. This fight was his, and now it was interrupted, but what really annoyed him was that the man he was fighting gave that punch to someone else. It wasn't that he respected the man, but this was a fight between them, not one between the man and the girl. The Vaporeon, oddly, felt completely overlooked, and in a fight, that only bruised his ego.

This man, this group, they really weren't worth his trouble were they. The others before them, they were probably the same. Silas grit his teeth a bit, frustrated, before grabbing the hand of the Leafeon girl and running off towards the sea of people who came to enjoy the festival. He lost whatever interest he had, that fight wasn't even worth the time he was going to give it.

Daisy felt quite stupid after running between a brawl. She should've expected getting hit. But taking the punch for this vaporeon gijinka may have been painful, but at least he didn't get hurt. After a few moments of realizing how stupid she felt, she then felt someone grab her hand. Her brown eyes looked up to the blue haired male, feeling him pull her away from the others. But before she was pulled away, she smacked the male who punched her, her back hand pulling back and slapping him across his face. Before she knew it, she was pulled into the crowds. What on earth was he doing? She did not know him. And why was he pulling her? Daisy was then dragged behind him, being pulled into the sea of people enjoying the festivities. Her skin beneath her left eye was slightly puprle after taking the punch. And her eye, well, her vision was a bit blurry. The leafeon watched as the two raced through the crowd of humans. In the corner of her right eye, she could see the men who were getting into a fist fight with this male. Aggression and fury in their faces that glared at the two. The male she slapped had a red handprint across his face, from when she slapped him.

Daisy tripped over her own feet, after being dragged by this attractive guitarist. She didn't know what was happening. Everything was going too fast. "W-what are you doing?" she asked him, her voice trying to be audible through the many sounds of the festival.

The Vaporeon continued to run and weave through the crowds, dragging the confused Leafeon behind him. He glanced behind the two of them, confirming his suspicions as his eyes met the group's leader that he was fighting with not too long ago. The men would probably pursue them, out of having their false pride wounded, and Silas wasn't about to wait around for them to try and attack again. He didn't want to, anyway, he'd lost interest. So, he continued to run, trying to at least get a safe distance away, enough to hide somewhere, lose their trail. It wouldn't be too hard to do in a sea of people, especially since the two Eevelutions didn't really stand out aside from some 'minor' noticeable features in their appearances. His mind was almost working like how it used to, analytical and chaotic. Everything was a rush, yet made almost complete since, enough for him to act how he thought would be best in the situation.

Silas finally spotted a short and dark alleyway between a few of the festival stands, pulling the Leafeon in behind him and pressing their backs against a wall, freeing her hand only to hold his in front of her mouth. It wasn't touching, but it was obvious that he wanted her to keep quiet for the moment.
"Shhh...," he said quietly, raising his other hand to his face before moving it forward in front of hers and pointing straight ahead for her to hopefully understand what he was doing. The men from earlier ran past their current hiding spot not too long after he did, and if she made a noise or obvious movement as they did, they would've been found.

He waited for them to pass before he let his body relax a little against the wall, resting his thumbs inside the edge of his pants' pockets.
"...why did you interrupt," he finally said, eyes glancing over at his temporary company. It wasn't exactly a question, more of a demand. He wanted to know why she stopped the two of them, though, the answer was probably something he should have expected.

Daisy watched as the eeveelution pair rushed through the crowd, weaving through people to shake off the men that were just behind them. Hoping for them to lose them. Daisy then was pulled into a short, but dark alley way, that was between a gyro stand and a funnel cake stand. It was tight, but could fit the two of them. She pressed her back into a wall, stepping a little away from the vaporeon to give the pair some space.

That is...unti her space was invaded when he leaned a little toward her, holding his hand over her mouth. A signal for her to hush. He wasn't touching her, but he was invading her space bubble. She obeyed to his signal, keeping quiet. The leafeon the watched him point and she nodded. She followed him and watched the men pass their first hiding spot, then walking away, anger in their eyes. THey were determined to find the two. As the four left, Daisy turned to her temporary companion. He looked relaxed as he leaned back against the wall. She looked up at him, her brown eyes turning into a jade green, meaning she was content. Then, he asked her a question. It sounded demanding yet calm. She sighed, sinking her shoulders as she leaned back against the opposite wall. Her eyes sparkling as they looked up at him in a glassy way. "I'm sorry. I just hate watching people fight. Or get hurt. Besides...he looked huge. I don't like watching people get hurt," she told him, sweetness and innocence in her voice. Her head lowered. She only wanted there to be no violence.

His eye twitched a little, almost in an animated fashion, as she mentioned how large the man he had been fighting was. Did she doubt him because of his size? The thought only proved to annoy him, his height and small frame was something he was well aware of, and tried to use to his advantage after he got over it. Well, the Leafeon hadn't met him before, so she didn't know how capable he could be, which was how he reasoned it, anyway. He let the comment slide, as she continued, listening. Losing his short temper here and now of all places would just make the situation worse, which would only be more bothersome for him. He sighed a little inwardly, forcing himself to resign to the insinuation that he was assuming had been in her words.

The Vaporeon's eyes shot over again as she finished speaking, trying not to assume what she meant. Silas, once, could understand how she felt, almost. His situation was a bit more complicated in that the person he didn't want to see hurt was a fighter, so naturally, he got hurt all the time. Over those years, Silas just got used to it in the end, seeing others cause pain, seeing others in pain, himself being in pain, it was almost as normal as brushing one's teeth in the morning for him. Even now, he was still pretty used to it. He almost felt like the Leafeon and him were polar opposites. He didn't mind seeing others in pain, yet she seemed to oppose it quite strongly. Her point of view confused him, he couldn't wrap his mind around it. It was like putting a cat and dog in the same room, his view just conflicted with hers too much.

"Pain is unavoidable, be it physical or otherwise. You won't find anyone who hasn't hurt someone, it's what people do," he managed to reply, his voice slightly rigid. That was about the time it dawned on him. If the men after them were going to be looking for them, they couldn't stay in one place for long, and to top it off, did that mean he had to stay with her until they could leave the festival area...? His back went a little stiff, he wasn't quite sure he could handle that.

Daisy looked up at the Vaporeon. She could see anger in his eyes. It sorta frightened her, the look in his eyes. She uncomfortably shifted, her head low below her shoulders. She didn't know that he would be able to take down the large opponent of his. By his appearance, he didn't look like the fighting type. His small frame. He was a little taller than her, she'd give him that. But she was a bit short.

By what the male said, he did make a very good point. Pain is unavoidable. And people have hurt others or have been hurt themselves. The leafeon listened to his voice. It was a bit rigid, yet calm. He did do a good job in controlling his temper. She knew that in his eyes, she set a fuse for a temperamental bomb. Piecing the puzzle together, she figured out that he must be used to pain. On that topic, they seemed like opposites. She disliked watching people in pain and he seemed to be fine with it. Which meant she was more caring and concerned for others.

Daisy sighed softly. "You do make a good point. Pain can't be avoided," she agreed. Looking up at him, he wore a calm expression across her face. Her eyes shifted into a yellow shade, expressing her emotion of shyness and innocence. "I'm sorry," she said mindlessly. Honestly, she had no reason to apologize. Except for making him a little...upset. Daisy turned her head away, her golden locks flowing with her head. Her eyes glanced toward the direction of the festival and the people. Her yellow eyes searched for the faces of the men who were chasing them. Just to make sure they didn't find them. Finding it clear, she turned to the blue haired male. She wore a frown. She hated annoying people. It made her feel...unwanted.

Her yellow eyes glistened as she stared up at him. "I am sorry if I'm annoying you," she told him shyly, "I could leave if you want me to." Daisy, however, kinda was scared to be alone when the group of men were searching for them.

She had a look in her eyes then, one that he could relate to all too well, one of being unwanted somehow. It was odd feeling like he had some sort of common ground with someone so opposite of himself, and it was that common ground that was about to drag him out of his comfort zone. He'd probably regret this all later.
"There isn't much chance for either of us too leave yet, it's too soon for us to be able to make an escape out of here," he started, sighing a little to himself,"we'll have to stay in the festival until those idiots ego's die down and they leave." He wanted nothing more than to just go back home and play the guitar that was waiting for him in the corner of his mostly empty room, the one thing he opened up to no matter what had happened. Was it pathetic that a guitar was the closest thing he had to someone he cared for now days? For the most part, he stopped caring about that sort of thinking.

"Sticking together will be easier," he started again, glancing to the side, "so I guess we should try and just 'blend in with the crowd'." It was a little odd, but he found the excuse he was looking for to keep that look out of her eyes, that unwanting look. "As a repayment for your taking a hit for me," he said, motioning to the part of his face where her bruise from the punch was,"I'll help you out. It'd be less suspicious if we were wandering the festival together." With that, he moved back over to the exit that lead back out to the festival, glancing around a little. He was about to step out but he paused for a moment. "And...," he started, keeping his eyes straight ahead,"you apologize too much." Silas's voice was a little softer then, stepping back out into the brightly lit walking area. The Vaporeon wasn't good with softer moments like that, so that was basically his way of saying 'you don't need to keep apologizing when you didn't do anything wrong'.

Daisy sat there, feeling her bruise on her face ache and starting to darken. She hated those guys. Aftter giving her a bruise and making her cheek hurt. Then, the blue haired male began to speak once more. As he explained to her that it was too soon for them to leave, she nodded. The men were egoistic and quite aggressive. Daisy felt uncomfortable at that moment. Having to stick around with a guy that didn't seem to like her all that much. Daisy wanted to sit at home, on her bed, just strumming her guitar strings and meditate. She was feeling a tad stressed from the current events.

As he starting speaking once more, she listened. In his voice, he sounded like he didn't really want her around and felt forced to stick together with a girl like her. When the vaporeon motioned to her bruise on her face, mentioning it, the leafeon placed her hand over it. It must look hideous. It hurt too. Daisy listened to him, telling her he'd repay her for taking the hit for him by helping her out. Daisy nodded to him, the look in her eyes of unwantedness faded away, the yellow color turning into a green shade. Meaning she was content or neutral.

Her jade green eyes watched the blue eyed male approach the exit, then stopping. Not turning to her, he told her she apologizes too much. His voice soft. Then, he continued out. Daisy stood there. It sorta felt like an anime. Where the closed loner stops and tells the sweet and pretty girl something to make her heart sink. It was like that. Minus the heart sinking. Daisy moved quickly to the male's side. Her flowing white dress and her golden locks with a few green and brown streaks through her hair, flying behind her as she moved quickly to the Vaporeon's side. Her pace slowed as she reached him. The two continued to walk through the festival, passing many festival goers.

Daisy looked up at the male. She figured if they are going to stick around, she should know his name. However, he looked familiar. But she couldn't quite place her finger on where she had seen him before. "I'm Daisy, by the way," she told him, softness in her voice. She gave him a small smile, waiting for him to tell her his name.

Yup. He was definitely out of his comfort zone. Not only was he not at home right now, which is where he'd usually be after a gig, but he was wandering in the opposite direction with another person. It was almost like one of those surreal dreams where you wake up completely confused because you dreamed about something that you would never do, except he was actually doing it. He felt a little dizzy, aside from that, he wasn't really sure what to make of the situation. To make matters worse, he didn't know if their little 'cover' was actually working. He'd never wandered a festival before, let alone take a girl to one. The last time he'd even done this sort of thing was...was...
'Ah hell,' he thought to himself,'I've never done this before!' Silas was, least to say, completely out of his territory. The most he had ever done at a festival was play a guitar then head straight home.

The Vaporeon's parents were always arguing and moving when he was growing up, his childhood pretty much consisted of him being alone, either studying or drowning himself in music. He never really had any 'friends' or anything like that. He was trying to not let it show, but for once, he didn't know what to do, and that made him a little anxious. He just about pitied himself for how he was acting. If he was fully like how he used to be he'd just charge straight in and make it work, but now...he was a bit of at a loss.

His eyes were darting around, both out of being alert and even more confused. Should he stop at a stand? Should he get on a ride? Should he pretend to laugh and smile? His head just about overloaded trying to figure this sudden problem out. Somehow, he managed to keep almost all of it from his face, but jumped slightly when the Leafeon spoke again, his eyes quickly darting back to her.
"Uh-..Oh. Silas," he replied, mentally kicking himself. The Vaporeon had been taken off guard, not a good sign for him. His state of confusion was starting to overwhelm his logical side.

Daisy continued to walk. It had been ages since she had been out with a boy. Actually. She hadn't ever been with a boy yet. You would think that a girl like her would have a few boyfriends. But she didm't. Not even one. Daisy felt a little nervous that she was walking around a festival with a really cute guy. Usually, when at these sort of things, she would ride roller coasters, walk around, and then go home. But she would do them with her friends, which is quite few. But she didn't know if she would call them friends when she moved away from where her three friends were, back in Eterna City and the Eterna forest.

She was at a new place with new people. And no friends. Daisy didn't know what to do with him. He may not be interested in the same things. He might not want to go to any of the shopping stands, or any of the rides, or any of the games. Daisy then heard him reply to her, telling her his name. She smiled a little wider. It was friendly, warm, and sweet. "Silas..." she repeated, testing out his name with her lips, "I like your name. Its' unique." She giggled softly, staring up at him with her green eyes.

Her head turned as they continued to walk. Her dirty blond locks bounced on her shoulders, slowly sliding down to her chest. She wore her white, flowy, sleeveless dress with her brown gladiator sandals. Tangled in her hair are daisies. Their stems stuck in her hair. Daisy felt an awkard silence between them as they continued to wander the festival. She glanced at one of the roller coasters. She had been roaming the festival for twenty minutes and she hadn't even ridden on any of the rides. Daisy didn't know if he wanted to go on any, but she sure did. She'd might as well ask. Her head turned to him. "Do you want to ride on some rides?" she asked curiously, her green eyes sparkling.

Silas glanced back at the girl as she spoke again, his attention drawn from his surroundings. Her words overlapped with another's in his mind, one of his memories, and he found himself oddly...uncomfortable with it. Someone else had said those same words to him a long time ago, someone he once trusted, it was almost like this prickly feeling came over him when he recalled it. The emotion was strange to him, one that he couldn't really place, but combined with his nervousness, it was just unsettling him. The scar on his lower back was aching a bit as things he tried to forget found there way back to him. He couldn't keep it completely from his face, but managed to stave off most of it, as well as push the feeling back into whatever box it had come out of. The scar on his lower back hadn't felt that way in a few years up till now, it was a familiar yet very..'human' feeling.

He brushed it off as best he could, the Leafeon's next words accomplishing in finishing the task.
"R-rides?" The word was unfamiliar to him. He knew what it meant, what it was, and all that it represented, but he'd never used it for himself. It was kind of like he was suddenly speaking a foreign language, one almost completely unknown to him. Silas had never been on a festival or carnival ride. He'd seen them up close and from a distance, but he'd never been on one himself. The Vaporeon tried to answer, mentally kicking himself for his stutter earlier."I...suppose so?" He really wasn't sure how he'd fair on something like that, his eyes glancing over at some of the machines. They looked kind of like metal monsters, in their own way.
