General/Normal Rules
1. We ask that you not breed siblings or relatives in any way. Kitsusagi are very sensitive genetically and inbreeding will result in mild or severe birth defects (blindness, paralysis, etc.) 2. Kitsusagi must be adults (or officially frozen teens) before they can breed! 3. Kitsusagi cannot breed again until their offspring are fully grown. 4. Do NOT RP the actual act of breeding in the thread or guild... *shudders* If you MUST RP something like that, please don't even do so anywhere on Gaia, as this would break the ToS. 5. Breeding will result in 2-4 eggs. Each owner is only permitted to claim 1 egg for themselves. 6. If the breeder doesn't recognize your name [ie, you are not thread-active], they have the right to refuse your breeding request. 7. Do not complain, whine, flame the breeder, or otherwise cause drama about the result you receive from your breeding. Edits, races, and genders are determined at the time you obtain the breeding slot and are based on dice rolls. Same with the Adult Angelic lines. If you do not receive them, please do not cause drama about it. It is entirely up to chance. 8. --prices are being re-done soon. For now it is pay-what-you-want or whatever the colorist chooses--
What Can Breed With What - A Quick Guide! "Good" species (Angelics, Seraphs) cannot breed with "Evil" species (Nightmares, Tricks). Even though the kitsu itself might not have a "good" or "evil" personality, the forces that originally created these species were such polar opposites that their blood will never mix to create offspring between them.
Edited Breedings --prices are being re-done soon. For now it is pay-what-you-want or whatever the colorist chooses--
Anthros 1. Anthros can breed 2. Same sex breeding is allowed 3. Breeding will result in 2-6 eggs 4. When an Anthro breeds with a non-Anthro -- each kit will have a 20% chance to grow to Anthro stage 5. When an Anthro breeds with another Anthro -- each kit will have a 50% chance to grow to Anthro stage
Ex-Mountain Subspecies 1. Until there are official Realm lines that replace the old Mountain subspecies these are the breeding rules for them. 2. Follow the general breeding rules for their equivalents. 3. When a Kitsusagi that was once a Mountain-only species breeds, these are what they will produce as offspring. Species Equivalencies are as follows: Cherubs => Cupid Imps => Anti-Cupid Pixies => Fae Aquakitsu => Mer Bobtail & Corgi => Pom Butterfly => Until official templates are ready, Normals that might get edits Lop => Fauna Luck => Tenku
People who fail to acknowledge and follow these rules may be officially warned by a staff member and have privileges or customs / bribes / breedings revoked. They may even be greylisted / blacklisted. PLEASE read and follow the rules and don't let this happen to you!

Dice-roll System for Breedings
Determining Species
Common Species: Normal, Land Subspecies (Imperial, Uni, Snow, Corgi, Pom)
Uncommon Species: Celestials (Flarei, Eclipsei), Water subspecies (Mer), Winged Normal
Rare Species: Nightmare, Angelic
Super-Rare Species: Fae, Seraphim
Seasonal Species: Elkthorn,Trick, Frost,Slyph, and WilloWisp, -------------------------
In a breeding where the species is the same, they will produce offspring of their own species. So even though they are super-rare... Fae x Fae will always get more Fae, etc
Roll d-100 for each baby in a multi-species breeding...
Uncommon = 30% Rare = 20% Super Rare = 10%
Commons wouldn't need a percentage, really since the babies in a common x anything else breeding would default to common if the higher rarity is not rolled
Depending on what category species are in the breeding, you could take the percentage of the rarer species, assign the beginning of the dice to that and default the rest down to the less rare species!
EXAMPLES
Angelic x Normal 1-20 = Pure Angelic 21-50= Angelic Lines without Halo 50-100= Common (CC if upright pose or normal pose)
Angelic x Flarei .... all the babies are going to be either one or the other
1-20 = Angelic, because they are rare, so they get 20% Anything else rolled on the dice gets a Flarei!
After that, if they are edited, or the colorist is okay with making hybrid babies, they would roll on the edits scale.
If two Kitsu in the SAME rarity category breed (for example Normal x dragon), then each baby would simply have a 50-50 chance to be either species.
Seasonal Species Spring -- Slyph / March-May / produces Fae outside of season Summer -- WilloWisp / June-August / produces Normal outside of season Fall -- Elkthorn / September-November / produces uni/kirin outside of season Halloween -- Tricks / Nightmares / October only / produces Nightmare outside of season Winter -- Frost / December-February / produces Tundra outside of season
Seasonals will ONLY pop up in breedings during their time of the year, and would count as Super Rares for rolling purposes.
So if any kitsu breeds during a seasonal chance breeding in October, they have a 10% chance of a Trick baby and 10% chance for a Elkthorn. Normally a seasonal will only appear at adult stage - any other lineart may be used for other stages. (i.e. matching parent species etc)
If a Seasonal species breeds during their season, Wisps during June-Aug ect, they double their chance to 20%
example: wisp (in season) x tundra 1-20 seasonal -wisp 21-100 Tundra
-------------------------
Lucks and Tenku
Lucks/Tenku breeding with ANY other species should be rolled on this scale: d-100...
1-50 = common / 50% 51-80 = uncommon / 30% 81-90 = rare / 10% 91-95 = super-rare / 5% 95-100 = seasonal / 5%
IF a Luck x Luck/ Tenku x Tenku breeds: d-100...
1-20 = common / 20% 21-60 = uncommon / 40% 61-80 = rare / 20% 81-90 = super-rare / 10% 91-100 = seasonal / 10% -------------------------
Determining Gender
Gender of each baby is determined by a simple 50/50 roll. Each colorist can do this however they want.
EXAMPLE roll d-100, 1-50 = male, 51-100 = female
OR
roll d-6, odd = male, even = female
-------------------------
Determining Edits
The percentages listed are for each parent in the breeding. Each kit produced would need to be rolled separately for amount of edits.
Unedited -- 40% Minor -- 30% Moderate -- 15% Heavy -- 10% Extreme -- 5%
For breedings that add up to less than 100, bump the 'leftover' down to whatever the next lowest edit category or categories (for higher percentages) would be. Each colorist may choose to split down the leftover in their own way.
EXAMPLES!
Unedited x Heavy edited: (40% unedit, 10% heavy edit, 50% left over to split down) 1-40 = unedited 41-50 = heavy edit 51-80 = moderate edit (30%) 81-100 = minor edit (20%)
-------------------------
Heavy edit x heavy edit: (10% heavy edit x 2=20% heavy edit, 80% leftover to split down) 1-20 = heavy edit 21-60 = mod edit (40%) 61-95 = minor edit (35%) 96-100 = unedit (5%)
-------------------------
Minor edit x Extreme edit: (30% minor, 5% extreme, 65% leftover - which I'm going to split up a bit below; basically just doing math to make it all equal 100) 1-30 = minor edit 31-35 = extreme edit 36-45 = heavy edit (10%) 46-65 = mod edit (20%) 66-90 = minor edit (25%) 91-100 = unedit (10%)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Throwbacks... If an owner lists ancestors in their breeding form, AND the colorist wishes to use them, A d100 would need to be rolled and 1-10 would land you traits or edits from any ancestor.
The artist could roll another d100 and if they land again in the range of 1-10, the species of an ancestor could come thru. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are ever unsure of how the system works or you have questions, please contact Manda either through PM or the staff forum and she'll do her best to help you, as she came up with the system~
