Just like any other day, paavai was making her way through the Kawani village looking around and checking up on the two-leggers and their young ones to make sure everyone was okay, or if they needed her. She came across the one she was most fond of, an old man called 'Eelack.' He placed his hand on the front of her muzzle and stroked down a long her neck, then patted it down with a gentle palm.
"Only a month away and you'll be ready for someones stud. We'll have to make you look your best now, won't we girl?" He smiled, and fussed with her mane, combing his fingers through. As usual Pavie just smiled, and neighed happily in reply. Even if it was false happiness, she liked to show them she was happy.
After all the fussing was over with and he had left, obvious that her talents weren't needed just yet. She sighed, looking at the floor as she decided to take a long walk. She never strayed too far from the village but enough to be alone to think about things.
Two-leggers never understood, they were allowed to find love with each other. Even if she didn't understand that the marriages were mainly arranged between them too. A frown sealed her lips as she came to the river, lowering her head and arching her neck to drink from it's contents. She stared at her reflection. Ears falling back and she closed her eyes in the calm silence.

Pavie's ears raised in alert, her eyes opening and her head lifting, turning to pin the strangers approach, his hooves beating against the earth under her feet. She looked over him, observing his features. He wore the hat of those who raided their village several times in the past but she would never judge, based on that. Things change. Plus, he was handsome. She wouldn't deny him that.
She gave him a weak smile and nodded at his words. "Hello." She greeted, almost sounding revised in tone. "Thank you. You must have a good eye." She made her way closer to him so he didn't have to trail all the way over to her, her hair blowing in the breeze and her beaded decorations clattered against her neck and rear. She was surprised he could tell, she must of looked just that miserable.
As her bright blue orbs landed in line with his own eyes, beyond his hazel coloured bangs she paused and bowed her head through politeness. "Do you live near here?" She asked curiously, not having seen him before.
