I remember when you got a comment, it said 1 New Comment ( or something like that). It has really changed..

i remember when gaia didn't even notify you of comments unless you went out of your way to turn them on and half of the time they didn't work >.<

Gaia has gone through many strange phases, but OVERALL I think this one is the least awkward to work with. Yes, you don't know what the one new notice is until you click it- but it keeps everything more organized and if you log in after a productive night of people commenting and quoting you and whatnot, it's all in one place for you to see and handle at your leisure.
I've gotten used to it and like it the way it is presently, but I also remember not being notified at all so it can be worse ;D

I love how we can still see past notifications even after it is clicked.

I totally miss the Old Gaia...
Like, when Polls actually give you 10 gold each. Not like THIS Gaia, where after a few couple times using the Polls, the gold gain decreases to a mere 2g. >:

It fights inflation. Not by much, but it does.
That's why there's so many gold sinks now, too (LOLS DERNIER*CRI) and other random ways to waste gold.
