I like them both. But the graphics and effects in Madness Returns were awesome, it looked like you were watching a real movie or something 3nodding

Phantomess of Secrets I like them both. But the graphics and effects in Madness Returns were awesome, it looked like you were watching a real movie or something 3nodding Yeah, the graphics were seriously amazing, even for a newest-gen console title, and the plot-twist at the end was rather unexpected. And the dollmaker? Pretty good for a final boss. It's too bad there weren't any other boss-level fights aside from him, though. So, who's your favorite character?

And his voice is really cool too lolz ^.^ I know what you mean on both parts; the Hatter almost always seems like a very likable character for me, especially in the Syfy miniseries. He was a total badass. The Cheshire Cat's a personal favorite too, especially when Boris Airay's concerned. But while the Cheshire cat is cool in McGee's series, I've always liked the Carpenter from Madness Returns a bit more. I don't know why, maybe it's his personality, but he just seems like a (somewhat) sympathetic character.

Yeah the Carpenter was pretty cool. That cutscene though when the walrus started to eat those oyster dancers (I think they were oysters lolz) that was actually one scene tht kinda freaked me out. I have no clue why though haha. I did also like I think he was a turtle. The captain that was on the sunken ship. It led you into the underwater world

He looked pretty strange in the original game, though.

He looked younger and a intimidating in the original. In Madness Returns, he is more timid and "Cartoon-y"

It's rather like comparing JTHM to Invader Zim: both are made by the same person, but one is a bit more... pleasant, I guess you could say, though light-hearted and colorful would be a more accurate description.

I used to love Invader Zim! Gur is the best 4laugh But I've never actually read/seen JTHM to compare.
But with the first american mcgee Alice it was more a computer game, very controlled and what not while with A:MR it was more like an interactive movie I guess you can say by how everything moved and how the characters spoke

Not that I'm complaining, but it was very gory. But I definitely agree; A:MR was more of a movie than anything. In the best way possible, of course.

Definitely. I wonder if American Mcgee will make a third Alice game. Madness Returns did end with that "For now..." quote by the cheshire cat. So while he can end it there, there is enough implication for a third one
