She sat there under a bench on the outskirts of town, a half-filled bottle of water next to her. She closed her eyes under the shade of the trees, hands placed in her lap.
She had been here for a brief model shoot but that was ending as people folded up their cameras and tripods, waving farewell. Lumiere sat there with her gray dress, knowing that if she tried to head back to university now, she'd only make it for the ending of her class.
It was unfortunate, the timing of her schedules. As a model with only a few jobs, she understood that organizing her schedule accordingly to the job was required rather than the other way around. But knowing that disadvantage didn't make it any less of a hassle in organizing education and dream career. Her hand clutched a charm in her hand, one hand twirling a curly lock of blue hair between her fingers idly, purple eyes casted downwards.

Adrian...wasn't sure where he was going anymore. At one point he was headed to his dancing class, but somewhere along the way he'd gotten distracted. How or why was still up in the air, but it might have had something to do with a commotion that seemed to be happening on the outskirts of town. He didn't hear much, just something about a camera crew. By the time he got to the place, even with his most impressive and reckless blading ever, he only arrived in time to see the camera crew leave. No matter how fast and reckless he could go, he did have nearly an entire city to cross.
"Aww, damn." Adrian whined, scratching his hand through his unruly and obnoxiously orange hair. "Missed it." He said to himself with a pant, just coasting along the paved road on his roller blades. With a bit of a hum he turned to idly blade backwards...and that was when he spotted the blue haired girl on the bench. Blue eyes brightening, Adrian turned, arched his blading pattern and headed the way he came, skidding to a halt behind the bench.
"Hey there~" He greeted nonchalantly, leaning his arms on the back rest. The teenager stared down at her, his expression nothing but friendly. "Didja happen to see what was going on here? I kinda missed it."

Lumiere was using a wet napkin to wipe off the remainder of her make-up, eyes lowering towards the make-up mirror in a thorough examination of her face.
Something zipped by her as she packed away her cleaning solution, leaving her unfazed but curious as the breathless teenager ran past her. What was the commotion about? She hardly had a clue-- she decided to conclude her own business here until a sound attracted her attention once more. Purple eyes gazed into the distance for a moment when the young male made a u-turn towards her direction.
A small sigh escaped her lips before she looked up to the boy behind her with a slight frown, examining the male's messy appearance. She glanced down at his wheels rather warily and back up towards his friendly expression. "You could of had a rather unfortunate accident at the speed you were going. Quite the speed though-- I'm not sure if I'm impressed at your bravery or foolishness."
She didn't allow the male to make a return comment, answering his question within the next instant.
"It wasn't much. A simple shoot for a rather nameless model. I'm quite surprised you used your time coming out here." Lumiere answered with a tone of dismissal. To Lumiere, it was an event of little note or importance. She couldn't see why anybody would bother traveling the distance from the city to see such a meaningless event. Or at least, meaningless to Lumiere. She tucked some stray blue strands behind her ear, struggling to restrain a unintentional yawn.

Adrian's blue eyes widened a bit with a small grin as she questioned him, his mouth opening to respond...but getting cut off instead. Mouth closing, he leaned heavily on the back of the bench, trying to catch his breath as silently as possible as to not interrupt her. He did take a good look at her while he waited for her to finish; the pretty blue hair, her purple eyes, that disinterested stare. Very nice to look at, even if the tone was a little...off? Mean, almost.
"Shoot, as in Photoshoot?" Perking up a bit, he jut out his bottom jaw and twisted his lips to the side, thinking on the subject. With a heavy sigh his expression dropped back to normal, and once more he ruffled his fingers through his hair, at least being careful enough to not knock the goggles off of his crown. "That IS boring. I agree, woulda been a waste of time." Adrian chuckled, apparently playing along with her obvious distain for the entire event. With a hum, he straighted up and skated idly around the bench, plunking himself quite uninvited into the seat right next to her. "But I guess that's okay."
"Hum." Puffing out his cheeks for a moment, he rolled one foot back and forth as though fidgeting. Then, a sudden thought came to him. "Hey, do you dance? Like, Swing Dance?"

"Swing dance?" She shook her head, finally turning her delicate expression towards her uninvited guest. "I'm afraid to say that to my regret, swing dancing wasn't something I considered. I can only offer ball-room dancing or ballet." She answered with a moment's pause, purple eyes now focused on the stranger. She tucked another strand of hair behind her ear, tipping her head towards the male with a slight interest.
Why would a stranger ask such a question? She blinked blankly, fingers curled against her cheek with a rare awkwardness, thrown off by the question.
It didn't seem to occur to her that she should introduce herself, introductions being one of the last things on her mind. "Did.. you have an event in mind?" She had the smallest hint of hesitancy in her tone although it was mostly disguised by the polite skepticism.

She...didn't swing dance? Ugh. He'd tried ballroom and only glanced at ballet, but geez those didn't look fun at all! His head tilted away from her, observing her though a lidded gaze. She looked like she could use some fun! Too much of an indoor girl, from the likes of it. Lightly hopping back to his feet, he awkwardly turned around to face her, holding his hand down to her. Sure they were complete strangers, but that was half the fun!
"I was just on my way to a class, wanna join me? It'll be fun!" He urged, staring down at her with wide and eager, obnoxiously blue eyes. There was a lopsided little grin on his lips, making him look like an overly excited child that was about to visit a candy store. There was a little bit of a falter in his expression, as something else hit him. "Oh, unless you're busy or something, but otherwise...It will be fun!"

"I'm not busy." She shook her head, her day empty of any other jobs or shoots. "I do find myself with spare time on my hands. If it'll help expand my experience.." She took his hand tentatively, her small pale hand placed in his large one. She concluded that there would be an advantage to this situation. At worst, she would only face embarrassment after all.
"Your nonexistent caution with strangers.. I wonder if that could be considered as a virtue or a flaw?" Lumiere commented but the comment was accompanied with the smallest of smiles. On one hand, if she had been intending harm-- but on the other hand, it was a kind gesture to a stranger. SIncerely kind. One didn't run into that often in the industry-- it was more of a calculation on eahc part, wondering if the other could be useful or not.

The moment her small hand was placed in his, Adrian closed his rough fingers around it, trapping her unless she really, truly changed her mind. With a bit of a tug on her hand he tried to urge her to her feet. Her words gained a laugh from him, shaking his head.
"You're a pretty confused person, ain'tcha?" He chuckled out. "First ya didn't know if I was being brave or stupid, and now you can't decide if I'm flawed or just a really, really nice guy." Of course, that wasn't what she had said - but he can't be faulted for tooting his own horn, could he? "Well, you can figure it out on your own, I'm just happy yer startin' to smile." His free hand lifted, his index finger drawing a lazy circle in the air, pointing at her mouth.
"I think, I'ma try to make that smile of yours bigger." Adrian decided with a nod, lightly swinging the hand in his from side to side. "Now, do you wanna walk, or do you wanna see if I can still skate like that with extra weight?"

"I'm not confused. I'm simply undecided on the matter." Lumiere shook her head, standing to her feet. Making her smile? .. What an odd task that this male had given to himself. An unnecessary task. If he wanted her to smile, he could have just said so.
She could have smiled upon request.
Skate.. with her along? Well. That wasn't ladylike. Not to mention, his safety would be more at risk than her's. After all, he was the one with wheels. "I'll walk beside you. Shall we go?" She tipped her head forward, giving one last glance toward his wheels. She had a lot more strength than her skinny body originally let on. After all, a model's first requirement was the stamina it took to stand and pose for hours on end.

"Anything I can do to help you decide?" Adrian chattered on easily, unaware of her status as a model. Even if he had known, he wouldn't have let her go with smiling on request; those weren't real smiles. When she decided how she wanted to get there, he had to admit that he was a little disappointed; it would have been fun to try and carry her!
"Aww, if you insist I guess." He huffed, puffing some air up to his bangs. Skating slowly wasn't something he wanted to do; it was like being given a cake and told not to eat it. Granted it was no where near the same level, but it made sense to him. Why have a toy if you can't play with it? Or good food if you can't eat it? Sighing heavily, he paused for a moment, kneeling down and unclasping his rollerblades, standing up to hoist them over his shoulder, holding onto the strings.
"Oh! I'm Adrian. What's your name?" He introduced hiself, shifting his skate strings from his right to left hand, to extend the right one out to her in greeting.

"I'm Lumiere." She held out her hand automatically, by instinct, returning his greeting, flicking of her long blue hair to the side, spilling over her shoulders and meeting Adrian's eyes with large amethyst ones.
".. Adrian, You seem to be quite versed in the skill of rollerblading. Coming from across town is a slightly impressive feat accomplished in such a short time." She remarked, glancing up at the rollerblades he slung behind his back. It was interesting, how such a item could hold such endurance over long trips of constant gravel, rock and other rough objects eroding away at the wheels. Her hand reached up to tuck some blue strands behind her ear, walking as they conversed, her pink boots stepping softly onto the paved path in delicate yet purposeful strides.
