In the outskirts of the Water/Ice empire, stands the huge hellhole of frozen waste and death. The entrance to Blizzard Hunting Ground is a large tunnel, 20 feet high and a mile long, made out of perilous Ice that often breaks and falls on those below, and gruesome and painful death. In front of the tunnel stands a sign, saying simply, "Blizzard Hunting Ground: enter at your own risk." Blizzard Hunting Ground is surrounded by large icy mountains. The place used to be a place to dump criminals, where they quickly died. Constant blizzards and freezing temperatures make living close to impossible. At night time, the temperature gets around minus 10 degrees, maybe less. This is where the predators come out. The creatures and surviving criminals are much stronger than normal here, as well as much larger. Good luck surviving.
Welcome to the Empire training ground! ^_^ Pleasent, isn't it? If you wish to train, come here. In this place, you will learn to become stronger both in body and mind. If you decide to train here, I will be unleashing blizzards and NPCs. But, if you survive, you will be awarded with exclusive items and skills.

"The tide restlessly brings things to be upon the changing shore." The wind howled in protest with the sky avbove. Below, the ice forvevr remained a soft icy blue. All around, mist, ice evaporated from the ice due to the sun, spread through the area. It was like a fog bank that some how got kicked over to a desolate spot in the Water/Ice Empire. There were near to no trees in the area, if so, they were all frozen to the point that some had fossilized or turned completely into ice. A figure trudged through the baren waste land. A large scarf hung about the figures neck, wrapped around in a tight bundle all the while a strip of it fluttered with the lashing winds. From the look of the figure, he or she was young, their stride filled with energy. hair that in the right type of lighting, would be mistaken as white but in reality was blond. When the figure decided to speak, his voice cracked. Peeking from the bundle that hung about his neck providing him warmth, one would see two lustrious blue orbs that hung on either side of the mboy's nose. They held such purity in them, such clarity like they were staring into the heart of something unscupulous and unfathomable. It was as if they were crystal balls, reflecting the light. At the very center of the white crytal ball, blue took it's place. At the center of the blue, black remained. "Perhaps I had gone the wrong way.." the boy's look seemed uncertain. 'I though I turned at the right fork in the road, perhaps I was wrong...' The figure stopped their footsteps, halting their journey if not for a moment. "Looks like you've gotten yourself into a real mess huh Agito..?" Agito shook his head. What to do now? Certainly he would not go back? It was perhaps a day's journey to the nearest road, let alone civilization. He looked about, the abundant light that shined brightly so was begining to fade. he would have to find lodging some where. However he was in the middle of now where. Where in the world would there be anything close to lodging around this immediate area? Like an answer to his quiry he found a small den, nested within the side of a very large hill. 'Hope no one lives here...' he thought. In the den, large enough to accompany his body size he set his items out. Food, water, clothing, and his pack. Outside the wind continued it's onslaught. Perhaps he could meditate, rest in the meanwhile and then he could perhaps find his way back.

Itami shivered frantically as he continued his long journey to the infamous "Blizzard Hunting Grounds". He was curious as to why many people say coming to this place was a death wish. He soon regretted his decision and cursed himself for being so spontaneous. Somewhere along the lines of the outskirts, Itami spotted a large tunnel with a sign at the entrance. Once he was close enough, he read the sign out loud to himself. "Blizzard Hunting Ground: enter at your own risk." He glared at the words until a gust of cold air passed him and forced the mage to wrap his arms over his body and move on.
His cloak ruffled aimlessly due to the constant but random waves of freezing winds. He laid his gray eyes on anything and everything, only to be disappointed when only spotting ice and mist. What should have normally took less than 20 minutes in the heat, Itami spent almost an hour walking to reach the end of the tunnel. The incredible cold temperature caused him to stop several times and build up his depleting body heat. I am going to die out here, were the only words that surfaced his mind and flooded his thoughts.
Once the sky darkened and the temperature fell to the negatives, there were several howls and roars in the midst of the mountains. The thought of fighting for his life in these condition caused Itami to pick up his pace and raise his guard. He was weary of everything. When his eyes spotted a small den, he was more then sure it was a delusion but decided to check it out. Once he reached it, he smelled food and felt heat. There is someone in here. With a sigh, he opened the door and threw up his hands up, a sign that he meant no harm. "Howdy mate! So you've been curious of the huntings too? Nice den you have here though. Mind if I crash?"

"The tide restlessly brings things to be upon the changing shore." It was beginning to get colder, and to think he was already shivering. Agito went over to his pack and produced a semi large blanket. Rummaging around further and deeper into the old weather beaten bag, he found four small metal pegs. It was in times like that did he feel grateful for tools like the pegs and the blanket. Using his bare hands, he lodged the pegs through the corners of the blanket into the corners of the cave entrance. That way it would reduce the draft that the wind outside the stirred up. But he had yet to make a fire or anything of the sort to start a fire to keep himself warm. He peeked out of a crack made from the blanket and cave wall. It was not long before the daylight would extinguish. He went back to his belongings at the end of the cave, gathering them up near him in order to keep warm. He heard the ruffling of footsteps. He stood up in a half crouch, getting ready to skull bash what ever dared to come into his den with perhaps harmful intentions. It was a man. His hands held up high, in a jesture of peace. What the hell? Agito gazed warily at the man as he began to talk. He seemed friendly enough, though Agito could not be for sure, around the blizzard area, the only people that were here were prisoners that had survived. So why would he, this man, be out here all alone. Was it that he too got lost? If so, then it was a very quaint coincidense. Agito watched the man with great scruteny as he spoke "Come and sit. I will be back only for a moment.." He trudged outside dispite the cold and hurried off to the closest tree. It's branches were not completely frozen, most of it just felt really cold, and were low enough for Agito to break them off. Back in the cave he tried his best to create a fire. Since the branches of the tree were already dead, he need not worry about attracting unnessisary attention from smoke as dead branches produced none. It was a while before the fire burned to a merry state, the bramnches cracked and the flire flickering. "What brings a person like you out here in the middle of no where? Can I have a name?" Agito asked while doing his best to keep his teeth from chattering. He hesitated then tugged his bag over to where he was sitting, bringing out a book. Opening it, he began to read awaiting the man's reply. "Let your soul find peace in the garden of stars forever more..."

Itami smiled and sat down, getting comfortable. In his life, he met few people who would invite a random strangers to sit with them. Too many people held fear when it came to the outside world. Itami thought of the most comradely way to introduce himself while the stranger went out. When he came back, Itami smiled and waited until he was sitting once again. "First and foremost, I want to thank you for not striking me upon site. I know its uncommon for a mystifying man to intrude on your residency. But worry not, even given these harsh predicaments, I mean no harm. My name is Itami Asui, and I've come to explore the contemptible scenery. Many say its the perfect place to future your mind and body strength. But after witnessing the severe environment, I'm starting to question as to why I am so spontaneous. Anyway, its too late to change my decision. What's your reason?"
He looked at the man, running his eyes through the book. After looking around, it seemed he had the necessary equipment to survive in the harsh climate. But that didn't mean he could defend himself from the cruel creatures said to reside around the outskirts. He wondered momentarily about the said creatures. What if they were too powerful for even Itami to handle? It would be disastrous. But Itami was confident in his skills and would most definitely be able to keep his own.

"The tide restlessly brings things to be upon the changing shore." The man had smiled after Agito had allowed him to join. Agito had began to think that if the man was indeed an enemy, they would rid themselfs of the problem, Agito, as soon as they had set eyes on him. after that they would scavenge around his belongings for anything valuable. But this man had not done so, and so far, having a companion durning the night provided to Agito as a nerve comforter. Once had had come back with the dried wood, the man had begun to speak. Agito listened intently, still wary about the man though not as much as when he first saw him. "There's no need to thank, any other traveler would do the same. Though..I find it very hard to believe that you're here for contemptable scenery." Agito took a pause to create friction between two pieces of the dead branches he had collected. Itwas not long before a small spark came to be. With the help of Agito, the spark became a flame. "Guess it's too late to turn back now..." Agito mumured to himself. His head percked up when the man, now known as Itami Asui, asked him for his reason for his being in the deserted frozen, not to mention barren, wasteland. "My reason?" Agito mimiced? he gave a weak chuckle. "Ah, well I for one don't have a sense of direction. I was on my way to become a student at the Academy..but as you see not everything turned out the way I would have liked it to be..." After he had finished his sentence, there was only silence between them. Only the sound of the fire crackling prevailed over the veil of muteness. Agito skimmed the pages of the book. Parts of the book he had already memoriesed, the verses that were simple in structure. He had yet to learn the more complecated spells that dwelled in the back of the book. there was a muffled yawn, but it had not come from either of them."M-master? Why is it so cold and where are we?" It had seemed that Magnus had woken from his long slumber. "Good Morning, or should I say evening, to you Magnus. We are currently in a cave, hopefully on the way to the Academy of the Water/Ice Empire..." Agito greeted with a warm smile. Agito shifted his attention to his companion, Itami. "Allow me to introduce you to my friend, Magnus." Turning the cover of the book to Itami, Magnus stated a friendly "Good evening dear sir. On what accounts do you know my master?" As Magnus spoke, the face on the cover of the book mouthed the words that Magnus said."Let your soul find peace in the garden of stars forever more..."

Itami sat there puzzled, almost unbelieving the display of events. He shook his head and rubbed his eyes, almost certain he lost his mind. But as the face on the book continued to mouth the words, Itami sat there speechless. He glanced at the stranger, then back at the book. Still baffled, Itami attempted to find his lost words and look professional.
"Greetings. Your master and I only met a few minute ago. I requested shelter, he provided it. The names Itami Asui, glad to meet you, Magnus. Yall headed to the Academy Tower eh? Sorry to say but yea, you're really on the wrong track. But its amusing... to find another person interested in the academy. I myself am interested and gifted in magic." He smiled at them, then stared into the fire. It was warming Itami slowly, but gradually. The temperature outside may very well be around the negatives, and that would doubtlessly cause complications.
Itami mind shifted towards the academy and magic. And then, inevitably to the strange book. He wondered if it was a special type of sorcery, perhaps a unique specimen, or a soul sealed into the book. All were sensible assumptions, but can very well be debatable. It wasn't in Itamis nature ponder about something so vigorously, but he didn't want to rude and straight forward and just ask. As his mind continued to rattle on the subject, Itami suddenly realized he didn't know his companions name. He softly chortled and looked up. "I'm sorry sir, but I don't believe I know your name?"

"The tide restlessly brings things to be upon the changing shore." Agito watched as the man floundered about. It was most amusing to Agito. Most people whom have encountered Magnus for the first time usually faint from fright, but Itami was quite different. He shook his head and rubbed his eyes, apparently not believing what he was seeing at that particular moment. The man had looked between him and Magnus. The whole display was utterly bemusing. Agito could not help but sound a mute giggle.
Both he and Magnus waited and listened as Itami made his reply. Magnus was the first to speak between him and Agito. "Ah that is certainly kind of my master to do so." Magnus sounded like he approved of the behavior that Agito had displayed. "I apparently have no sense in direction after all. So are you also headed for the academy or is it perhaps you are already enrolled in it?"Agito inquired. He noticed that Itami had said another person interested in the academy, who could it be? "I was wondering if you are also gifted in magic...perhap you might know some fire magic to warm us up even by a nodual?" Agito asked, half teasing. The fire was nearly not enough to keep two men warm let alone alive should the tempurature decrease any further. The wind was not helping at all either. Bits of the howling wind escaped through the tarp that Agito. His hopes to quell the wind going through into the cave were near next to none. He gave a fient sigh.
The fire crackled on and on. He noticed that Itami was eyeing the book. If not the stare he could feel the gaze on the book. It was not the first time that people have had their gaze on Magnus, if not for any reasons at all. He guessed that one could not help but wonder what sorcery had come to cause the birth and creation of such. Agito too also pondered the though but did not dwell much on the matter as that any question that he asked Magnus was only relayed back with a slight mumble. Agito just made up something along the lines that a soul was trapped within the book giving life to the object in order to make it animated. Agito only knew so little about Magnus. Itami's lips moved in the shape of a question. "My name?" He paused, making a little smile while staring at the fire. "Agito. Agito de Lamare..." he replied. "Let your soul find peace in the garden of stars forever more..."

"Ah, pleasure to meet you Agito. Unfortunately, my magic specializes in water and ice. Thats one of the reasons why I must go to the academy. To learn different and unique spells and therefore be a stronger fighter. Especially as a traveler, its dangerous to wander unprepared or unaccompanied. Hmm, I haven't situated myself with the academy yet. I was close to doing so, but things got busy and I found myself constantly postponing. Actually, I'm considering leaving as soon as possible. Not because I cant handle the intense climate, but rather because I'm incredibly anxious to start higher training. There is also another practice I wish to pursue... But my next destination will most likely be the head Academy Tower. There are rumors of a new leader and new spells. You're free to accompany me since your sense of direction is...below average." Itami shrugged and tried to sound nice, but it was hopeless. He smiled and then frowned once he realized his busy schedule. Staying in the middle of a blizzard perhaps wasn't the best use of time.
He needed power and fast. Itami shivered at the feeling of the passing wind. His cloak hovered, partially revealing his hidden scythe. He chuckled and looked at Agito. "I have an idea to pass the time. If your up for it, we could do a little friendly spar. I'll be happy to show you the spells I know and mastered, along with some combative strategies and my swift skills." He winked playfully, although anxious to hear his answer. Itami hated missing out on his exercises and therefore becoming rusty. If his new companion was up for it, it would be an interesting night and a good use of time. But the main thing Itami was curious about the book. It seemed special somehow, perhaps had useful abilities or valuable insights. If it was a weapon or just a creature, the desire to know was tempting him to ask. He shook his head and turned to the entrance and exit. It was outrageous as ever.
The atrocious weather continued to unease Itami. Gust of wind licked his skin and made his goosebumps jump. His hands was growing numb, so he inched closer to the fire and hovered his hands over it. Ways to get and stay warm was now the topic of his ongoing thoughts. Fire magic would indeed be ideal for this situation, but that wasn't the case. Why did the blizzard hunting grounds have to be in a place so remote? Geez, im certain countless of cold bodies flood this region. No wonder people say coming here was a death wish. He glared at the fire, becoming more and more unsettled by the unfavorable conditions and momentarily forgot about the person right next to him.

"The tide restlessly brings things to be upon the changing shore." Itami had started up a conversation once more, this time talking a bit more than usual. Agito nodded when he heard about going to the academty to learn different spells. It was true. The more spells a person knows will most likely survive on the battle feild, if not longer than the norm. By the sound of how Itami was talking, he was a real go getter. The part about leaving as soon as possible to start intense training more or less told Agito that he was right. He laughed when Itami had said that his sense of direction was below avarage. It was quite tackful for him to say such. A smile spread across his face, warming up to Itami just by a little. "I would love to accompany since my sense of direction is below avarage" He put a little of emphasis on the last part but still held on to it's joking tone. "I commend your..how should I put it...eagerness to begin your training. I too wish to begin my training. It's nice to see another that's also specialized in water and ice magic." The wind continued to do what it did best, blow. Parts and fragments of it wandered further into the cave. A breeze decided to reveal what Itami hid underneath his cloak. A large scythe. It's blade clear and silver, shining dully in the firelight like a blood red cresent moon. Agito felt a chill run down his back. The blade made him uneasy somehow. Itami made a suggestion about perhap showing a couple of spells that he had mastered, along with other sorts of things. Itami gave him a wink. He still felt the gaze of Itami on the book. "Curious about the book?" Agito lifted up the book in the air for Itami to see, Magnus was sleeping at the moment as he tired easily, the face on the cover breathing softly. Perhaps of the vast power that the book held and the countless uses that Agito had used it for was taking a toll on the poor thing. "He never tells me where he came from or what he know about himself. The only tid bit that I managed to get out of him was that he was created along the shore, perhaps out of the sea foam itself. It's still a mystery to me even now how he was created or even who was the person who created him. I found him washed up along a certain river that was my birthplace...'' As he mentioned his birthplace, the vision of a clear blue green river lapped against the shore merrily, the sound of water trickling seeming as if something delightful had occured. 'Mother....' Shifting his attention back to the world, he replied to Itami's offer. "Yes, I would like to spar. Could you show me the spells that you have learned? I am most curious at how they work and function." Itami reached his hands over to the fire, warming them. It seemed as though he too was in his own little universe, contemplating."Let your soul find peace in the garden of stars forever more..."

The blizzard raged and snowflakes whit the size of rocks maked it harder to locate where you where. Ikos walked around in the snow alittle annoyed beacause he couldn't find any landmarks showing him where he were. Ikos walked slowly tying to find even alittle help. After some time he had walked around he saw a sign. Ikos walked closer and read it "Blizzard Hunting Ground: Enter at own risk... Ahh thats close to the Water/Ice Empire that means i'm not all lost after all. Hmm just have to get trough here then? Its not going to be easy but i'll have to do it The blizzard worsened up and Ikos knew he had to get going so he began walking again whit new energy "If im lucky i'll find the correct path to the empire at first try He looked up "Damn its already getting late i have to hurry up" Ikos noted evry stone and mountain to ensure he didn't go in circle's and got too far away from a place that he could sleep some hour's. Ikos could hear that this place name were not for fun there were sound's evry where hidden in the wind, Growling monster's and Scavenger's trying to survive against all odd's. Ikos had to be cautious if he were going to survive whit he's bare hands. He too had all odd's against him but he had to survive this monster filled place. The wind were slowly turning into a storm if he didn't find a safe place soon he were going to be done for.

The Itami snapped back into reality and chuckled at Agito's unnecessary emphasis, then grinned at the words of Magnus, even more anxious to see its secrets. "Aye aye. To me, power means a lot. My world is very dangerous, and without the right power or knowledge, you'll end up dead in a heartbeat. But yea, I would be glad to show you my spells, friend. First things first, I'll make the scythe head dull to avoid injury. Oh yea, I encourage you to force me into using my spells. They aren't a last resort or anything, but I must warn you my magic is by far my strongest attribute. I wouldn't want to end the spar too quickly." Itami winked at Agito, almost laughing at his cockiness. With that being said, Itami brought out the short scythe and extended his magic to it. The shaft extended to about 6 feet and the blades head visibility grew more and more blunt. The fires light reflected off the scythes head, making it shine and sparkle like a weapon from the heavens. Or hell, for Itami's sake. He struck the ground for a test blow, and nodded when it left no mark, satisfied. "Its only fair if I fill you in on this item. They call it Ikatsui, meaning grim, as in the grim reaper. I obtained it from an old tinker I helped out. I haven't had it long, but I think I unlocked all its abilities. Your in for a treat when we begin this spar."
Itami chuckled and stretched. After a few minutes, he flexed his magic and readied his weapon, making sure he doesn't go hastily. He waited patiently for his companion to prepare. The thought of catching him unguard and unprepared tempted him. He shook his head, dissipating the unfair thoughts. It would be extremely risky anyway, since the number one rule of fighting was never underestimate your opponents. Looks can be deceiving indeed.

"The tide restlessly brings things to be upon the changing shore." Itami thus replied to Agito's earlier comments. He began how power meant a lot to him. He told how his "world" was very dangerous and without the proper equipment, such as a trained mind and body, things would end up...welll...not as most plan it out to be. "I do not think it will be problem at all for me to instigate you to use your spells" he chuckled. Agito continued once his little giggle in his throat stopped. "And I. Magic has been a particular attribute of mine that came easily to me." Agito smiled when Itami winked, apparently amused by his arrogance. He watched as Itami had brought out his weapon, doing so he stood up. With the entire scythe shown, Agito got a good look at it. The pole of the weapon was about six or perhaps seven feet. In the dim firelight he could see the sharp edge of the blade dulling little by little until Itami had deemed it appropriate to spar with. Agito's eyes lingered on the blade, watching in awe as it shone and glimmered like stars on a moonlit night. Quite suddenly Itami struck the ground with his weapon. 'I wonder why he did that...was it to test it out?' Agito wondered. When Itami gave him insight to what the blade was called, Agito could only nod. Smiling, Agito replied, "I hope I am." Agito readied himself, tensing and relaxing various parts of his muscles. He brought Magnus out from his lap opening to the pages. He let out a sigh, closing his eyes trying to focus. Only a second passed before his eyes opened, showing two blue orbs glowing with anxiousness. His heart began to race. He called out, "Alright, since you said I must bring forth your spells into the light, I shall go first." He held out the book, muttering it's verses. Water from the nearby ice gather around Agito, sloshing around a bit as they globbed together in large aquatic orbs.

Itami's jaw slightly dropped once he witnessed Agitos abilities and unique glowing eyes. Agito was performing some strange spell or using an ability Itami never seen before. He noticed the ice melting and the water running towards Agito. Words cannot describe the bemusement that Itami was feeling. Still, he couldn't just let his opponent conjure up some spell. Worst case scenario, it could be lethal. Itami scratched his head and swiftly jumped back a few feet. Once he was in a safe distance, he made silent marks of the activity and thought of his options, thinking of the best way to deal with the situation. The scythe seemed to pulse in his hand, presumably craving blood. The magic in his body slowly extended to the surface and his heart sped. He flooded the scythe with magic, instantly linking the object to himself, and clenched his free fist. With flawless agility, Itami leaped upwards into the air, pulled his scythe hand back, and slammed it towards Agito with all his strength in succession. The momentum was just enough to proper the victim backwards. It would've drew blood and been quite dangerous if the blade was sharp. Itami guessed he packed a force of anywhere near 300 pounds using the scythes strike, possibly more.

"The tide restlessly brings things to be upon the changing shore." Agito witnessed as Itami displayed his astonisment. Could it be that his powers were different from the norm of that of aquatic sorcery? If so then it gave Agito a feeling similar to being content. He probably had a quality that Itami did not have. Agito analyzed his opponent, studying various aspects of his body structure. How ones body was built told much at how they fought. However for Itami, Agito struggled to do so. He would have to wait and find out. His skin prickled on the nape of his neck, feeling the magical energies that seeped through the blade that Itami held. Even from the bit that Itami had directed into the blade, Agito that what Itami told about the blade was no farce. With speed as fast as a tiger bounding for it's meal, Itami leaped. He swung his blade down, the blade whistling louder than the wind howling beyond the tarp door. Unlike most people, Agito just stood there, continuing on with muttering his incantations. With a Swish the blade passed through Agito. As the blade sliced across his chest, one could not help but see a faint trace of mist. Once the blade made it through Agito's body, he could not help but shiver and say comicaly " Oooh. Cold. " If Itami had taken a look at his scythe, he would notice that the steel was covered in water. With a whimsical breath, he snapped his fingers. A torrent of water from the amount collected by his utterings shot out towards Itami. It would do minimal damage, pushing him back a few paces. This allowed Agito to have space between them, giving him more time to continue to chant, but came at a cost. Agito was still new to manipulation of his respective element. He had to concentrate intently when bending the water to his will. "Let your soul find peace in the garden of stars forever more..."
