Nate Evans vs. Freakshow

"I am Perfection!"

Blue and white sparks shower down from just below the Titantron and similar blue and white fireworks explode up from the entrance stage as Nate Evans' entrance music hits.

"Perfection!
I am Perfection!
So take your best shot, give it all you got; Bring it on!"

Nate appears at the top of the entrance ramp as the second line of his music is playing and stands there arms outstretched for a second and looking first to the audience on his left and then on his right before facing forward and sweeping his hands front to back through his half spiked/half slicked hair and then flicking his hands outwards as if shaking wetness out of his hair.

As the second verse and chorus of his entrance music is playing he walks at a leisurely pace down the ramp, half swaggering with confidence and anticipation to an eventful and unpredictable match as always happens with him. He makes for the steel steps once he's reached the bottom of the ramp and climbs them with a slight bounce in his step before ducking between the second and third rope to enter the ring.

Now in the ring he moves to the nearest ringpost and climbs to stand on the second turnbuckle where he sweeps his hands through his hair once again and flicks his hands out towards the audience and then holding his hands out palms facing outward almost in comical apology to show he was only making fun. He points out at the audience in all directions and then back at himself before climbing down and turning to face his opponent, Freakshow.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

As the bell rings to signal the start of the match Nate moves to lock up with his slightly smaller opponent, thinking to push him back into the ropes and shoot him off to set up his first move.

Shooting his opponent off successfully, Nate waited for Freakshow to bounce back towards him and attempted a deep armdrag which he would try to hold onto and follow up into an armbar.

Nate managed to get the armbar sinched in for a good few seconds but was forced to loosen his grip slightly when Freak went for his hair. The referee forced Freak to stop pulling his hair, but by this time he couldn't stop Freak from getting back up to his feet; so he instead switched to an Abdominal Stretch and started raining blows onto Freak's exposed midsection.

Unfortunately his transition was a bit weak and Nate didn't get the Stretch on properly, so it would be fairly easy for Freak to break out or counter...

Nate knew that he had botched the submission hold but had hoped that his opponent wouldn't have picked up on his unusually sloppy execution. Unfortunately for Nate the Freakshow definitely noticed the weakness of the hold and as such it was Nate this time who found himself staring up from his back at Freak after the hip toss.

The sudden and sharp impact with the mat served as a wake up call to Nate that he wasn't in the training room anymore. This was the big leagues and he really had to up his game if he was going to get anywhere...

Freak sat him up and clapped on a hard chin lock, wrenching back on Nate's neck and driving a knee into his back. The indignation was clear in Freak's words; he clearly didn't appreciate the way he had been given someone who was basically a rookie in the business as an opponent. Especially considering said "Rookie" had just nailed him with a classic Armdrag and Armbar combo.

The cross-face shot caught Nate hard across the mouth but there was no way Nate was going to submit this early and to such a basic hold. Nate windmilled with his arms and pushed at the mat with his feet, trying to get them underneath him so he could attempt to stand.

After a few more seconds in the hold, trying to ignore the pain in his neck and back, Nate managed to get a grip on the canvas with his feet and slowly push himself up with Freak so that he was almost standing before grabbing hold of Freaks head and dropping back down to the mat for a Jawbreaker attempt...

Having hit the Jawbreaker successfully, Nate scrambled back up to his feet and shook out the stiffness in his neck from the Chin-Lock submission. Freak was leaning heavily against the ropes and Nate thought through a couple of things he could do for some high impct against his somewhat shaken opponent.

Happening on an idea, Nate took a few steps back before sprinting towards the ropes adjacent to the ones Freak was leaning up against, jumping with both feet to rebound from the second rope and deliver a springboard dropkick to the side of the Freakshow's hurting jaw.

((Is Freak on his feet standing outside the ring or is he lying down? I'll post as if he were standing, but if it's wrong I'll edit...))


His springboard dropkick hit the mark, not quite right on the button, but close enough to send Freak fleeing to the outside for a bit of reprieve. This was Nate's chance he knew. He couldn't afford to give his opponent any breathing room. He had to stay on the offensive.

Once again thinking "high-risk high-reward", Nate lined his opponent up before running back against the ropes to build momentum for his next intended maneuver; a suicide dive to the outside.

"Yaaaaaaaah!"

With the extra speed from his rope bounce Nate flew between the second and third rope arms outstretched, head first towards the Freakshow for what was either going to be a devastating hit, right on the money; or a devastating crash and burn...
