Nadia had been the one to bring it up, but Kei was the one who bugged Sun until the ends of the earth to make it happen. Sun didn't really have a problem starting any of her kids up for extra things like dance class or ice skating or gymnastics. The only things she worried about was the fact that well.... Kei had small blades coming out of his heels. Sun had called the teacher and they had said that it would be fine for him to take the class, just realize that he wasn't ever going to excel at ballet. He could be good at tap as long as he got special shoes made.

Kei really was all about the ballet though. He was actually bitterly disappointed when he found out that Nadia would get to wear a tutu and he wouldn't. He was dressed in a red wife beater style shirt and a pair of short stretchy shorts.

Nadia on the other hand was more bitterly disappointed Kei was joining her for her classes. She didn't want to spend extra time with him, and she certainly didn't want to be associated with him. She was shooting him glares in the back seat. She was also wearing a dark purple leotard, matching ballet slippers, and white tights.

Sun pulled in front of the school and Kei hopped out of the car. Sun came around and pulled Nadia out of her car seat and carried her in. Upon entering the little waiting area Kei spotted a girl sitting by herself. She was very cute and looked a little....lonely. He marched over and sat down next to her, giving her a smile. "Hello! Are you waiting to go in for lessons too? My name is Kei." Nadia wanted nothing to do with Kei, so she sat with her mother and played with her hair.

Both Kei and Nadia entered the room as the teacher waved everyone in. The difference was Kei was talking to Isolde, while Nadia was being aloof.

It was a conundrum for Kei to think of how to answer Isolde. He didn't really want to be the prince....he wanted to be the princess too, but he'd learned that saying things like that were not considered normal behavior. "Yeah I have wings, like Ask! I know Ask, he's kinda like my cousin. And...well I guess I don't really care who I am in Swan Lake as long as it's a leading role!" He felt like it was a pretty neutral thing to say, and it was true anyway. As long as he was on stage being something important with lots of attention he was happy.

Nadia watched from the other side of the room as the teacher droned on. That poor girl Kei was talking too...she seemed pretty nice, and normal besides. Maybe she should go over and rescue her from Kei. Nadia waited until the teacher was done talking and then went over and introduced herself. "Hi there, I'm Kei's sister Nadia." She stuck out her hand to shake Isolde's with a sweet smile.

Kei thought he might barf. Nadia was so.....ugh.

As Isolde babbled on, Nadia nearly preened. This girl was more and more pleasing. Sure she talked a lot but she also thought Nadia was pretty. That made her ok in Nadia's book. Kei however couldn't resist preening a bit as he was called pretty too, running his fingers through his hair and giving Isolde a pleased smile.

"Thank you." Nadia replied finally as Isolde stopped. "I think you're pretty too. I don't know about swan lake, I haven't watched it. Do you like it?" Nadia tried her best to speak properly, talking slowly and forming each word with care. She gave a satisfied smile since she felt that she'd done pretty well.

An unhappy look came from Kei to Nadia as she spoke. It wasn't that she said anything wrong, Kei just didn't want her to speak to his new friend at all. He took his place in front of Isolde and concentrated on doing his best to do the positions right. He turned his head back to speak to Isolde.

"I think you're pretty too Isolde." Kei shot her a happy smile over his shoulder. "But yeah it was my Mom. She's nice. Too nice sometimes maybe." He thought of Nadia when he said that. His poor Mom, having to deal with her. Although... it was true Nadia was always nice to her.

Kei couldn't help but feel a bit self conscious when Isolde brought up his shoes. He knew that someone would surely notice, since he was the only one wearing shoes like them, but he hated that he had to wear special shoes.

"They're um...well I have kinda weird feet so I have to have them." Kei looked forward as he said it not able to look her in the face. He turned his head again and gave her a small smile. "I'm glad you think they're cool though."

All but rolling her eyes Nadia stated simply, "He wears them because he has blades coming out of his heels." Clearly Isolde needed to know what a freak Kei was.

Luckily for Isolde she was successful at annoying neither of the other kids. Nadia assumed that Isolde understood what a freak he was, but was trying to be nice. She could respect that, it was a pretty normal reaction.

As for Kei, he couldn't help but shoot Isolde a grateful and happy smile. If she was willing to go shopping with him, she must not think he was a freak. He moved into fifth position too with careful concentration before speaking. "I'd love to go shopping with you Isolde! I love shopping. Oh and clothes, I love clothes too. And yes, I think Ask is really smart too." He couldn't help but agree on that last bit.

Nadia would of course like to go shopping too but since she wasn't invited she didn't say anything about it. She shifted into fifth position like the others. "Ask is pretty smart but sometimes he says strange things. I like him though." She could comment on that bit at least.

Kei shot Nadia a dirty look in the mirror for her comment about Ask. He hadn't ever said anything weird that Kei could think of. "I go to the school for special kids too! I'm going to be moving into the dorms soon. Too bad we can't be roommates. I'm not sure who mine is yet. My older brother Edmund lives in the dorms already and he seems like he's having fun." Kei gave Isolde an amused look over his shoulder. "As much as I can tell anyway, Edmund is pretty serious."

Nadia and Kei both followed the next bit of instructions before Kei looked at Isolde over his shoulder again. "We have two older brothers! Edmund and Gavin. Then we have a sister who's younger then me, but older then Nadia named Willow." He thought that having no siblings sounded awfully lonely. Sure Kei didn't get along with his siblings all the time but he knew that most of them were there for him when he needed them. "Well if you want to come over and play with all of us sometime I'm sure Mom wouldn't mind!"

Nadia had to nod in agreement as much as she hated that Kei was right about something. "Mom loves kids, and I'm sure we'd have fun." She liked Isolde, so having her over the house seemed like a fun idea.

Both Kei and Nadia couldn't help smiling at their new friend. "Wow Isolde, your house sounds really cool. I've never seen a horse in person. We've ummm got a garden and a big yard and some toys and stuff, and each other!"

Nadia nodded in agreement with Kei, forgetting about her dislike of him momentarily in her excitement. "You forgot the swing set Kei. We've got dress-ups too. Horses are really pretty! I want to see them too." She then gave Isolde a sidelong look and whispered in a hushed tone. "Isolde what is a yacht?" She hated to ask what she was sure was a stupid question but she'd never heard of anything like that before and Isolde seemed so nice she was sure not to think anything less of Nadia for not knowing.

As much as both Kei and Nadia wanted to learn dance, they too were eager to pay closer attention to their friend. Luckily for them all the teacher soon dismissed class and they could all pile into the lobby and chatter away to their hearts content. Well that or until their escorts home arrived to scoop them up and away.

Kei took Isolde's hand and led her off to do just that. "Come on Isolde let's go out and wait for our rides!" Nadia brought up the rear.

"Yes, I want to talk more about playing together." Nadia did find herself thinking that if her and Kei had to agree on on thing. At least it was thinking Isolde was really cool.
