Owen yawned as he walked along one of the deer trails through the forest. He had no problems seeing at night and the full moon certainly was a great help. Not that he had troubles seeing at night to begin with. He often preferred being out at night since his dark coat often got rather hot during the day. Night time was always cool and refreshing like a nice cool drink of water. He yawned again still not yet awake. He usually slept in the afternoon so he could be up most of the night. He looked up through the trees at the crystal clear sky with all its stars glittering in the darkness.

Since it was a clear starry sky, Audora the winged deer daughter of Snowlily and Skah would be out and about. She always had a thing for these kinds of nights thanks to her mother. Her ears stayed perked up for any sounds of the crickets once she made it out to the meadow. The moon began to shine down on her nearly snow white fur which seemed to make it shine. She looked around the place once more then began to graze on the grass that had just got the fresh dew.

Owen's ear swiveled back and forth listening to the sounds of the night. The crickets were out in full force tonight so he wasn't picking up much of anything else. Since it was night time, not many were out and about now but that didn't mean there wasn't danger. Some of the skinwalkers and kalona came out only at night which only made them that much more dangerous.
Owen's stomach decided at that time that it was going to complain of hunger and gave a mighty rumble. Owen sighed and decided it would probably be a good idea to head towards the meadow and grab a quick midnight snack. The clover would have the dew on it now and would be extra delicious.

Audora murred slightly as she was grazing on the clovers and the grass with the dew on them. Her ears moved side to side, picking up every sound that the night had to offer her. She knew of the dangers of the night but didn't care for she could take care of herself. It was something her parents had taught her. Her small tail flicked slightly. That is when she had heard hooves hitting the ground, making her perk up very slightly.
"Hello?" She said gently, opening her wings to make herself look a bit bigger just in case it was one of the kalonas or dragons.

Owen stopped suddenly when he heard the soft voice on the wind. His ears swiveled in the direction the voice had possibly come from and he listened quietly for a few moments before deciding to respond. He could hear the ruffle of feathers and soft breathing. He noticed he was just on the edge of the forest and meadow. He peeked through the under brush and his breath caught at the sight before him. Standing in the center of the meadow was what he could only think of as an angel. Her white coat glowed in the moon light and her wings were fully extended. She looked simply amazing standing there in all of her beauty. For a moment he was awestruck.
"Hello." he echoed back to her unsure of what else to say to her.

Audora tossed her head slightly as she caught the sight of the stallion. She knew what to do when there was danger. Several of her herd members had taught her when she was much younger than she was now. She slowly blinked at him, moving cautiously towards him. "...Can I help you, Sire?" She said in a soft melodic voice that can only be heard upon the wind. She was born ready to fly or run at a moment of danger. She knew in the back of her mind that she was not to say her name for any reason whatsoever til she felt safe enough for her to do so. Her ears was down, showing him a face that was quite serious. "...This is the night for someone like me.. a child of the moon..a child of the stars. Forgive me.. but what are you doing out here?" She didn't show one ounce of fear towards him.

He shook his own head coming to his sense again. Now was not the time to play a dumbstruck stallion. It was night time and she was probably thinking he was some kind of creep for being up at this time of hour. And sure enough her words confirmed that she did not trust his presence and he took a step back. "There is no need for you to ask for forgiveness for asking questions. It is I who am sorry if I startled you, miss." he replied back softly, trying not to make himself seem like a threat. "I was just on my way through to find something to eat when I stumbled upon you. It is not often that I meet angels in the dead of night." he finished, still hoping not to scare her away. He didn't often get to meet many others, regular or otherwise, since he did find it better to wonder around during the night rather than the day.

Audora looked towards him, her head tilting right at him. It only took her several moments for her to take everything in. That is when she had just burst out in giggles, calming down in that moment. "..Me? An Angel? I know I may look it.. But I doubt that I am innocent to be one, sire. But you are certainly sweet to think that I am one." She moved closer to take in his features and his personality, folding her wings back in place. "But, you only merely startled me for several moments. It is rare that I find another out in the middle of the night other than my mama and papa." She said in a soft gentle voice. "My name is Audora." She flicks her little tail almost like a puppy would.

Owen felt the tension in his body ease with the sound of her giggles and a crooked grin spread across his face as she walked closer to him. He just stood where he was letting her come over to him. "The way I see it, your innocent until proven guilty to me. Isn't that how the saying goes?" he commented back. He noticed her tail flitting about and thought it was cute, just like a puppy. "I am sorry that I startled you. I am probably the only one in my family who is crazy enough to go out at night. But its just too hot during the day for me to stand it." he explained with a flick of his ears.

Audora tilts her head towards him and giggled once again. "I like you. It is rare that anyone truly believes that, sire. My herd is not exactly innocent but I was raised in it. I love them to death for it." She moves towards him as she gave him another smile, looking down to her tail. "...It is the cutest thing about me.. That tail of mine. I can wag it like a puppy can." She said with an amusing tone to her voice. Her ears perked up at his words which caused her to look at him. "It is quite alright.. My mother gave me a love for the night time. I love the stars and the moon. But you are quite right about the temperature. It is far too hot for anyone can stand the heat. Whats even better about the night time is you can do anything you pretty much want." She whispered gently to him, tilting her ears towards him.

Owen chuckled as well and shook his head. "I would hope that you liked me otherwise I would have to leave and find another meadow to get my midnight snack in!" he said with a twinkle in his keen eyes. "You tail is quite cute. There are two others that I know who have short tails but nothing quite like yours. I like it." his own tone was picking up the same amusement that was in hers. "I like the stars and moon as well. They make great company and don't talk back to you or upset you. They are just there to listen to your secrets. And I agree with you that the night is better cause there is no one around to care what you do or do not do." he said and then paused for a moment. He was now thinking about his own mother and his strange upbringing. "I honestly don't know if either of my parents love or even like the night. My mother is hardly ever around as she is always off somewhere, most likely with my father but I can't always be sure. She is a strange one." he finished still with a grin on his face, not wanting the conversation to turn to something sad or depressing. Not that he was ever upset with his mother or how she raised him.

Audora looked towards him with a smile. "Don't be silly. I would never ever hurt someone that is in need of food to survive." She says with a giggle. She moved towards him now that she was feeling a bit more comfortable around him. "Thank you so much. I am glad that you like my tail. It is a good thing to have instead of having such a mane to take care of." She coos out the words then looked towards the sky, letting out a neigh. "You are right, Owen.. Countless stars have been told of my secrets.. my dreams.. my everything." She then looked towards him when she had heard about his parents. Her eyes softened greatly as her mouth moved into a frown. "I am so sorry that you didn't know your parents that well." She whispered gently. "My mother kept me close by. She made sure that I spend time with my papa. Since my siblings didn't know theirs too much." She then moved to give him a kiss on the cheek. "But you know.. You just gain a new friend.. possibly more thanks to the stars and their strange ways, Owen." She smiled once again at him. "...I hope you and me can study the stars together." She opened her wings slightly only to put on over his body.

He chuckled and shook out his own tail. "You mean like mine? It does get bothersome sometimes but it's not all that bad. Your tail though suites you well." he said still grinning and looked up at the sky as well. "And just think of how many secrets, dreams, and wishes of others they have heard. After all you are suppose to wish on a falling star." he looked back at her and noticed her frown. "Now, now don't frown. A pretty face such as yours should only have smiles upon it. Not frowns. And there is no need for you to be sorry for what my parents did or didn't do. I am not and can only learn from their mistakes. Besides, it's like you said. I've gained a friend and possibly more." he replied with a crooked grin and a wink. The stars were definitely casting their strange ways their way tonight.

Audora tilted towards Owen then at his tail. "I think your tail is handsome. I don't know how you can take care of it." She moved closer to him as she looked right back up at the sky. "Do you know.. that some of those stars helped dreams come true? It finally did for my mama." She giggled softly then looks towards him. "... My papa did tell me about that. I saw my first falling star when I was about to turn into what I am now. I think it may be coming true now." She said with a deep blush appearing on her face. She sighed gently as she listened to his words. ".. You really think I am pretty? My mama told me that I was the most adorable filly in the land when I was born." She said with a giggle. "How did I get from Adorable to pretty?" She tilts her head towards him. "..Some parents get nervous as first time parents.. My mother did when my big sister, Cassie was born." She croons out to the stars as if she was telling her life story. The stars seemed to sparkle just a bit more as she opened her wings slightly. She then turns her head towards him, "..I believe so, Owen..." was the whisper that came out of her lips. For such a dreamer, she looked serious for the first time in her life.

"It is rather difficult to take care of but I ever now and then go to an Indian girl who brushes it out for me." he said casually and noting how the blush that was spreading across her cheeks made her look even prettier. "Well if that is the case, don't tell me what you wished for. Then it wouldn't come true. And I think your even prettier with that blush on your cheeks." he said as he winked at her. He titled his own head as he listened to her melodic voice. "I don't know if my parents were nervous. They sure don't let on that they ever get nervous." he said with a more serious tone to his voice as well. Then he turn his head towards her and smiled before sneaking a quick kiss from her rosy cheeks. "Besides if they had ever been nervous then I would be nervous right now standing next to an angel."
