The albino drow adjusted the shoulder strap of his travel bag uneasily. He shouldn't have been showing so much unease. It was difficult though. He was walking through the halls of one of the most prominent buildings in the entire underdark. Drow dressed in different colored robes rushed by him. Red and blue, black and gray, brown and yellow. This had to be one of the most colorful places in the city that did not have a end result of flashing bodies and bared skin. It sort of reminded him of one of the grottoes he had the good fortune to come across during one of his treks across the wilds. Tall standing mushrooms of swirled colors grew in a small forest. Glowing moss had hung from their caps and crept up the walls. Strange feathered bugs had darted about, gathering the moss to make little nests tucked up into the blooming caps. It had been a place of quiet beauty, something he had been able to linger and enjoy for a few moments before carrying on.

This place was hardly as quiet or calm or harmless as that grotto. Divintra was careful not to let his purple gaze linger to long on any one of the drow males that brushed past him. The few random females he was twice as careful not to glance at. For once Lin was exceptionally quiet and still. Prior to entering the Tower he had taken a moment to speak with his little mist form companion. Lin seemed to fully grasp his concern, which was surprising and it led to a string of curious thoughts concerning this being. She, at times, seemed more knowledgeable then him. Surely this was a sign of some deeper form of magic. Though Divintra was no mage, and he was not about to take advantage of his current job to speak to one.

Males that came to the Tower Sorcere were possessed of one or two things. The first being ambitious drive. The second possibly being wealthy backers who acknowledged the value of their mind and skills. Combined Divintra saw them as a mass of opportunistic males. The threat was so prominent that Divintra had canceled all of his precautionary spells. They would have been unhelpful in this place, and quiet possibly a hindrance. So now his little Lin was tucked into the furthest corner of his bag. Well out of sight and so quiet he could have almost believed his mind was alone once more.

Divintra found himself stopped quiet often and challenged at nearly every corridor. Each time he politely explained he was delivering a package to a Lord Xexsis. A few times he found himself hard pressed to continue his politeness when his challenger attempted to learn what the item was or attempted to get him to pass the package over to them for delivery. Divintra only knew the package was a book. It had been handed to him in a pre-wrapped state, and it had stayed thus. As his pride dictated, he had not even tugged in the neat corners or at the hanging threads of the cloth wrapped around it. He had tucked it into a separate section of his bag and left it there in safety. As for handing it over...that was where Divintra had trouble not laughing. He was -not- so foolish as to believe the item would reach it's destination and owner if he ever let it pass into anthers hands.

So...what should have taken maybe ten minutes of stair climbing, in fact took him three hours of side stepping, soft talking, and actual stair climbing. Divintra was mentally exhausted by the time he reached the ornate door he had been informed was his destination. He ran a hand through his white hair once, then lifted his hand to knock sharply on the door.

:: It was difficult to concentrate on his many tasks, more often then not he'd find himself distracted by thoughts of his younger brother... Sent away for his own good, and yet... well... he was starting to doubt his decision. But when those ghosts of doubt rose up, he'd crush them back down. He had been too easy on the boy and now they were dealing with something that was far more dangerous to the family then one of the lesser houses. They were dealing with a spoiled brat that would cost them much more then their rank, he would cost them their pride, their favor with the Goddess. The latter most of all the thing that would give him the ability to thrust the doubt from his mind, "If it is her will, then what comes, comes..." Zerk had to prove himself and it was out of Lazarius' hands, all he could do was give the boy the means to find what it was to be a male within this society of Chaos, barely managed by the dominant females of their race. ::

:: His thoughts were interrupted by a staccato beat of knocks on his outer door. His secretary gone for the day he gave an irritated sigh... If that was another student come to waste his bloody time after hours, he'd take great pleasure in slowly shearing his skin from him in crepe thin strips. Though when he looked into the scry glass upon his desk, what he saw was most assuredly one of his more suicidal students.. ::

:: Divintra would feel the familiar crawling of his flesh, he was being watched... just as soon as his knuckles left the door... that sensation didn't last very long, but was overridden perhaps by a sense of surprise as a mouth appeared upon the door, large enough to swallow his head if it did not end with those sensuous lips that spoke in a pleasant sounding tone, "Now, what have we here?" The mouth, curled into a smile, wooden as it was it still didn't crack or creak, seeming as supple as the lips of whoever summoned them... "State your name, classification and your business with High Mage Xexsis." That cool, creeping sensation returned so now he was faced with an enigmatic smile and that feeling that if he turned he'd find some dark thing standing close enough to bite him on the back of the neck. ::

Divintra attempted to brush off the uneasy feeling of being watched with the acknowledgment that of course he would be watched here. This was a tower of magic. He was certain there were spells of sight around every corner. However, when the mouth formed upon the door, so very large and apparent, Divintra could not help but take a step back. He had a flicker of a thought, of a carnivorous spell that caused the door to devour one who answered a riddle answer wrong.

He looked on in silence, rather then risking looking like a fool and stammering he took the time to compose himself. Divintra formed a faint smile and adjusted his hold on his messenger bag. "I am Divintra. I am a Courtier. I carry a delivery intended for High Mage Xexsis." He answered the magical mouth in accordance to it's questions. He dropped his hand to lightly rest his palm and small talon tipped nails over the tied flap. "I believe it is a tome of some sort. I was given the impression he would be expecting it's arrival this week?"

:: The mouth drawled out in that silky masculine tone, "Actually I have exceeded the title of High Mage young courtesan, oh courier, pardon then... hmm" the eyes within a skull that was off to his side slid slowly over the cloaked form, scanning him for magic, weapons and whatever lethal sort of plaything the messenger might be carrying, "You should address me as Arch Mage, very well then..Turn in a circle now with your arms held out to your sides..." the door mouth instructed him now....

On the other side of the door, still sitting quietly at his desk, Lazarius watched his visitor closely, when he'd taken a step back from the door, Lazarius had needed to stifle a chuckle, it was humorous to watch the mundanes reaction to his plethora of 'tricks' Of course, the scanning was no trick, though the bright red eyes staring out of a bare boned skull was meant to set the subject of it's attention with unease, just as was the mouth, yet this was a far more vital tool in staving off assassination attempts. It had been a while since someone had tried to take his life, but here in Menzoberrazen you did not let your guard down ever, you ended up dead quickly that way. ::

Arch mage? Mentally Divintra cursed the man who had hired him for this task. He had not been specific enough in his description of the recipient. He had used the term High mage, but he supposed he had not meant it as a title as it were a description of his positioning in the Tower. "My sincere apologies Arch Mage." He replied after a mental jabbing from Lin.

The request to turn about was not so strange that he would hesitate. Divintra lifted his hands away from his body and turned about in a slow circle. Of course he was carrying a weapon. A slender stiletto was tucked into the fold of his messenger bag right along the seam. The weapon itself was as thin as a pencil, and just about as long. Divintra had only needed to use it twice in his time traveling, both times when he'd made a poor judgment choice that went contrary to Lin's warnings. By means of magic...Divintra was a blank slate. Commonly drow carried a few rings or other trinkets to give them a upper edge, or at the very least a House Insignia or guild token. Divintra carried not a single thing of these sorts. He simply had not saved up enough gold to afford anything that he could not already do himself using his divinely granted powers. He felt that his prayers were enough magical aid that he needed at the moment. Though he did have the black glass ball and the black mirror like holy tome tucked into his messenger bag.

As Divintra turned about, it was then that he noticed the glowing red eyes in the skull. he had been so distracted by the mouth he had missed the glaring obvious skull above. He paused, his purple eyes flickering over the gruesome decoration, and completed a second turn. "If I have passed your inspection, I would like to complete my delivery Arch Mage." Divintra spoke plainly.

.::. Lazarius allowed a small smile creep over his lips, he enjoyed playing with the drow there was something about him that was fresh. Like a child's new plaything. Pitching a tent out of his fingers in front of his face, partially hiding behind them as they continue to look into his scrying glass. He watched the other squirm as the skull gazed down upon him, making him feel more than uncomfortable in the arch mages office. Oh he knew that he wanted to leave he knew that he did not want to be there any longer than he possibly had to be but this was something important, that tome that he had asked for was quite expensive and he hadn't been expecting it for at least another week. That it had come so early was definitely in question. So he is going to have to interrogate the boy before he let him go on his merry way.

"Oh don't worry you're going to complete your delivery on young Sir... there just a few more things that I will need to look over before you can make your leave of the Tower of Sorcere."

The door in front of him started to creak open just a crack just enough to start to see the dimly lit interior of the arch mages office though the drow himself was not within his line of sight. He would have to let him sell the rest of the way in and when he did he would see the mage behind the desk slowly rising to stand incredibly he was then a pair of pristine white robes. Least of all what you would be expecting an arch mage of necromancy to be wearing. And the fact that he was not a withered and old husk of a creature was something that he could find surprising. In fact he was quite young and very beautiful to look upon shockingly enough. Though there was definitely something in those bright pink eyes of his, something dangerous something that set off warning flares within the mind of anybody that would look within them.

"Come... come closer so I can have a good look at you, there, there don't be shy...and the package? I would like to have a look at that to..."

with a graceful motion of his hand to direct him closer to him Lazarius would come walking about his desk... slowly spreading his hands out in front of him in a welcoming gesture but Divintra would probably fail to feel very welcome and all. In fact you would probably want to leave more than ever now. .::.

Divintra exhaled a breath of relief when that door finally opened up. Though... he had expected to see the necromancer standing behind it. Divintra looked at the opened crack and felt Lin's ordering voice ringing between his ears. Moving in accordance to her nudges, he slid through the door and looked around.

The place was highly unnerving. Divintra tugged the black gloves up on his hands to try and dispel the unease. No...even that was not helping. Perhaps it was just the ambiance of the room. Or maybe it was just the entire Tower. Divintra turned to look upon Lazarius uncertainly. This? This was the Archmage?

Stop letting shadows fool you boy. Lin's voice hissed in his head. Blinking his eyes to keep them focused outwardly rather then inward, Divintra took a few steps towards the gesturing mage. White was such an odd color to wear. SO very out of the common. Divintra paused in his steps and reached down to open the flap of his bag. "Your book..." He said as he gripped the wrapped package and tugged it out uneasily. The book was fairly large, and in the shuffle to pull it out some of his personal belongings had gotten moved around. Lin hissed in his head as she was dissappated a little bit. The package's edge peeked over the edge of his satchel... and something caught between one side and the edge of the bag rolled out. The movement caught Divintra's eye, but it fell too quickly for him to react.

The scrying ball fell like a lead stone. The black glass struck the stone floor with a sharp 'c***k' sound that was almost musical. Dinvintra flinched, expecting the ball to shatter as it re-bounced on the floor. 'tink-tink-tink!' Divintra watched in horror as the glass ball rolled off.

.::. Lazarius probably would've found it more enjoyable if he was able to look at Divintra's face as he had crept his way into his office nonetheless. The pleasure of seeing his face was taken from him for the boy was wearing a cowl which quite completely covered his face. If he hadn't guess you think that the boy was most likely sweating profusely at having to be in his presence. He could almost visualize him squirming beneath the cloak unable to wait until the moment when he was told that he could leave this place and put his back to the Tower of Sorcere and perhaps even the city of Menzoberrazan as quickly as he possibly could. But as he fumbled with the power cell Lazarius couldn't help the slight smirk that twitched at the corner of his mouth, so nervous. One would think that he was trying to hide something, but no he wouldn't come into, Sorcere having some sort of secret to hide would he? Surely his messenger wasn't that stupid? But then Lazarius would give this answer is, hot pink eyes falling along the path of the dark word slipped from his companions packed clink against the floor, with almost deafening sound a sound that did not want to be ignored. His eyes trailed after the work is ruled so casually across the floor and settled against the side of his sandaled foot. Slowly when of his feathery white eyebrows arched over his strangely colored eyes.

"Now... this is something that does not look as if it belongs to you,"

... From within the folds of his robe. He produced a silken handkerchief black flicking it over his palm to cover it well before he leaned down and fluid motion and pick up the orb as it rested against the side of his foot. Bringing it up to eye level, he would first peer at the orb, and then he would look to Divintra. There was definitely a question within a shocking pink eyes. But more than that it was and now a whole lot of suspicion, frowning slightly as he would ask another question of the delivery boy.

"... So what is it then? Are you a thief, or is there a reason a lowly male should be carrying a tool that should only be used by a priestess or a mage with years and years of experience. Funny, this doesn't have to taste of anything magical about it."

And that was something that he should know Lazarius may be a lot of things, but he did know those whom practiced the arts of magical within the city if none other. It seemed by the grace of Goddess, something unusual. Something special had been brought to him, if only he could see his face then perhaps he would understand just what it was his Goddess was trying to tell him. It was at that moment at the door behind Divintra slammed shut with a sharp crack, one of Lazarius's minions are obviously come out of hiding to do the deed that its master deemed necessary to keep this mystery guest of theirs right were Lazarius wanted him. .::.

Oh...oh no. No no no... It was damaged. He just knew it. Divintra froze in place as he watched the black glass ball rolled to the Archmages foot. He had not seen any cracks along the surface. Nor had he seen any chips fly away. His fear over the ball being damaged quickly changed to a fear of the fact this stranger was now picking up the ball. Divintra took half a step towards Lazarius. His left hand lifted a little bit towards the hand that held his possession.

"I..."

Tell him it is a delivery to a priestess! Lin ordered him.

"Delivery...to another person...somewhere else." He stammered, and winced at the angry words he heard echoing in his head. Divintra took a small step towards Lazarius and held his hand out.

"It is..a tool for the divine..that is why you sense nothing from it. I am merely carrying it to a different location. I am a courier, not a thief." There. The words came much easier now. Swallowing, Divintra did his best to keep his uneasy trembling from being too visible in his fingers.

"I would appreciate it if you would return it. Here is your book." With his other hand Divintra finished pulling the wrapped and bound book.

::Something wasn't right here... he was too nervous for one thing... Though that would explain it, if it really was a delivery for another and Goddess strike him down if it was a priestess and he'd been so foolish as to drop it. But of course that didn't add up, for one, it wasn't in a package and protected by packing, it was just rolling around, loose in his bag, now, he hardly seemed like the sort that would take on such a delivery as he'd see that his own book was wrapped up neatly and tightly, "Just put that on the desk, right there..." he'd give a jerk of his chin to indicate the barren area on the corner of his desk, more then enough room there for the package he was carrying...

...The fact that he wasn't allowing him to see a part of him as well was making the mystery all the more enticing, if he was wrong about all of this he could just dump his body in an alleyway, he's station permitted him to such idle pleasures... and there was something decidedly sneaky about the little messenger boy... "You had best come to me and take it... I am sure you do not wish for me to lob it to you now... no?..." a sweet smile played over his dark lips as he'd keep his startling pink gaze upon the boy... yes.. come closer, closer still so I can use this orb you are lying about to put a nice crack in your skull... That's it, a little closer... La'Zarius merely waiting until the courier was close enough so he could attempt to knock him out with the very thing he was so desperate to get back.

In his head, Lin was growling in such agitation. Her voice made it hard for him to truly focus. If only she'd be quiet! He would have been able to think more clearly if she'd just shut up! Divintra turned his head to see where Lazarius was currently pointing, and he moved with a slight stiffness to his steps towards the desk. He carefully laid the covered book down, and was relieved to hear Lin settling down in his mind.

~Just get the crystal back and get out of here. Boy you are so...so..untrained! Your a embarrassment! You should be able to think up a excuse as fluidly as inhaling a breath. This is what happens when your not taken under proper tutorship!~

Okay, Divintra took that back. Lin wasn't being more quiet, she was just being more sulky. He was certain that this was not what Valin intended when she had gifted the little mistform to him. Perhaps somewhere in her creation some of Divintra's own fears had filtered in and thus shaped the mouse elf shaped creature's personality?

Divintra managed to hold off on shaking his head to clear the clouded others thoughts and shifted a few steps towards the white robed mage. "Oh...no...no." Divintra spoke with a faint hint of a possible smile on his lips. "Lobbing is...bad.." Particularly seeing as how special the ball was. Divintra closed in on Lazarius, then held his hand cupped out in front of him in a gesture to receive his crystal ball back. " I..will just let myself out now. I have other deliveries to attend to and do not wish to further impose on your studies." At least he assumed it was studies since it was the delivery of a new book after all.... "I am sure your eager to inspect your newest acquisition."

::The mage wasn't trying to detect mind speech at the moment, if he had it would have been near maddening seeing where they were. All the mages that mind spoke with their familiar's... with each other, yes it would have been a veritable cacophony in his head if he'd tried to do that... But there was something in the way the boy was holding himself.. the distance in his responses, how the words he spoke seemed broken... something was going on and Lazarius intended to find out what...

He'd have to chuckle softly at his comment on how lobbing was bad, "Yes, yes... it wouldn't do to damage your package now would it?..." his lips curling into a half smile as he'd watch the way the shrouded figure was creeping his way towards him... soooo very cautious he was being... as if he were approaching a poisonous viper freed from it's pit..."You'll let yourself out of course..." came the smooth reply and then an inquiry, "but you do not want a tip? Ah you must be the most diligent messenger boy I've ever seen... what is your name so I can use your services if I've a need to send a shipment, hmm?..." He certainly was taking his time getting across the room now wasn't he?!

..Finally he was within striking distance and he wouldn't have to worry about rushing him and giving him a chance to become even more defensive then he already was... he had to smile more darkly at his assumption.... "Oh yes... very eager... you have no idea...." as Divintra was lifting his hand to take the orb, that was when the mage would strike.. as he'd lift his own hand and attempt to give the messenger a good solid clip across the temple to knock him out, using the very object that he'd been creeping his way across his sanctum to retrieve... ::

Divintra focused a bit on the fact the door was just a few steps to his side. Once he had his ball he would be out of here. Out of here, out of this un-nerving tower and he promised Lin, he would never set foot inside again. That mental acknowledgment seemed to quell her internal dissatisfaction.

As much as she complained and berated him, Divintra knew her voice only grew worse the more nervous or scared he became. Perhaps that was it then? Lin was the voice of all his doubts and self questioning that he tried not to acknowledge. Of course, in her protective nature, she must have thought it was good for him to face these feelings, and thus she came down harder on him when his wits were in danger of scattering.

~Your wits are scattered if your having this deep internal monologue while facing some high wizard. Damn it boy, focus!~ Lin's scolding voice flickered through his head. She was right though. He ought to have paid closer attention to the wizard.

"No tip is necessary Sir." Divintra managed to reply faintly. The request for his name was not all that odd. It was by word of mouth that he had gained most of his business after all. "D-Divintra Sir." It would be good for him, he supposed, if someone as high in standing as Lazarius referred him to others then he was bound to receive better job offers. The smile that Lazarius bestowed on him was very disconcerting however. He wanted to think that it was something to do with the book. Perhaps it was one of those very unpleasant books. It made him rather glad that he had no problem following his policy about not asking what was in the packages. Ignorance could be a protection. It could also be a threat.

Lazarius rose and moved swiftly while he waited for his crystal to be handed over. Divintra managed to react, all his years living in the streets had given him a degree of survival instincts. Just because he'd taken to traveling in merchant caravans for safety did not mean he had grown lax. His hand shifted upwards in an attempt to block the blow he saw coming just a little too late. Divintra was strangely aware of the odd way the crystal echoed in his head when it cracked against his skull. He wasn't aware of any pain either. It was just like..a flash of bright light. Odd that, not even the faerie lights were that bright, it sort of made him wonder if this was what the surface light looked like?

After that though, he thought of nothing. The look of fright that flickered over his face went blank in the seconds that followed when his body fell limp to the floor.
PostPosted: Tue May 03, 2011 4:54 pm

:: The hem of his pale robes brushed against the limp form at his feet... Lazarius stood there a moment to admire the work that he'd done... Most wouldn't find a mage to be a physical threat to themselves, magics usually poured forth from them.. and while that was something that did indeed work... the strength of the drow nature made them a bit more resistant to the effects of magic so it was best not to attempt to waste any of his true strength unless it was absolutely needed.

"Well... Divintra was it? Let us see what we have here, shall we?" he'd wedge a toe under his shoulder and roll him over on to his back, off of his pack... if he proved to weigh more then he looked, Lazarius would bend down to manually wrest his body over on to his back using his hands and the enhanced strength hidden bracers had given him....

Leaving the crystal ball on his desk, he'd pick up a pair of gloves that matched his robes and slid them on to his slender fingered hands.... crouching next to the prone body he'd begin his exploration of his outer clothing, feeling him up and down, even taking off his shoes in the process.... Pulling Divintra's pack closer to himself he'd start to open it... and then proceed to tear it apart... carefully setting aside the wrapped packages "See, why would you have a crystal due for a mage or a priestess unwrapped and unprotected in your sack? Tsk, tsk... little liar.. what do you hide?..." by now, no doubt Lin had made her appearance, Lazarius would react to her with a bit of curiosity but in the end he'd banish her with a way of his hand to dissipate the mists...in the end, she'd end up in a jar on his desk beside the crystal ball.

...He'd been searching through the pack for a while when it was he'd come across that thin bound with leather book... It was hidden quite well between the hardened slats that seemed to serve only to protect the contents of the pack, but on closer inspection that was when he found the book... he'd snap open a pair of glasses that had been hidden within the folds of his robes and hold the book at arm's length from himself... He'd flip the pages under his thumb, making a shuffling sound as they flew deeper into the thin tomb.. Nothing to be seen there... not for him at least but obviously someone, his pink eyes flickered down to the unconscious form beside him, could see very well what was on these pages. He'd place that upon his desk as well, next to Lin and the crystal ball.

"Szarkai....." he'd give a soft, yet surprised whisper as he'd push the hood of Divintra's cloak back... "how... pretty you are.... " his fingers gently tracing over the lines of his young face... Perhaps he was an assassin? It was hard to believe that a blessed Ghost Spider was a mere delivery boy... "such a shame to kill you lovely one...." bending over his unconscious body he found himself hard pressed to resist... then he decided not to... he leaned down and cupped the back of Divintra's head, joining lips with him, fully and deeply... Tasting of him most intimately for he was powerless to resist the probing of his mouth and tongue. Sucking on his bottom lip, giving it a little bite before he'd draw away, stroking the side of his face and then rubbing his fingers over his now swollen mouth. Oh, it was a sweet one indeed! His blood quickened his pulse and his body stirred with want... But now... now he had much to do and it just wasn't the time... What a shame that was indeed! It wouldn't do to have him waken just yet so now was the time that he'd press a cloth of chloroform to his nose and mouth to make certain the boy didn't stir awake until he was absolutely ready for it.

Now he had him in his laboratory... it had been a good half hour since he'd kissed the young szarkai... Lazarius had Divintra strapped down on his examining table, stripped down to just the last bit of clothing that would be covering his most private of regions. But other then that, that beautiful pale body was on full display for the mage's roving eyes... and oh did he look upon him with a hunger....Sure, he was dusty from his way of life, but he was fit, slim and just too perfect for words... The amulet about his neck was left in place... That did not help his fate much... for this made it almost impossible for the mage to believe that he was anything else other then an assassin... Lazarius had brought in everything that he had discovered from his office, including the sulking Lin. Now he stood over Divintra... contemplating how he would kill him... oh, it would be easy in the state that he was in... but death for him would not be a simple thing, nor would it be quick... Obviously he belonged to another family that wanted to usurp his own... frowning as he'd reach forward and take that amulet between his thumb and forefinger to rub at the etching... perhaps there was a loophole to keep him as his own? His frown deepened as he felt some etching on the other side of symbolic talisman.. What he saw there made his shocking pink eyes widen... "Heretic!!..." the smoke and mask told no lies! Fury gripped him as he'd clench his fist about the holy symbol and rip it violently from the neck of the boy... snarling as he'd cast it to the floor and crush it beneath the sole of his shoe, furious eyes glowered at the creature as he slept... oh the things he would do to him! The pain he would be put through! He would be begging for the forgiveness of the goddess by the time that he was through! ..... but wait....

Silence shrouded the mage for the longest time as he'd stared upon the szarkai....his fingers resting on the table but his mind worked furiously.... "This is a sign... a gift..." he had served Lloth with great faith and more fear for his entire life... who better to return one of her lost blessed to her then him? His arrogance allowed no other name to come to mind so it must be true... He had just found his loophole... "you will be mine, for you are Her's....and She has left you in my care... to learn who you are from me so you shall properly serve Her... yes... now I see... blessed we are the dark children that cower in fear of Her our Mother." he'd lean down and whisper into the pale pointed ear of Divintra... "I will make you see...." his hand, rested upon his chest, slowly it had started to drift down of it's own accord until it laid open on the warmth of his captive's lower belly, stopped by the cloth and his realization of what he'd been about to do.... "one day, you will thank me, when you have been fully returned to Her..." pressing a kiss to the lobe of Divintra's ear.

He had to get away from him, there was time for all of that later... He had things that he needed to test... Like how it was, this creature, could use a scrying crystal... so now he was brewing tea. It was infused with herbs that would induce visions if the subject could indeed have them... The boy's name all but screamed of his ability, masking the truth in a seemingly innocent way... Lazarius thought to add a bit of truth serum to the concoction as well, it wouldn't hurt... the boy proved to be a lousy liar but at the same time it was much easier this way and he wouldn't need to mar up his pretty body with whip lashes to get the truth from out behind those lovely and sweet lips of his... He cranked up the table so Divintra was in a half seated position, almost as if he were in a chair that reclined... Lazarius had the tea poured now and a tin of smelling salts in his hand... passing the salts under his nose he'd wait until his eyes started to flutter open and then he'd force open his mouth and pour the hot liquid in before the other could fully grasp what was going on in his hazed state, clamping his hand over Divintra's mouth and pinching his nose closed he'd speak in that forceful but smooth voice, "Swallow and you shall have air.."...

The bliss of unconsciousness saved Divintra a great deal. He was unaware of the wicked thoughts flickering through the mages mind as he attempted to make sense of these odd facts. Divintra's body was easily enough moved with the wedged toe under his shoulder. Though he had unquestionably been making a better life for himself, when it came to matters of money Divintra had been very careful to ration out specific allotments for clothing, hygiene, and food. Since appearance was so important when attempting to impress those he was working for or delivering to, food tended to be the smallest allotment. In due time, through hard work, Divintra had planned on changing this about of course. Now though it seemed as if he'd not have the chance.

Once he had rolled off the shoulder bag he carried most diligently with him, Lin would make her presence know. Seeping out through the opening, she fluttered up to point in a scolding manner at the pretty pink eyed mage. her lips moved rapidly, though not a sound would vibrate within her misty throat. The first hand wave caused her essence to dissipate, but she quickly recovered and pulled herself back together so she could drift around Lazarius head. Oh how angry she was! Lin gestured towards he unconscious Divintra, and in her moment of distraction she found herself encased in glass. Lin's little mouse ears pinned back and she looked around herself. Her look of surprise turned to outrage however when Lazarius set her down on the table as casually as some coins taken from a pocket. She lifted her misty fists and ineffectively slammed them against the glass surface.

Lazarius would find during his investigation of Divintra's bag a small array of items. A spare change of cloths, a thread and needle pouch, a hairbrush, soap in a small stone box, a small first aid kit, travel rations, a thin blanket to name a few. All normal items to be expected to be found in the gear of one who traveled constantly. Divintra carried with him a small copper dagger normally, though the blade was woefully dull due to it's use for things other then cutting he flesh of enemies. The few remaining packages wrapped within revealed themselves to be a pair of letters and a odd sort of figure encased in bone. The boots that were removed, would reveal a hollow heel in the left. Within a small pouch of coins was stashed. In the right boot however was a smaller and much sharper little dagger coated in a clear substance.

Through out the invasion of his items and even the imposing touches to his unprotected flesh Divintra remained blissfully unaware. His lips parted under the uninvited kiss, the force of it flattening the soft curves of flesh. Within her glass jar, Lin fluttered and swirled in extreme agitation of her charges violation. Dibintra's head rolled slightly after his lips were released from Lazarius kiss, the pale white of his bottom lip was flushed a soft pink as a result.

Lazarius' preparation to ensure that Divintra remained unconscious proved very effective. He remained oblivious of the movement of his thin form, nor was he aware or resistant when he was bound tightly to the table. Lin's anger simmered into a angry sulk as she was carted along like some random item to be placed upon a shelf. It was not like she could really do anything about her entrapment after all. Her angry disapproving glare did not waver as Lazarius removed all of her wards clothing, and it was only after Lazarius would discover the hidden holy symbol that her expression would change. Her movements became quick and uneasy as she tried to desperately find a way out of the bottle.

Had Divintra heard the slow words spoken by the mage following the discovery of his symbol, he surely would have turned a terribly gray color. When finally Divintra was roused, it was with a start. His head twitched as the smelling salts would force himself back into wakefulness. Divintra's purple eyes fluttered open under their heavy white lashes, and he looked groggily at Lazarius for a moment before he found his nose covered and the cup forced to his lips.

"Ngggh!" He groaned in protest and attempted to lift a hand to bat away the offending cup. In his mind he heard Lin's voice yelling rather firmly.

~Don't! Don't you dare drink that! It's poison!~ She worriedly yelled. Sadly Divintra's foggy mind could not grasp her yelling along with his bodies desperate need for air. He swallowed the fluid with a unpleasant expression wrinkling his nose. Once more Divintra attempted to move his hands, but he did not have much time to ponder why he could not move them as the tea would have such a quick effect. His lovely purple eyes blinked twice, before a eerie violent glow would overtake the whites of his eyes.

"Ah..nah..." He gasped as images he could not seem to focus upon flickered before his sight. Divintra began to strain against the bonds holding him in place as his garbled vision. He felt as if a needle was being poked through his temples as the forced vision shimmered and strained his undeveloped senses. Within the glass on the table, Lin swirled wildly in circles of agitation. She pointed insistently to the black crystal next to her with urgency.
