"Look. The w'folk has meat in bowls fer ya t'eat an' then I can rub you down good. 'kay?" N'ymi coaxed Daroth awake. The blue's dreams of meat and such had awoken her from her own slumber in her last day of her bed. Thankfully, she didn't have too much stuff to transport and had planned on getting it after the Feast later.
I am hungry now. And I itch all over. Maybe Camm can help scratch me? His eyes colored with discomfort.
"Nah. Scratchin's no good. You need t'be oiled. An' we can do tha' a'ter ya eat." N'ymi replied with a flick of her hand. She turned and grabbed on of the buckets filled with oozing and fresh meat. Wrinkling her nose at the smell, she tossed a piece to the blue and waited for him to eat without choking. "A'ter all, you gonna make a mess wi' this."
Paying attention to her only love, she didn't notice a girl with a streak of silver dragon approaching the feeding area.

It if it hadn't dawned on her yet that her thoughts were no longer her own, the morning after the Hatching certainly brought it all back.
Kelvariiiii. I hurrrttttt.
That voice, a crystal sound that had an undertone of pain, woke the young weyrbrat from a fitful slumber with a start. She had already been awake most of the night tending Sakath's sensitive digestive system, and had only fallen asleep a few hours before. Blinking her bright blue eyes at the curled up form of the hatchling at her side, she moved to soothe him with the stomach rubs she had been doing all night, but was snapped at for her efforts.
Not there, here. The silver groused, twisting to present his back to his new rider where it was obvious by the stretch marks that his hide must be itching him something awful. Sighing, Kel only patted the spot.
"We'll need to head outside and get the right oil for that Sakath, shall I carry you?"
No, I will try to walk. It is not far right?
"No, let's go. There should be food for you as well." Though given the silver's current state of pain, she doubted he'd want to expand his girth until the current growing pains were dealt with.
Good, I am hungry too.
Or not.
Sighing, Kel hurriedly clothed herself in the exact same things she had worn the previous day and called her little green firelizard down from her sleeping perch. The green, called Chanel, chirruped sleepily and obliged, landing on her person's shoulder with a weary greeting to the young hatchling as well. When all were ready, Kel scooped up Sakath anyway and carried him as far as the exit, then let him walk the rest of the way to the butchers and the other weyrfolk who would be assisting the new weyrlings the first few days. Nearby she saw quite a few of the other hatchlings out and about with their riders, with the closest being a girl and her young blue dragon that looked vaguely familiar.
"G'morning." Kel offered to them both, asking Sakath to plant himself near the blue while she gathered the required scrub brushes, oil rags, oil, and a plate of meat for the silver. Eyes whirling an impatient orangey-red, Sakath obliged with a low rumble, but otherwise remained on good behavior.

Snap! Chomp! Nomnom! Pretty much was the order that Daroth was doing things. He had so far managed four large chunks to himself and had shared another his what he now considered HIS flit, Camm. The pangs of hunger were starting to leave his eyes and he was quite happy to be at Nasuymi's feet adoring her greatly.
Camm, having decided it was not such a bad thing to be claimed by BLUE, was resting between his shoulders blades when she noticed a familiar green that she liked to gossip with... YOU! Sitting up, she chirped that BLUE had food and would SHARE. Come here!
Daroth, happy to see anyone smaller than him, rumbled his agreement softly that there was plenty of food and yes, Camm's friend could share.
All of this took place the precise moment the newly impressed Silver rider said "G'morning." Thus starting a whole chain of events to follow as such.
N'ymi, recognizing said girl, nodded. "Morning yerself. Grats on tha' fiesty fella there. Nice shade o'silver. Ya need a bucket o'meat ta fill 'im wi'?" She was sure that this girl had been in the same creche group as her, if not maybe a Turn behind and was not as social or as flighty as some of the others had been. A plus already.
Daroth, delighting in the fact that there were dragons smaller than himself, had grabbed a big chunk of meat and picked himself up to take it over to Sakath. Dropping it in front of his little silver nose, he leaned forward. Hello there! You didn't catch my name but I heard yours! I am Daroth and mine is Nasuymi. I got a nice piece of meat for you. You are hungry yes? I was so hungry as well.
"Dun' run 'im over, Dar. He is a lil mite an' you just might squish 'im or sumthin'. Back up an' let him 'ave sum space." Nasuymi scolded.
