 Ayita was prancing through the forest; she was in a bright mood, and was enjoying the seclusion she had found deep in the forest. Glancing around, the mare sighed in content; it was peaceful. While fairly dark, due to the tall trees, every so often Ayita would see a ray of light that had made it's way between the leaves and trees. The light rays would always cause a smile to grace her face. Shaking her head, she took note that her mane felt heavier than usual- the two legger that had patiently gained her trust would certainly have plenty of things to pluck from her mane when she next saw her.
Stumbling over the remains of a tree that had fallen long ago, Ayita realized that she needed to quit thinking so deeply of her mane, and pay attention to where she was walking. Glancing around, Ayita saw an abundance of light that then faded back into trees once more. Quickening her pace to see why there was so much light, the mare was pleasantly surprised to find a natural stream of water. With a small smile, she lowered her neck- gratefully taking in a bit of the cool water.
Finishing her drinking, Ayita stepped into the stream, letting the cool water wet her lower legs, and clean off her hoofs. With a grin, she stepped out of it on the opposite side from before. Trudging forward, as she'd walked by a bush a squirrel scurried out. Screeching loudly, Ayita jumped away from it; by no means was she scared of squirrels but the thing had certainly startled her. Laughing loudly, the mare felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment at her shrill shout.

 Faye had been grazing happily on fresh leaf buds. He loved when it was good growing weather; it meant more of his favorite food would start to appear. Leaf buds were a mix of sweet and sour, and they always seemed to have dew collected in their folds so it was even better.
His tail gave a wave at a bee that got too close to him, he meant it no harm only to scare it away and indeed it did leave. His whole day had been slow and lazy one, there was nothing around to show humans were near today and this alone set him in a happy mood. The sudden sound of a shriek cut through the air, his ears crane forward and he stopped moving holding stock still even as the little bee landed on his nose.
Feeling concerned he bolted, his hooves pushing him quick and light in leap like bounds as a deer would. He did not find it hard to know where to place his hooves for the roots and things did not bother him and the bushes scrapped across him but did not scratch.
He kept going until he came to a stop and was looking at a mare. His eyes swiftly looked for trouble but he saw nothing, a butterfly some flowers and other plants. Ears turning to the side in confusion he looked back to the mare. “Are you ok?” Maybe a fish had jumped under nose while she was in the water?
“Do you need any help or?” He trailed off, now feeling foolish for running to help however screamed when it seemed the screaming was for nothing.

Hearing hooves thundering towards her, Ayita's blush intensified. It was moments like this that she was immensely grateful for her black coat. Looking up, she tilted her head. He has antlers? She'd never seen another one with antlers, she'd seen wings, but not antlers.
"I...uhm...I'm f-fine. A s-sq-squirrel s-startled me." Ayita blushed once more as her stuttering kicked in. The day she stopped stuttering would be a day to celebrate, in her opinion. "I d-do-don't t-think I need a-any he-help? B-but, y-you never kn-know...I m-mean, I di-did g-get st-startled by a s-squirrel." The mare looked down at the forest floor in embarrassment. She was a grown soquili, but a squirrel made her scream like a foal. He had to think that she had some sort of issue. Looking back up, she gave a small smile.
"Th-thank you f-f-for com-coming to ch-check on me." It really was quite nice for him to come to see if there was any issue, quite a few others would of ignored her scream. Her tail flicked lightly, shooing away the flies and gnats that were near to her body. Looking at the stallion, Ayita gave a light grin- they both had a black coat.
"I h-hope I d-didn't di-disturb y-you..." She trailed off in a mumble, while awkwardly shifting in her place.
