It was more peaceful out here in the rogue lands than he’d thought it would be.
The young lion padded smoothly towards the small stream he’d been listening for, looking for a few mouthfuls of water to erase the flavor of morning from his mouth. Obadias slept still, probably because his little brother had had a restless night, but Anwar had grown accustomed to getting very little sleep. He preferred to be awake, there was much more to be done.
Dawn was touching the sky with pale colors, casting a tint of golden fire to the undersides of the clouds. The water couldn’t be far now, unless it was a much tinier stream than he’d thought. Alert for all it was early morning and he’d hardly slept, he made his way down the faint slope to the water. He was fairly satisfied with the past few days, he might not have found his star yet but he would find her. And he’d already been successful in his experimental game, so really… All he had left to do was look after his little brother, make sure Obi found a girl, and he would have completed every objective.

Morning were not her favorite thing.
Actually, they were far from it. She hated when the sun rose into the sky and the light blasted again her eyelids. It was like a personal alarm clock that she could never turn off. The only way she got to sleep any later than sunrise was when she found a cave, and unfortunately, that wasn't very often. Tonight she had slept in the tall shrubbery next to an oasis, with hopes the grasses would block the sun from her eyes. Tragic as it was, she had no luck with that.
Yawning loudly, Njalo crept from the shadows toward the water for a morning drink to clean her palate. She paid no mind to who else was there. This was public rogue ground. Everyone was there for their own reasons. Over time as a young adolescent, she'd learn the most would rather not talk about where they were going, either. Their were a few lions around the pond here and there, but she did take note of the attractive young moss green one near her. What an attractive young thing. Too young for me though, chuckled the adult as she lapped up her water.

Well well, who was this?
Anwar licked a bit of the water from his maw as he lifted his head, eying the bright pink lioness as she came to get a drink herself. She was pretty enough, he supposed, though he did prefer colors on the...darker...side of things. Much, much darker. She was another who was older than he was too, not that he'd any trouble with that. Far from it. But he did wonder why he hadn't met any lionesses his own age. Mildly.
"Good morning," he called, his voice light and friendly. It would be quickest to get a feel of the territories around them by speaking to someone who lived near here. Certainly, he did not wish to find another violent pride with his face. At least the cut by his eye was healing, there wouldn't even be a scar, and his limp was gone at last. But it was an experience he did not care to repeat.
And he didn't care for his brother to learn the way he had either.
