Hello, my lovelies!
Welcome to Opus Dei. I don't ever intend to publish this, so I will simply put it here for your reading enjoyment and to allow me to work on my writing skills. Free free to critique away!
Special thinks to my beta-reader, Serenity Reed, who has encouraged me to keep writing and to put up more ideas/novels/etc. THANKS, BB!
Opus Dei focuses on the last book of the bible, Revelations. For those of you who aren't familiar with the biblical works, Revelations tells of the end times, and the rise of the anti-christ. Opus Dei particularly follows two characters, Madison and Shinji, as they navigate through dark times. It becomes even harder when Shinji realizes that the anti-christ is her childhood friend, and that he role in his rise to power is far more complicated than what she imagined. Rallying together with allies chosen to fight with her, they form the resistance group, Opus Dei, in hopes of stopping the end of the world.
Opus Dei was formally known as True, and initially started out as a small story that my friend was writing. Back in high school she tried a couple of times to get everything started, but she unfortunately only managed to come up with her main characters attributes and nothing else. I came forward to her one day and asked her about her story and the following nights we began to brain storm and really get into it.
When I put forth my ideas, True blossomed into something extremely special, and it easily became one of my favorite things to write about. As her interest dwindled, so did our friendship, unfortunately, and a clash of views (particularly, the fact that she is extremely right wing/conservative/devoutly religious, and I am...well, not) severed whatever we had left. We no longer talk, but True was still lingering in my mind. She'd be pretty pissed to know that I posted it here, but I'm not really that concerned, considering that she didn't want to write anymore to it and the fact that I had poured a lot of ideas/effort into it.
That said, I still want to write about it, as I find that it's dancing in my head from time to time.

Yeah, I mean, I'm all for believing what you want to believe, but not when you outwardly slander others for their lifestyles.
Anyway, that said, you probably know more about the book of revelations than I do! So you can tell me if I'm doin' it wrong or whatever.

Hmm, you know? I actually don't know. I mean, the only knowledge I have of revelations is what my friend told me. The only thing that's really "true", I guess, is that there's a big bad anti-christ guy and people running around trying to stop him.
EDIT: However, terrifying angels may be a good idea in itself...

Holy crap, yeah, send it over; I'll see if I can incorporate it somehow. And on the topic of research, if there's any helpful sites on the book of revelations, you can send it my way, too~
Not that I really care about this getting published, or anything, it's just more for s**t and giggles and just a way for me to explore my writing if anything, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to be accurate. XD
