Lucretia had just got permission from her mother to go wandering with Khuluma and she was stupidly happy. However she wanted to say goodbye to her father and so she left Khuluma for a little while as she went to find her father. She didn't want him meeting her father on the off chance he didn't like the idea of her wandering.
"Father?" She ran towards where she had been told he would be. Where was he? She raised her head and sniffed. Ah he was over there! She smiled and trotted towards where she knew she would find him. They had such an odd family unit but it worked in the sense that none of the siblings got on but they all knew that dad was boss.
"Father, I have something to tell you!"

He had seized on a rare moment of peace, a silence that had become nearly non-existent. Arrg, it was driving him nuts. If he wasn't having to listen to his children fight among themselves, he was listening to their mother nag at him. Nag nag, it was all that damned woman did. One of these days he was going to tear her tongue out.
Of course if he killed her, then he'd be left to deal with six cubs on his own, and she'd probably come back to haunt him in his next life, hmph. At least his children were strong, and apart from two who remained completely useless, they had learned well. Little monsters, all of them, and at least some of them would become true warriors.
A dark ear twitched, the flick of his tail, a disgruntled snort as his quiet time was cut all too short by a familiar voice.
"What do you want?"
His words may have been harsher than he'd meant them to be. b*****d though he was, he did care about his children...in his own way.

Lucretia was use to her fathers way. It didn't phase her unless he was angry at her, then she wasn't happy in the slightest in fact she would probably be found underneath her mother. Luckily today wasn't one of those days.
"I came to say goodbye." Lucretia held her head up tall as she spoke, trying to make herself look bigger and older then she was. In all honesty she had trained well when her father had taught her but she would never be a warrior. She was too care-free for that and though she fought well, she didn't want to.
"Mother just said I can go wandering with Khuluma for as long as I like if he looks after me. So I came to say goodbye because I thought you would like that." There we go, the actual explanation as to why she had found her father.

His eyes narrowed, his tail snapping in irritation. Her mother had given permission had she? Stupid woman! She had no place telling his children any such thing! (Yes, they were his children, HIS, she was just their mother). He'd have a word with her about this later.
"And who is this...Khuluma."
He spoke with that scowl that always seemed to grace his maw, suspicion (or perhaps disgust) in his voice as he spoke the name.
Snort, as if he was going to let his daughter go gallivanting off with just anyone. And while ultimately he could not begrudge her the wish to go off on her own adventure, he would NOT tolerate any harm falling to her. He would make sure she would be well protected or she would not be going anywhere!
Then again, being that she was -his- daughter, perhaps it was this Khuluma who would be needing protection.

Lucretia wasn't surprised by her fathers reaction, it was why she hadn't brought Khuluma with her! She knew it would be best to do this on her own and so thats what she was going to do.
"He is another god, mother meant him once before. He is older then me and has been wandering a long time on his own so I am going to keep him company and look after him." Lucretia wanted to make it look like she was doing it as a favour but she really did want to just go.
"He has promised mother that he won't let anything hurt me!" She added that in just to hopefully please him though there was never any knowing to whether you were pleasing her father or not.

The god raised a brow, massive paws crossing in front of him, like a great sphinx debating if he should show mercy or smite the insignificant mortals.
"If you are going to look after him, then why do you need his protection?"
Tanaka had never been one to be fooled by double talk, she would have to do better than that. Surely he had taught her better.
He supposed he would have to let her go though. Strong though she was, Lucretia did not have the heart of a warrior. He had taught her as well as he could, she'd have to find her own path now. And well, he was her father, he couldn't break her heart.
Was that a soft side in the great god of conflict? No, no it most certainly was NOT. And if you dare to think so he would rip you to shreds! Like he would do to anyone who dared to harm his daughter, like he would do to Khuluma if he allowed any harm to come to her.

Lucretia looked up at her father as if he was completely stupid!
"He is going to keep me safe but I am looking after him so he isn't lonely anymore! See we are looking after each other. He is lonely so I am going to stop him being lonely and he knows the world and stuff so can look after me out there." It was all rather obvious to her and she was sure her father knew it all really.
"You don't mind though do you father?" She looked up at him using the big puppy eye look she had used on her mother. She was never sure if it actually worked on her father but she tried anyway, where was the harm in trying anyway? She knew he probably wouldn't stop her anyway.
"I can become stronger because of it too...." Maybe that would help? She wasn't sure though her father was just so confusing!

"That trick will not work on me."
His tail lashed, a growl creeping into the edge of his voice, as if he were offended she had even tried. Cute may have worked on her mother, but it would -not- work on him!
Well, maybe there had been a part of him that had smiled at his daughter. Using that cute little face of hers in an attempt to manipulate both her parents, it showed a level of deviousness he could not have taught her himself. Manipulative little monster, he still wasn't falling for it.
"And what if I do? Your training is incomplete."
Now -that- may have appealed to him, and he could not help but chuckle at how his daughter had grown. Well, she was a clever little beast wasn't she. Strength, that was what appealed to him. It seemed she did know how to convince her father after all.

Lucretia wasn't sure whether or not this was working in the slightest. Her father was hard to please and she knew it. Her tail flicked behind her and she looked up at him.
"Surely being out in the world will just help my training father?" She asked the question innocently enough. She did believe it though and she knew she would have to keep her own training up so that she didn't disappoint her father. She would look for him again.
"I will continue to train every day, I will become stronger for it and I will come back and prove it to you!" Oh she was trying as hard as she could she really was trying.

A smirk had spread across his maw, an expression that quickly faded, replaced by that far more cold gaze.
"Will you? And if I find you a month from now, will you have kept that promise?"
It was a serious question, one that demanded an honest answer. Would she truly continue to train, or was she only trying to appease him? Were it the later, well, he did not take well to being lied to, especially by his own daughter.
"Well? I expect you to not disappoint me."
His tail twitched, watching her closely, reading her expressions, her posture. Tanaka was no fool, not was he one to simply allow his child to wander off to the wolves. Wherever she went, wherever this journey carried her, he would be watching, he would make certain she kept that promise.

Lucretia looked up at her father and didn't answer him straight away, instead she pondered the question somewhat. She would keep up her training, because she would want to and because she wanted her father to be proud of her but would she be able to do it everyday? She hoped to.
"I shall try my best to train everyday but I won't promise it be every day in case there is a reason why I can't. I want to make you proud though!" She really did and the honesty shone in her eyes. She knew that not telling the truth would get her in trouble and she didn't want to make her father mad at all. She wanted him to be proud of her. She just wasn't sure if he would be... she would just have to make sure she trained well!

Tanaka snorted, looking away as if he were debating his answer, or at least wanted her to think that he was. Fine then, if she was really that determined. Hmph, one less fuzzball screaming in his ear and chewing on his tail, maybe he'd get lucky and she'd take one of her brothers with her.
"I will not stand in your way if you are so determined to go. But I will be watching you, I suggest you not forget your promise."
His eyes narrowed as he spoke, his voice clear and stern, the voice of one who would not take well to being disobeyed.
"Oh, and inform your friend that if any harm comes to my daughter, I will kill him, painfully."

Lucretia smiled as her father spoke. He was allowing her to go! Not that it made much of a difference because she was sure as mother said she could go it meant she could go regardless but she wanted her fathers approval!
"Thank you and I will pass the message on!" She smiled and ran to her father, rubbing against his legs before running off again.
"Bye!" She called after and headed off towards where she knew Khuluma would be waiting. They could start their adventure at last!
