>> I rented it out from the video store..and my sister didn't want to watch it..but I forced her too 3nodding Anyways... I'm a fan of horror movies..and I thought that scenes will make me jump or shiver or freak out...but...NO.... eek
My sister, however, was cowering next to me...and everytime I leave the lounge (to get some food or whatever) she didn't want to be left alone... but I honestly didn't find it scary. The concept of it though, I found really awesome (how when someone dies of terrible grief or sorrow somewhere that the place becomes cursed..or something along that line).
It was supposed to be "scarier than the Ring"...well..that didn't scare me either but I mean.. come on!
The only scene that I liked was when the body was crawling down the stairs xd . It was funny...and freaky...but not scary..
And why was it Sarah M Gellar? <<
So..discusses the: arrow The Grudge..did it scare you? arrow Movies that had promising trailers..and then weren't really that good (or scary, for that matter) arrow Japanese movie remakes

The Japanese version was scary for me. I watched the US version too, didn't like it very much. The part in the Jap version that really scared me was when the girl, Hitomi, was in the bed and Kayako was under the covers. eek

  >> I've watched Ringu.. but since I don't speak Japanese I had to put subtitles on (because there were no dubs)..and it sorta killed the mood because you had to read and watch at the same time gonk . I don't think the Japanese version of the Grudge is available here...either that or I dont' see it... <<

I didn't really like "The Grudge", but I loved Ju-on. That's the Japanese original. The cat boy was the scariest part of the movie, though, and my favorite character. I haven't seen Ringu yet, but I plan on it. I liked The Ring, so the Japanese version should be better. Originals are almost always better than the remakes.

I've never rented The Grudge, but if the Ring didn't scare you then I'd say either you're pretty brave or I'm a total wuss. xd The Ring gave me nightmares for 2 weeks...
