It seemed that there was always another one that needed to be spoken to, and the silver haired man loved it. Seeing his creations finally reaching a stage where they were considered adults in the society man kind had devloped.
He tapped the tips of his fingers together, waiting for the newest arrival. Bovidae. His was an interesting file to be sure...always changing from every growth spurt. His genes would be worth looking into ...seeing why him of the kids seemed to have this interesting quirk.
But first he had to interview the boy...then he could see.

Bovidae made sure that he was dressed nice. He had to make sure every hair was in place, everything was groomed, wrinkle free, whatever needed to be done. EVERYTHING had to be ship shape. It wasn't everyday that one met up with the head of the labs, and for Bovi, well, this was his first day.
The doors opened and he walked into the room, a smile on his face as usual. He was ready for this meeting, and he had a feeling sooner or later the question of his genetics were going to be called, and even though he knew that the labs had files on him, he brought along his own recordings that he and his adoptive mother had taken, just in case, and they were in a briefcase that he had brought along.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you Mr. Vampy," he said with a bow, waiting to see if shaking hands was an option with this man. No need to offend right off the bat, nosiree.

Mr. Vampy didn't stand to greet the male, he offered his own smile, the type of smile you had to wonder about. You could tell that smile wasn't exactly a friendly one but there wasn't anything particularly menacing about his posture. He was sitting at his desk the file on Bovidae pulled out.
Just moments before he had flipped through the charts, gleaning what he could from them the strange growth spurts the boy had gone through.
"A pleasure," He echoed seeming humoured by friendly freeting the boy gave him, he gestured to the chair in front of his desk.
Unlike some of the other spawn he had come across Bovi was one of the few he had little to no interaction with up until this meeting.
"I am sure you are wondering why I summoned you here."

Bovi sat down once the gesture was given, straightening up the wrinkles that had ended up in his clothing when he did so, as clothing always seemed to do.
"Oh, to say that I haven't would be a bold faced lie. Especially seeing as this is our first meeting," he said with light chuckle. "Not very often the head of the laboratory wishes to have a chat with you, after all."

The man nodded his head and then brushed a silver strand of hair that had fallen in front of his eyes. Currently Vampy was studying Bovidae, his appearance how he had grown since the toddler image that was taken and kept with his file.
"Yes it does seem a bit strange that I would summon you here. After all we have never met before, so what reason would I have to call you here?" He mused mostly to himself as if it were a mystery even to him.
His smile though seemed to betray that he did know why Bovi was summoned.
"You see it is my job, and I honestly can say my interest in seeing how the sp..." he gave a bit of a cough, "Children who are born from this facility. I ask them questions to see if they are happy, if there are things they wished they had done, things they regret. I want to know if you felt you had a purpose, are you torn, or do you have a residual hatred for this place?" He spread his fingers as if to indicate that the questions could keep on going but he stopped himself.
"So I shall start with the first question, are you happy with who you are?"

Bovidae nodded as he listened to Mr. Vampy speak.
"Am I happy with who I am?" he repeated before he smiled again.
"I am very happy with who I am, if I dare say so myself," he said with a nod as he laced his hands together. "No real complaints myself. I was placed in a very caring and understanding home and was raised well by the woman I consider my mother. I have a lovely girlfriend, and hope to start studying psychology soon."
Bovidae never took his eyes off of the other man. He did not want to keep talking about the other questions that Vampy had mentioned, as that would be rude, and other questions might have popped up with his answers.

Vampy nodded his head, so while there were instances of spawn children who led miserable lives it seemed that it was their genetics that played a huge part in it.
"You have changed quite a bit since you left here, physically speaking. You say you have a caring family and a girlfriend. Is it another of this facility? Or have you gone outside of the facilities gene pool for love?" He inquired quite interested.
If there had been tea he would of offered it to Bovidae, but he had forgotten to ask Almas to bring some and thus they had to be without.

Bovidae nodded and gave Vampy a sort of wistful look.
"Yes, I do seem to have some interesting genetic coding," he said with a nod. "It makes for interesting conversation to say the least, and with having pride dna, well, I rather enjoy having it pointed out." He grinned before leaning back in his chair a bit.
"Actually it is someone of the facility. Miss Ebony Dartsmore, a very kind and stunning woman. I recall her mentioning that you interviewed her as well when I said I had an appointment with you," he said, folding his hands over one of his legs.

As yes the lust and kindness girl. He knew Ebony well. Vampy leaned back into his chair admiring how Bovidae spoke and approached him. Most of the other spawn had been nervous (for good reason) angry or generally upset with the idea of having to speak with him. But this man was strong and didn't seem intimidated by him. He was annoyed and yes intrigued by this.
So by having little say in a spawns life it seemed that they were rather indifferent to him. Though he enjoyed being feared, you got more accomplished when speaking to a person who wasn't cowering in fear or throwing threats in your general vicinity.
"I know of Miss. Dartsmore, and you are lucky to have her." Vampy complimented Bovi.
"Your life seems very fulfilled, is there anything you regret in your life?"

"Indeed I am," Bovi returned with a smile. At the next question, Bovi remained silent as he thought and thought and thought. WAS there anything he regretted.
"There are..." he began to speak again, "always things a person wishes they could do over, isn't there? Mine are small, trivial things, but while I regret that I did not act in the best manner possible, I do not regret that they happened, because in making such mistakes I have grown as a person, and in the long run, made the spawn that sits before you." Bovi smiled wistfully once again.
"We all have regrets, but the only way to make any use of our shortcomings is to learn from them and do our best in the future when a similar situation comes along. If you let regrets weigh you down, you never live up to your full potential, and I, Mr. Vampy, do plan on living up to mine."

He had to admit that Bovidae was probably one of the most sound spawn to have come to him. It was hard to undermine his thoughts to have him react in a manner which he could possible work it to his advantage. So he only gave the boy a small smile and shook his head.
"You are a rarity in this facility. Most of the spawn have usually done something they regret, something they wish they could undo. We have several spawn who have lost their minds and lost their homes." He gave a brief gesture as if to dismiss the subject.
"But here you are, sound of mind and a relatively solid person. It was a pleasure to meet with you Bovidae. Please come visit the facility more often."

Bovidae laughed a small sad laugh. Sadly, he knew of a few people from the labs that Vampy referred to.
"Trust me, I know I am very lucky to be in the position that I am in," he said with a nod before donning the typical Bovidae smile once again. "Oh, I hope to visit more often myself. I'd like to eventually meet more of the staff, and maybe the donors. I'm sure they all have stories to tell, and I do enjoy a good story from time to time." He smiled and leaned back in the chair a bit with a smile.
