Background: Over 2 millennia ago, Sajhiri Jihaar was an Arabic princess. Having fallen tragically in love with the protector her father assigned to her as her guardian, she fled with her paramour and spent years wandering with the Aad tribe, desert nomads, helping to heal and care for all those she came in contact with. She and Trajid were happy, until her father passed on, and her father's evil advisor, Grand Vizier Ravinde, assumed control of her Father's Sultanate.
The dark man had her and Trajid hunted down and killed, to remove the only heir who could usurp his power. Because of her compassionate deeds and true love, she ascended to the ranks of the Seraphim upon her death. There she became Sangariel, guardian of the portals to heaven. None could wander to the pearly gates for admittance without bearing her mark of acceptance upon their brow. She visited the dying in her angelic form, and kissed their brow to grant them passage.
Over the centuries she became earthbound several times on missions for the heavenly host. Most recently she has come to Gaia, settling in Barton town where she came to work in *Washu*'s Subspace Saloon, first as a singer, then as the entertainment manager. It was there she met *Washu*, who was the first to befriend the earthbound angel. The strange inventor/goddess has been her nearest and dearest friend ever since.
Also while employed there she met and fell in love with ZaineDraconis. The melancholy that often surrounded the Saloon bartender drew her to him, and she discovered he had once been a mighty dragon, and was now cursed to live out his life as a human. They are engaged to be wed.
Sajhiri also discovered that she and *Washu* had fey ancestry, when they wandered to a strange tower, and in it crossed to Tir Nan Og via a long dormant faerie ring. Once there, the pair freed children of the Forest Court (Silva Regia) from a millennia-long curse, where they were trapped within stained glass windows. Since this time, Sajhiri has made finding the blood relatives of the other cursed children, who's willingness to give part of their soul and life essence is the only way to free them, her highest goal.
In the course of her time on Gaia, she has fostered many pets and other beings, including several who are considered her adopted children... her twin Aduthule charges Saevire and Sedare, who recently merged into one being named Saedare, King Cervus of the Silva Regia, a raven turned child named Telenna, a child Empress who emerged from a Tarot card, and a pair of Feien fairies by the names of Averno and Arae.
Among the rest of her menagerie are a ghostly boy named Escalus, the Sphinx of legend, a Cait Siobhan named Maleficent, a Lija named Malevolence, a pair of Muadnaits - Patria and Effutio, a trio of handsome Talaye males named Caelestis, Tantillus, and Arcus, and a Delphic female called Catwoman.
She cares for all the members of her vast menagerie deeply, and when they hurt, she hurts. She has recently disappeared for days or weeks at a time, and exhibited a frightening demonic side which was witnessed secretly by Averno, her Feien fairy. Averno discovered that Sajhiri's dark side was suppressing her light side by the aid of another of the woman's fey ancestors, Majestrix Nox, evil ruler of the hidden Moon Court of the Silva Regia.
Who knows where her life is headed, but she had been desperately wishing for a biological child for some time. She and Zaine even applied at the Gaian Maternity and Fertility Clinic which resulted in her conceiving...only not with her fiance! She and *Washu* are now the mothers of a darling little girl, Rebecca.
Rebecca received a strange summons from Karma and found herself the new guardian of a baby lamb of the Bighorn sheep variet. She named the little fellow Dodge, in honor of her truck.
