Personality: Tetsunosuke considers himself indifferent from everyone else. His number one personality flaw is he can't back down from an argument. He thinks he has to have the last word in everything. Tetsunosuke used to be loyal to a fault, but recent events has caused him to become withdrawn from other Captain, including the Captain-Commander. When he is to do battle against a foe, he tries to not draw out the fight and end it as soon as possible; for he doesn't like fighting very much when it's not necessary. He'll often underestimate the opponent and end up doing something he later regrets. Tetsunosuke can also be lazy at times, but not slothful. He'll often argue with himself about things, and has a horrible time making a decision and also second guesses himself. He can also be very contradicting; for example: he loves snow, but he hates the cold weather and the mud it leaves behind when it melts. He loves eating, but he doesn't like the weight gain it causes. Tetsunosuke is also very bold, he won't back down from ANYTHING. But he isn't hot headed or thinks he can do something he might not be able to do; he just isn't afraid. Tetsunosuke can come off as commanding and rude; he yearns for respect. If he respects you, he wants it in return, but if he doesn't respect you, he doesn't expect much. He is a very clean person, and always enjoys having clean a Shihakushō. After Kurihara Kyoshiro's death Tetsu has taken up a sense of justice.
Bio: When Tetsunosuke was alive in the Human World, he was an author of poetry. He lived around the late 19th Century. He was quiet the romancer some say. He grew up a normal life for the most part, but could almost always tell that something was out of place at a funeral of someone whose soul wasn't ready to pass on. He often thought he saw faint human figures by the coffin's of the graves and sometimes heard whispers and screams. Sometimes fighting and other unexplainable noises that were also indescribable.

He became a traveling poet and would resit his poetry to the royals or higher class people who would pay graciously for his performances. (though born in Japan, he was able to leave there when he turned 19 on a small boat) He was good at learning the different languages as he went along his journey. Though, during his time of travels, he managed to some how get in the cross fire of the French's invasion into Russia and was gunned down mistakenly as an enemy.

After his death, he went to Soul Society where he always felt hungry. Though this was nothing new since he felt hungry a lot in the human world. Though it was a different hunger he could never quench. After being in the Rukongai, west 1st for some while. And then, after learning more about Shinigami and what they did, he opted to try and join them. After a few years of going to the Shinōreijutsuin, he finally graduated with average to somewhat below average scores in Kidō but was pretty talented in Kendo.

Only being Lieutenant of the First Division for a small time period, he was promoted by Hakase Yuki, to the position of Captain of Sixth Division. He is still unsure if he is cut out for the job, but, he intends to do his best for his sake.

After gaining a Lieutenant and training him for a year, Tetsu grew very close to Kurihara Kyoshiro. They would often train for long periods of time together, honing each others skills. When Kyo was promoted to Captaincy, it came as a shock to Tetsunosuke, at first he was against it, he knew his Lieutenant could handle the task at hand, but there was a lot left he wanted to teach him.

After losing to the Sephira and were forced to retreat, Tetsunosuke had to say good bye to his good friend, Kyo, whom had been taken over by his inner vampire and was forced to do the unspeakable to his comrades. Kyo stayed behind as a means to an end. Tetsunosuke's unsure how Kyo's last few minutes of life played out, but he will be forever missed by Tetsunosuke. Once retreating to Hibiki's Safe House in the human world, Tetsunosuke was elected to become a Vizard, being one to follow orders, Tetsunosuke has to become a Vizard under Yuki's demands. He is unsure how all of this will play out, having small knowledge of what happens to one once they become Vizard, Tetsunosuke walks the blind road toward this taboo.

Shikai Appearance: [here] Sakuzen Kosshi's blade's color stays the same. The two tasseled strings up top are black threaded, along with the ones at the bottom. The pole is surrounded by a cloth like substances that's a very deep dark gray. Standing side-by-side, Sakuzen Kosshi is five feet and five inches.
Shikai Command: "Rise Up to Life, Sakuzen Kosshi"
Shikai Abilities:

  • Rotting Flesh:
    Type: Passive/Area Affect/Activated
    When Sakuzen Kosshi is released into it's Shikai state, a putrid smell is released. The target(s) in the surrounding vicinity (about the size of a football field) who smell it will become ridden with a headache the entire time they're fighting with the wielder. If the opposition is weak stomached, then they'll more then likely vomit. Of course, the wielder is immune and anyone the wielder chooses to be.

  • Dead Man Walking:
    Type: Bodily Affect
    When Sakuzen Kosshi has cut a target, the flesh of the area around the wound(s) begin to decay and rot off the bone. Though this action isn't instantaneous*.

  • Call of the Dead:
    Type: Offensive/Defensive/Activated
    The wielder of Sakuzen Kosshi is able to form pure bone mineral out of reishi that is found in any sort of inanimate object. The process of breaking down and converting the minerals needed into something pliable is on a microscopic level and the quickness is daunting. The bones that are formed are more dense and harder than average human or spiritual being bones. The Offensive capabilities are similar to the defensive, but any sort of bone can be formed to create an attack through the wielder's own choosing.

  • Bone Crusher:
    Type: Offensive/Activated
    When the wielder can condense and reform the reishi in the air into three foot long duel tipped bones; that are sent at a target as a projectile attack. The amount vary on the Reiryoku and other factors. These bones are 10% weaker then Call of the Dead's bones due to not being formed the same.

  • Katana ni Kama (刀に鎌, Scythe to Sword) is an ability that will change Sakuzen Kosshi into a sword when Tetsu wishes. In Shikai, the shape of the sword is similar to the unreleased form, but the blade plus handle are the same length as the Shikai released scythe.

Bankai Appearance: [looks the same as the Shikai but becomes double bladed] When Bankai is released, Sakuzen Kosshi's scythe gains another blade on the opposite end but is smaller; the blade is also facing the opposite way. The main blade grows about six inches. The pole grows another eight inches. The wielder dawns a hooded cloak that has some special properties. An accompany of chains are housed inside the cloak and around the body of the wielder. Though they don't make much of a rattling noise.
Extended Name: Akogare Sakuzen Kosshi
Bankai Abilities: (Minor abilities/nameless): The pain the user of Akogare Sakuzen Kosshi receives during Bankai is reduced by half. Which is due to the zombification of the body. Due to the Zombification, the muscles are no longer restricted and can be used to their maximum potential, though the muscle fiber is not destroyed in any manner. When Bankai is establish, the wielder no longer needs to breath, though oxygen is somehow maintain pumping through the brain. [Physical Strength - Strength/Endurance are raised by 3 point, thus 13/10 without Vizard Mask, 15/10 with Vizard Mask. Agility - Speed/Hohō are raised by 1 point, thus 14/10 without Mask 15/10 with Mask.]


  • Levitation:
    Type: Passive
    When released and the cloak forms, the wielder gains the power levitate and fly. Since introduction of Tetsunosuke's bankai, he's been able to master this technique. The cloak is able to form reishi all around itself, being able to shunpo into any direction. The Cloak also uses the Air Walk technique to Levitate.

  • Bondage:
    Type: Offensive/Defensive
    The chain the user has in their cloak can be used as a whip or can be warped around the target. The chain weights approximately 25lbs PER LINK. But to the wielder of Sakuzen Kosshi, the weight is nothing. Each chain link has a spiked part to it. The chain is strong enough to withstand a Gran Rey Cero blast form an Arrancar. When the users uses this chain, it does not pierce their skin. The user can create more out of Reishi when needed.

  • Zombification:
    Type: Passive/Bodily Affect
    When Sakuzen Kosshi is released into Bankai, the wielder's body instantly starts dying. Their internal organs stop working and all wounds received before entering Bankai cease to bleed*. Also with this ability, if the wielder of Sakuzen Kosshi is dismembered in any way (beside decapitation) the wielder only needs to reattach the ligament for it to start working properly.
    *but once the wielder comes out of Bankai, their wounds start bleeding


  • Grave Keeper:
    Type: Reishi Alternation/Mental Command
    The wielder can form any sort of inanimate material into an undead (zombified) minion. The minion will act to the wielder's commands, either verbal or mental. Flies that are the same as the ones in the wielders cloak will spew from the open flesh when one is cut open and have the same affects as the Beelzebub technique. Any body part can also be made from this technique, essentially allowing the wielder to make new arm or leg if one is lose. Any sort of animal can be made and they share the same strength as the wielder. The wielder can only have a limit of 5 minions at a time.
    • Each creature has Physical Strength 10/10.


    • Body Parts:
      Type: Reishi Alternation/Mental Command
      If the wielder's arm, legs, or even half of the body is decimated, they can use the Grave Keeper technique and fuse with that. As long as the brain and brain stem remain intact, they can still reattach themselves to a body. And when they exit Bankai, it'll appear like their normal body part and function the same. This technique requires a fair amount of Reiryoku.

    • Beelzebub:
      Type: Offensive/Bodily Affect
      A unique breed of fly lives inside of the users Bankai cloak when the Zanpakuto is released. This fly's pincers are made of a special kind of reiryoku, where the reiryoku is spinning at such a high frequency, the pincers are capable of slicing through any armor for a brief for seconds, during the gap, the fly uses a stinger at the end of it's mouth to inject a poison that reduces the oppositions basic abilities. The bugs fly at a normal speed and reflect the same Reiatsu resistances as the users.
      • [Can bypass any Armor or Hierro level. The poison weakens Agility and Physical Strength by 2 stat points. (*Last for 2 post; 4 post immunity/cool down after infection.)


    • Suicide:
      Type: Reishi Alternation/Mental Command
      With either using a body part of themselves or the bugs, or minions, the user is able to have the Reishi act abnormally in the object and explode.

  • Stroke of Death:
    Type: Bodily Affect
    When the blade part of the Scythe cuts into the flesh of the enemy, that area begins to decay and rot off the bone*. Fly larva will eventually start to produce and come from within the wound**. After the fly larva, the effect will spread through out the body unless it is cut from them***. But in order for that to happen, the must get all of the infected area.

  • Call of the Dead:
    Type: Offensive/Defensive/Activated
    The wielder of Sakuzen Kosshi is able to form pure bone mineral out of reishi that is found in any sort of inanimate object.   • Katana ni Kama (刀に鎌, Scythe to Sword) is an ability that will change Sakuzen Kosshi into a sword when Tetsu wishes. In Bankai, the sword gains an additional blade at the opposite end, which is smaller than the other blade: this is homage to the Bankai release where there are two scythe heads on the Bankai scythe. The Bankai sword is the same height as the Bankai scythe; as well the sword is sharp on both sides and doesn't curve.

Other Powers and Abilities

  • Dual-Type Immense Reiatsu: Ever since under going Hollowfication, Tetsunosuke's Reiatsu has took on different characteristics. While he is unmasked, the standard Lighter Azure Blue hue stays with his outwardly visible Reiatsu. While Masked, it takes on a Purple shade: possibly referring to the combination of him using his Hollow and Shinigami abilities, or an indication of something else (purple also stands for friendship, rage, wisdom, and/or sympathy; to name a few). But that is not the only change to his Reiatsu. When released, an ominous feeling of death feels as though it's lurking everywhere his Reiatsu reaches; sending chills up any spines and goosebumps - it's not a feeling of fear that the opposition feels, but of pure death, as though if someone who just died was right next to them. Death lings in the air when the reiatsu is felt.

  • Enhanced Durability: While not being one to enjoy pain, and when all else fails, Tetsunosuke usually has a good resistance to injuries. He tries his utmost to avoid getting hurt, and will usually block with everything he has. Though in Bankai, he is usually more blunt with his approach.

  • Enhanced Endurance: Being a former traveler, helps with endurance. Even though he may be lazy at times, it doesn't mean that Tetsu doesn't exercise.

  • Immense Strength: His body is very muscular, though he isn't to large. He is very strong and uses his strength to a good extent of his attacks.

  • Keen Intellect & Wisdom: Tetsu is smart, he is not the smartest. What he lacks in intellect, he uses common sense to make up for. He can often deduce an enemy's method of attack just be sheer guessing or thinking like how the enemy would.

  • Hohō Experts:

  • Flexibility: Tetsunosuke has be conditioning his body to move in ways that would look like they would hurt to any normal person, but to Tetsu, this has become an easy and normal chore. His range of movement is a key factor in his new Sword style. So learning how to be flexible has become mandatory. He can do virtually any sort of split known humanly possible.

  • Master Swordsmanship Specialist: Being the Captain of the Sixth Division as caused him to sharpen his Swordsmanship to the highest degrees imaginable. Though not being the strongest with a sword, he is well versed with it. Being a scythe wielder is also his other expertise.

  • Fushi Kenjutsu (不死 剣術, undead art of the sword) Is a sword style Tetsunosuke developed on his own. It implores flexibility of the body, along with fast unpredictable strikes. Along with flexibility comes better evasive to counter moves. This leads Fushi Kenjutsu into a field of unpredictability toppled with strikes that are fast and hard.

    • Hone Ken(骨剣, Bone Blade) Tetsunosuke has gain a lot of control over Sakuzen Kosshi, so along with that has come abilities he'd never thought possible. While sealed, Sakuzen Kosshi can be charged with Tetsunosuke's reiryoku to form a hard outer shell of bone. Much like Tetsu's released techniques, this bone carriers much of the same characteristics. The cutting edge of Sakuzen Kosshi is morphed onto both sides of the blade(essentially become a double sided blade), and it looses it's curve. The hilt and everything else stays the same, only the blade is changed.

    • Hone Enchō (骨延長, Bone Extension) Is an ability that extends the blade to a maximum of 10 yards, and travels as fast as 70MPH. Though, the longer the bone gets, the weaker it becomes, and is more acceptable to breaking. Though, on benefit is the user can force break the bone at any point during extension so that they are not stuck with wielding a tower when an opponent decides to close the distance between them.

      • Gizagiza Hone(ぎざぎざ骨, Serrated Bone) Just like the name of the ability, the boned blade can become serrated at will, the serration can become whatever depth the user desires (up to two inches). This can be used along side of Hone Enchō.

    • Fushi Danketsu(不死 団結, Undead Union) The Spirit of Sakuzen Kosshi takes partial control of Tetsunosuke's body. While his voice and other characteristic may sound the same, Sakuzen Kosshi is moving Tetsunosuke body like a puppeteer. This allows Tetsu to have a fighting style totally different even from Fushi Kenjutsu, though still very similar. Sakuzen Kosshi may even contort the body into doing a very absurd and painfully looking of position, while to the body no discomfort is felt. (2 post long with 2 post cool down)

~Modifications~
  • The Left Eye of God/Eye Mapping:
With the left eye, the user of the eye can map out an area of 9,361,791 square miles (24,247,039 square km) (The size of the USA) and is able to see any living creature or object that is present in this square radius (even if Kidō is in play or Arrancar abilities). This is done by the eye's ability to map out the area of Reishi and atoms (protons, neutrons, electrons, etc.) in the radius given above. The eye is then able to break down this information to determine if the detected object is living (human, trees, animals, etc.) spirit (soul, Hollow, Shinigami,Vizard, Arrancar, etc.), or inanimate (rocks, cars, planes, vending machines, buildings, etc.). To the user, it appears as though they are seeing object as if they were in front of them and was tangible. During the activation of the eye, the user is unable to see carnally from said eye.
  • Mithril Thread:The users Shihakushō (shitagi, kosode, hakama, hakama-himo, tabi, even waraji, plus the haori-if one is present) has this Mithril threading intertwined into the users Shihakushō (about 65% of it is pure Mithril), to add extra protection and reduce the weight of the clothing.

Hollowfication Abilities and Enhancements

    B-Class
    • Points: +40
    • Duration of Mask: 4 Post (+4 if Reiryoku for Bankai release is used)


Vizard Mask: Tetsunosuke's Mask will protect him from attacks done to his face. It is very strong to sharp, blunt, and Reiryoku based attacks. When he speaks, the voice of his inner Hollow speaks simultaneously causing his voice to echo. His Mask is very unsymmetrical; the left side has spikes protruding forward and one off from the cheek. While the right is more cleaner looking with the spikes shifting upward and away from the mask, coming out and up about a quarter of the way away from the tip of the mask. The chin has two similar spikes protruding from the bottom similar to the right. The mask has teeth that has four canines on top and bottom, with the top covering over the bottoms. A black design covers the mask, and is different according to each side. Tetsunosuke's hair is usually pushed up and away from the mask, allowing the entire mask to be visible. He'll move either his left or right hand up to his face to summon the mask - he moves his thumb and middle finger to his temples and slides them to his nose(still not sure about this) - causing purple colored Reishi to form into the mask.

  • Ability Augmentation/Alteration: When Tetsunosuke dawns his Vizard Mask, he gains augmented abilities that would otherwise never be capable without using his mask. Kidō is no longer usable while the mask is dawned; in contrast, Hollow techniques take their stead.

    • Physical Strength Augmentation: Tetsunosuke's strength is the most to be raised while he is using the Mask.

Cero (虚閃 (セロ), sero; Spanish for "Zero," Japanese for "Hollow Flash,")
  • Description
    This technique is an energy blast, it consists of firing a blast of concentrated spirit energy at the target. They are typically red in color, but the color may vary between Vizard.
    • Can damage those with a 6/10 in Armor and Hierro.

Gemelos Sonído (双児響転 (ヘメロス・ソニード), Hemerosu Sonīdo; Spanish for "Sound Twins", Japanese for "Twins Sound Ceremony")
  • Description
    Allows the user to create clone-like afterimages of his or herself by increasing the speed of their Sonído a little. Up to five clones can be created using this technique.
