Weyard grimaced but nodded at the male's attempt to help her. "I'm fine, but thank you. You've done plenty getting me here, I don't feel any worse, that's for sure. I don't want to make trouble for you is all." An uncontrollable yawn interrupted her. "Just...if I get in the way, tell me." She might be weak and battered, but she still had the strength to switch dens. Or she would after a bit more sleep.

She nodded and even smiled at his offer of more food. She was being pampered! It was a strange sensation. She'd almost forgotten life before Tariq, how females weren't always inferior. This male was going a long way to making her feel like a queen. A dirty, incapacitated queen, but a queen none the less.

"I'll take you up on that offer, as long as it's no trouble. I'm an outsider, I don't want to disadvantage anyone else in the pride." Especially Pyke. He'd already taken her to safety and had her healed. He'd fed her and offered her his den. What a strange pride this must be. No, no. It had been Tariq's that had been strange. Hadn't she once lived in a pride where everyone looked after each other, and both males and females held power? This reminded her of that. It reminded her of home.

Pyke smiles watching her yawning "Sleep now, I'll have some food here for when you wake up." He settles his head on his paws watching the lioness quietly, his butt still absorbing the sun where he lay in the mouth of the den.

"You aren't causing any trouble, I promise. You should rest and we'll talk more later," He sighs lightly, a sort of happy little sigh rolling over his lips. Pehraps she would stay, perhaps she would leave, but until either of those things happened he would protect her and feed her and treat her as a lady, the way he had been raised. he couldn't help it, she needed his help and the teachings of his past pulled out his old ways.

He closes his soft purple eyes a smile gracing his maw. He was feeling very pleased with himself, he had helped a female and though he had fallen in to some old habits, he hadn't completely fallen in to them. She was his equal, he was her equal, she just needed his care and protection right now and he would provide it in the only way he knew how, treat ehr as a queen, pamper her and care for her until she was well once again.
