Ever since he had run into Jamii, and they had made their bet, it was all Jasiri could think about. He didn't want to pick the wrong woman, he couldn't show up with an unattractive cub. Or a wacky seer cub. Or a cub who couldn't continue his glorious lineage.
The whole bet thing was already proving to be more then he had expected it to be, which was not something Jasiri was a fan of. Jasiri was a fan of women. Not hard work. Of course, the bet meant women, but it also meant cubs.
That hadn't really been something he'd considered when he'd made the bet. He sighed. He'd have to practice his sweet talking if he wanted to catch the right lady.
All the while, through his whole mental dialogue, Jasiri was lounging beside a small watering hole, in wait of a woman to hit on.

 Mani had been walking a lot today, as per usual. She was always on the move. Not because of being run out of her den, or having no home. Didn't really involve food running out either. Look hard enough, and there is food everywhere. Just, might be smaller than you'd like. But, the dark coloured cheetah traveled because her feet wanted to travel. It was nice feeling softer dirt between her toes. Hot rocks tend to hurt after awhile.
Mani admitted to herself that she should look for some water. She'd been walking for such a long time, and her throat was a tad dry. Thankfully enough, upon seeing some rather lush grass, Mani knew that she wasn't too far from a water source. It also sort of helped that as she drew near, the cheetah managed to smell the water interacting and making that pleasant scent on the dirt.

Thankfully, Jasiri was not so fully involved in thinking about his bet that he didn't notice the approach of a lovely looking leopardess.
He grinned. He knew waiting around at a watering hole was the best way to find women.
However, Jasiri decided to wait until she noticed him, rather then startle her by speaking before she had even settled in for a drink.
Of course he wasn't going to stare at her until she noticed, that would probably end in her calling him a creep and leaving as fast as possible. No, instead he would pretend to be wrapped up in lazily drinking from the watering hole, which was really what he had been doing anyway.

Mani ended up getting her feet wet, as she got a well deserved drink. It wasn't until she had some water that the discovered how thirsty she'd been. Perhaps part of that was imparted by her dark colouration. However, the water felt quite nice on her front paws. The water was nice and cool, in contrast to how sore and hot her feet felt. the slight mush of the mud under he feet helped as well. Even if it did feel kind of funny.
As Mani slowed he drinking, she lazily looked around. This ranged from what she could see in the water, to the tall grass, to the lion.. Wait. Lion? Her black tail curled. Mani wasn't used to being so close to a lion before. But, he didn't seem to be offensive, since, he hadn't attacked her. Perhaps he was a nice lion.

Jasiri noticed that the leopardess seemed to be nervous about his presence. Perhaps she thought that he was one of those lions that hated other species and would attack a leopard such as herself. He sighed. Why did people always have to go and ruin things for him?
"Hello there, I'm Jasiri, you seem a little uncomfortable. Frightened even. Which is not something a pretty lady such as yourself should be." He winked at her and stretched out a little, studying the leopardess a little more. "I won't bother you, unless you want me to of course." Another wink.

Mani raised her head, and looked at the lion speaking to her. " I am Mani. I'm sorry, I shouldn't always expect to be attacked. I apologize if I've offended you that way. " The cheetah couldn't help but smile alittle from the compliment. Although, the smooth tone and gestures from the lion, seemed to make her smile too. Did he male really mean it? ..Or, was he merely setting her up for a prank? Perhaps, but, his tone didn't sound it. " ..It's alright. I've been alone for awhile, and it would be nice to have some company. "

Satisfied that she had decided to stay, Jasiri wanted to ask he a few questions. "No worries Mani, might I ask you something? I've never met any other species other then lions really, are you a leopard or a cheetah? I hope I don't come off as ignorant, but to me, it doesn't matter much, because either way you're just as beautiful."
Jasiri winked at her again, hoping that his compliment would cover up his ignorance. But at least he would find out what she was, though his guess was leopard. He really had no idea in the end.

Under that black fur on her cheeks, Mani was blushing. Although granted, she felt like her entire face was warm. As if the sun burnt her face someone. " It's alright, Jasiri. It's rather understandable. I'm a cheetah. " Is this what it was like to get complimented? In such an honest tone, she couldn't believe it. " ..You're very sweet. "

A cheetah. Okay. He'd keep that in mind for the next one he came across. He smiled, glad that that was over with. Then he realized that this... cheetah. Cheetah, was not used to being complimented. Good. That meant easy work for him.
"Miss Mani, if you say I am sweet then it must be so, for a beauty such as yourself could not tell a lie, I refuse to believe it!"

Mani giggled girlishly. She couldn't really help it at all. Jasiri's words just kept making her happier. It sort of made her wish that more males would compliment her. Perhaps, that was her inner girlyness showing through. Mani's tail curled around one of her feet, " I don't lie. It's not very nice, and tends to hurt others. " Today was indeed a good day for her feet to have led her here. If was nice to encounter someone who honestly thought of her as pretty and beautiful.

Jasiri enjoyed the fact that he was visibly making the female cheetah happy. Mostly because it meant an ego boost for him and his charming skills, but also because he was making someone feel good. Not that he'd ever tell Jamii that, and he told Jamii pretty much everything. Woman related anyway.
"I'm glad to hear it. Perhaps you will tell me what I've done to be so lucky as to be graced with the presence of your beauty? Or have I truly just lucked out and we met here out of pure coincidence?"

" I suppose, lucky coincidence. " Mani smiled warmly. " I am a bit of a traveler. I spend my days being guided from one place to another by my feet. " Which was true enough. She traveled alot, and along the way had met a few others. Leopards, Hybrids, and a cub-like Lioness. At any given day, she could be miles away from where she last was. Though given enough time, she'll return to the same area. " It's fun but, it can get rather lonesome. "

Jasiri nodded, he knew full well what it was like, because he was just the same, always traveling, never really staying in one place for long, meeting new people, though mostly other lions.
"I am also quite the travel, but I suppose most who live in the rogue lands are, yet what I can't seem to fathom is how one so charmingly attractive as yourself could ever get lonely. Do you not have a mate? Or even a lover?"

Ah, a sensitive subject that was. Though the smile never wavered from her face. " No, I have no one to call my own. " Yet, anyhow. Perhaps it was a feeble dream, but the cheetah knew her was out there somewhere. Perhaps that is why her feet carried her everywhere. Trying to find that special someone. " You seem to be on your own as well, Jasiri. Do you have mate? " She'd hoped that she wasn't intruding by asking that.

Jasiri paused for a moment considering his options. At the moment he didn't intend to take his sweet talking full swing, so he wouldn't feed her a pity story about a dead mate. Yet he also didn't want to seem like it upset him to not have one.
"Well, no. I suppose that is the way I was raised though, to be alone. I rather enjoy being free to roam as I wish. How else would I be able to meet such a lovely lady as yourself?" Jasiri smiled at her, hoping she wouldn't think him sleazy.
