Joey sighed as he looked around the Port City of Priyal he disliked busy places. However, this place was a necessary he was in the market for something. Joey wasn't quite sure what it was but going back home was not an option. His eye twinged a little when he thought of Sundarii and Iah. The two of them bicker so much that they always turn to him for backing. Joey sighed and looked around as he walked "what am I doing here" he mumbled to himself. He scratched his head as he stopped at a stand close to the beach. Through all of his worries he was missing the nice day they were having. It was a perfect day for trading the ocean breeze, not overly crowded, all and all it was a lovely day.

#00CCFF Xazal sighed as he walked around the marketplace. He really didn't want to do food shopping, any kind of shopping at that. But being the only male he was outnumbered. "ugh women, why must they be so hard to deal with?" Taking out the shopping list he groaned as he tried to read the different handwrittens. "what the... How am I supposed to know what "that red fruit is?" Tearing up the list Xazal made his way to the beach. Its such a good day anyways and they were not expecting him back for a while.

Joey's eyes narrowed on a charm it resembled a snowflake, not really the pattern of a snowflake. It was just to intricate in detail that his eyes had drawn to it. It was a pair one that didn't have the same design but when they were placed together they linked. It was a lovely song the necklaces played when they were linked. The clearly clouded color of murky crystals made him smile as if he heard and seen them before. It was a murky blue something that you would see at the bottom of an ocean. The color of this depth was only seen in certain parts causing it to be clear towards the edges but dark in the middle. "Corbin would love this" he smiled thinking about his younger brother. He looked for the merchant it was an old woman with a crocked smile. He was taken a back by it and the woman could see. "Do you like?" she asked in an accent that was unfamiliar to him and she nodded with a softer smile. She could see her valuable customer was warming up a bit. She couldn't afford to lose any she had to few. Currently this was her only one of the day many did not pass to her. Joey nodded "yes,I, am, how much?" his hands ran over the two crystals ever so lightly. He couldn't help but follow all the patterns and reflections of the gems. The woman smiled and nodded telling him the price of the linked necklaces. Her customer paid the ransom of the treasures she wanted. Smiled and hobbled off behind her little stand and grabbed something it was a satchel and within it was this lovely box. "You like this they go together" she smiled and handed to her weary customer. Joey hesitated but the woman looked persistent and only coming back with something for Corbin would be rude. He took it and before he could ask the price. The woman kicked something it clunked and the stand started to move and she pushed it along. He started to speak again but stopped himself "strange place we live in" he shrugged and head to the beach. As he headed toward the beach he was placing one of the necklaces around his neck under the scarf. His eye caught on the charm of another's belt. It caught his eyes he couldn't explain why but it did. He looked to find the face of the one who had such a charm. He stood there his arms around his neck trying to tie the charm. He was looking into a pair of blue eyes owned by a dark haired man in very dark clothing.

Feeling eyes on him Xazal turn to look into a pair of red eyes belong to a young man about his size. Xazal closed his eyes for a few minutes sighing he opened them hoping the man wasn't still there staring at him. "Do I have something on my face?" Sucking in a breath Xazal thought for a moment. His attitude and rudeness to others is one of the things that his roomates were trying to make him change about himself. He did promise them that he would try to be a little more nicer to people. What a good way to try then on a stranger. Pulling his hand out Xazal smiled at the young man. "I'm so sorry forgive me for that, I don't know where that came from. I'm Xazal and you are?"

Joey realized he was staring and quickly looked away but it was far to late the man had noticed. He fidgeting slightly almost chocking himself with his own necklace. Under his scarf you could slightly see a collar around his neck for a moment. When Joey took hold of his scarf the collar was hidden once more. He shook his head "no you do not, my apologies" he had such a soft voice very gentle. Joey looked away slightly and turned to walk away when the young man spoke once more. The man stated his name "oh..." his eyes shifted and never catching the mans gaze again. "I am joey it is a pleasure to meet you" he bowed slightly and gracefully.

Xazal sighed. The last thing he wanted was to make another person scared of him. Thats what his roomate was there for. Besides he needed to start making friends than enemies. Xazal calmly walks to Joey. "Joey I'm sorry if I scared you, I'm was kinda having a bad day." notices the necklace that Joey was wearing. "That is a very nice necklace you got there. I'm a big fan of necklaces and charms"

Joey smiled and nodded making sure to keep somewhat of a distance away. Though Xazal apologized it doesn't necessarily mean he means it. "No it is quite alright I am fine really" he was never good with people and the type Xazal was he was particularly bad with. Joey smiled widely thining of the necalce with its erily familuar shae and song it played within its linked coils. The curls witin the star patterns that interwined each other and the colors made it wonderful. "Oh thank you I picked it up at that stand over there" he pointed behind him. Joey noticed he was pointing at nothing he blushed slightly. "Umm there was a stand behind me but she moved on...... You...Know... those.... moving stands" he chuckled nervously.

Xazal couldn't believe it, why do I always meet the crazy ones? He thought to himself as he thought of what to say to the young man. "Listen Joey are alright? Did you come hwere with someone? Do you need help finding your way back?" Xazal meant to say it in a nice friendly way but the way he was saying it syllable by syllable it was as if he was talking to a slow person. Maybe I should help the poor fellow out, maybe he's a crazy confused person who needs psychological help. Maybe I should a police man or somebody else to help the young man out who knows what he could do. Xazal didn't know what to do. People like Joey are the reason I keep to myself and act the way I do. "Everythings gonna be alright Joey."

Joey looked at Xazal and was slightly dumbfounded by the way he was speaking to him. Joey took a deep breathe and smiled as nicely as he could. Though Joey was angry he had no intention of showing it to Xazal that he was angry. He just smiled and waved his hands "no....no...no I am quite fine sir." He took a step back he was trying to think of an good excuse to excuse himself "no, sorry, it is just the heat I have been in the sun tooo long. I am just going to move out of the heat so sorry for any problems that I caused you." He smiled and bowed gracefully and backed up slowly to only run into a cart. He turned around quickly apologizing as he helped the owner pick up their things.

"pfff" Xazal started to laugh. The sight of Cart owner fallen down with his belongs was a funny thing to him."Man that has to be the second most funny thing today."Xazal couldn't stop laughing"It almost topped the most funny moment. If the old man had cryed it would have topped it." Pointing at the cart owner Xazal started to relive the morning he had. He remembered his roommate Amarante passing by with some hot soup and him sticking his feet out. What topped the cake for him was when her face fell into the soup and she started to cry."Man I think me and you are gonna be good friends at first I thought you was a punk, to tell you the truth I was gonna beat u up and rob you. But I can't do it now."Going up to the cart owner Sazal pushed his cart back down to the floor."Come on lets ditch this loser."

Joey's eyes widened in horror the only thought that went through his head is that I just met the biggest jerk in my life. Sundarii was bad but he had some good points and Kare smoked and drank to much but that was a minor thing she made sure not to cause anybody any problems. "You..were...going...to..rob..me" he couldn't understand why a person would say that. "Have you lost your..." before he could finish the sentence before Xazal knocked the stand over. He was completely horrified and frozen. Then He turned to apologize and helped the man with his things offering to pay if he could for anything broken. As he was picking things up he glared at Xazal thinking what an a*****e. Though he was thinking it he would never say it out loud.

Still laughing Xazal watched as Joey helped the man with his cart."I'm not gonna rob you no more, your fun to be with. Lets do some more damage somewhere else."Xazal tapped his chin as he thought of what they could do. "We could go to my place and beat up on my roommate, the broads so dense.... Where you staying at? What your family like?"You know you really don't have to help the old man out let him put his cart back together hisself"

Joey was shocked at what he was hearing Xazal sounded so proud of himself that he would no longer rob him. He felt no remorse for thinking it. As Joey picked up the last thing he was going to hand it to the cart owner but he had ran off with his cart dropping things along the way. Though surrounded by people he felt alone and that scared him. No terrified him because he wasn't alone Xazal was there and he feared this man was his punishment. Touching the collar through the collar through the scarf he touched the collar. A collar that meant he was to be owned and never a free man to pay for his crimes. His dark past full of blood, crime, hatred came to his mind as if it were yesterday. Nevertheless, that was the past and the present was Xazal and it wasn't a good omen to him. He was so wrapped up in his past that he wasn't focusing well on his present. He was frozen and scarred and his face showed it. With his back to Xazal he was wondering if he wanted to run it would be now. Without hesitation Joey took off not knowing if he could out run Xazal or not but he had to try.

Man this day is going great. Xazal couldn't believe that a day of boring food shopping would turn into a great day like this. Xazal was about to go over to Joey and lead him to his place when Joey took off running. Xazal sighed and turned and went to sit over on a nearby bench. He wasn't gonna chase Joey Oh no, Joey would be back. Xazal putted his hands in his pocket and took out the necklace that had belong to Joey. Being the good pickpocket that he was he had no trouble taking it off of Joey's neck without him knowing. "I can't believe he had the nerve to run away from me." Xazal putted the necklace back around his neck and layed down in the bench his hands behind his head looking up at the sky. "I guess I'll just wait for him to come back."

Joey didn't know for how long he was running but when he did stop everything felt like a bad dream. He rested his arm against the side of a building then turned onto his back. Sliding down the wall he was trying to catch his breath. As he sat on the floor he looked over at the satchel attached to his waist. His breathing was still erratic and he went to open the satchel. Joey finally calmed down and as he began to open the box he noticed the necklace was gone. He felt around for the one for Corbin and it was there tied in the velvet bag. He shoved the box back into the satchel and dragged himself back to his feet.
He walked out from the ally and looked around trying to find out where he was. He walked out holding the bag terrified about the idea of looking for Xazal. He thought about just leaving it but then the tune would be incomplete. Joey took a deep breath and walked around looking for Xazal and it didn't take long. This was a market and word travels fast and a man delighting in pain would be something to avoid. Stretched out on a bench Joey was annoyed and scared at the same time
Joey walked over to him keeping out of arms reach of Xazal or as far from he thought was safe. He took a deep breath his ears were down and back along with his heart beating loudly. "Xazal I believe you have something that belong to me and I want it back." His tone was harsh but there was a bit of shakiness to it. He took a few heavy breaths and looked around clutching the scarf making sure the satchel was behind his back.
