The full moon was nearing and there were big plans for it this time around, a group of old wandering members of the Mwezi'Johari had returned- there would be a wedding and a welcoming party for everybody, the whole pride would be there as every class was represented. Amalthea used to love the full moons, and while she still appreciated them, she couldn't help feeling slightly resentful as she continued in her slow acceptance of her place in the pride now.
She was sitting out in the bright moonlight of the nearly full moon, a couple nights before the big party was going on, staring up at the stars quietly. There wasn't much going on tonight, not for her anyway.

Akemi had been quite excited to arrive amongst all the hustle and bustle. She was learning quite a bit, and although being a so-called 'slave' was different than what she was used to, it also made her somewhat curious. Curiosity is what made her leave her birth home to begin with. So,..just why had she chosen here anyway? Common sense told her there were many other places out there left to satisfy her curiosity, but Akemi had fallen in love with the moon since she first opened her eyes as a young cub. Although it saddened her that evidently it didn't look on her with the same curiosity and wonder has kind of stung, but the young lioness was resilient. And there were other things to occupy her mind anyhow!
Akemi perked up as she saw another lioness, and she picked up her pace till she was standing beside Amalthea. "Hello~"

Amalthea was startled by the sudden appearance of the other lioness, something that happened more frequently now that she might be called upon to help with any random task a higher classed lion might have for her. She was a bit relieved when she realized it was another slave, even though she was a less familiar one. She recognized her, though. All the slaves had to be there when she was officially welcomed into the low class.
"Hello," she said, offering a small smile, "How are you doing tonight?"
