The requests just kept pouring in, eh? This had to be her third class this week alone! Still, a paying job was a job and she needed money and it wasn’t like she hated what she did. It was just tiresome at times. However, this time around, the combination of traits didn’t wholly confuse her. Gluttony wasn’t new, and neither was patience. In fact, she knew the virtue incredibly well, having lived with a kid who HAD it for well over a year. Still, it was the new blood that flowed through the spawn’s veins, whatever the hell their names were. Ary sighed and glanced up at the clock, arms folded across her chest impatiently. She was definitely not a child of patience, that was for sure.

A new day, another new class. Natalya noted as she flipped through her planner before shoving it into her stuffed messenger bag. She really really should clean that out. The preteen shook her head before looking at a clock. Oh! "I better move or I'll be late...again."

Laughing Tally grabbed a juice and left her home. By the time the labs came into view the spawn was running full force. If she wasn't careful she really was going to be late! Turning the hallways Tally checked the room number and slid inside Ary's classroom with a breath of relief. "Made it."

Ary stared as Natalya slid into her classroom right as the clock changed to the time for their lesson. "Just barely. Nice hustle, though. Name's Ary and I assume you're Natalya?" she asked slowly, still a little off from the very sudden appearance of her student.

What? It wasn't like they just suddenly appeared like that after what sounded like a herd of people running down the hallway. Then again, the hallways echoed like none other... Ugh. The acoustics in the facility seriously sucked.

"Barely but surely." Tally gave her teacher a grin and nodded at the compliment. "You assume right, Miss. Ary. You can call me Tally if you want, though if you're like my ice skating teacher- well she refuses to use nicknames."

Flushing Tally trailed off into silence before rubbing the back of her neck and looking sheepishly up at Ary, "So...what are you going to teach me?"

"Well, I like nicknames since it means less confusion in the long run. I use one because my name is just too much hassle to pronounce," Ary explained, not caring whether people preferred nicknames or not. It just happened to be easier for her when yelling at someone.

At the question of what she was going to end up teaching, a cruel smirk crossed the teachers face. "I'm going to teach you how to kick a** and, if you return, how to kill someone," she replied, appearing to be completely and utterly serious.

At least, till she started snickering. "Ah, I kid. I'm seriously going to teach you how to fight. We start by figuring out what exactly it is you want to learn and then go from there," Ary explained once she had stopped laughing. Ah, messing with people was most amusing indeed.

"Alright." Tally smiled. She found nicknames easier too, plus if someone was really mad they could use the full name instead. Like when Sabra used to yell her full name sometimes...especially when dinner went missing.

"Oh?" Tally actually tilted her head at that. Sabra would really appreciate this class then! Though she did frown slightly. Killing wasn't really her thing. Then she actually remembered her tiny frame and the spawn gave Ary a 'Are you serious?' look. Pfft. She could barely do damage to paper let alone a person.

"Seriously serious this time?" Asked Tally lightly after Ary had fessed up to her joke. Jeez, for a second there- "Wait. What I want to learn?" The preteen shrugged, "I don't really know much about fighting. So...have any ideas that suit someone like me?"

Ary paused in her amusement to look over Tally. Well... She certainly wouldn't be able to do much in relation to strength, but agility was a maybe. "Well... There's archery, if I give you the right kind of bow, or perhaps we could work on your accuracy and go with knife throwing," she suggested, frowning slightly.

"Hm... Either or, since hand to hand doesn't seem to be something you'd do well at. Unless you're really agile in which case strength doesn't matter," Ary commented, turning to look at her stash of weaponry. She was pretty sure she had a beginner bow in there somewhere for people lacking in strength...

Tally frowned. She knew that look - though she knew that truthfully she was rather on the small side. Her antenna flickered sheepishly before the preteen shook her head to focus. "Knives or archery?" She repeated thoughtfully before grinning at Ary. "Hey! I may be kinda small but skating has really helped on the agile part."

"Too bad we can't have class in a swimming pool." She added softly before smiling, "Archery will work for me I guess. I've always wondered how good I'd be with the bow and arrow."

Ary could barely contain the grin that crossed her face. "I don't have a swimming pool, but I can create an ice rink in this very room with the smoothest surface you'll ever come across," she commented, eager to do that again with her room. Sure her student hadn't liked the slick surface one bit, but it sure as hell entertained her more than it should have.

"Archery it is, then." One quick glance at the girl's arm and general measuring of strength and length, Ary was soon over at her stash of weapons pulling out a thin and elegant bow already strung and ready to go. "Here, try pulling this back. You'll probably want this too so you don't slice up your fingers," Ary said, handing it over to Tally and a sturdy leather glove before rummaging around again for some training arrows.

It was a good thing she had her archery stuff set up from her own activities, lest she spend another ten minutes setting THAT up. Varying targets in size, shape, and coloring rested along the back of her room with a few hanging like pinata's while others seemed to be made more for beginners with large bulls-eyes.

Tally's gaze went to Ary's instantly at the mention of an ice rink, "Oh?" Though she was already committed to archery the thought of having a lesson using ice made her intrigued. "Hey, if I come back here for another lesson we know what to use then." She commented with a grin.

"A-alright." Tally slipped on the glove before preparing herself to strain at pulling the bow back. Though once she did it the preteen was astonished. Somehow it wasn't as hard as she thought it would be. The elegant bow was really nice and Tally found herself admiring it before finally looking up to Ary, "Now what?"

Ary grinned back, liking Tally already. Then again, she probably would like anyone that showed some sort of interest in ice of any kind. "Aha! Well... They aren't too beat up anyways. At least they aren't sharp," she muttered, pulling out what had to be fifty arrows in a small pack that could be slung over the shoulder or around the waist.

"Ah, good, it's not too stiff for you. Here, it can be strapped around the waist or over your shoulder whichever you find easier. Now I want you to stand over here," Ary said, handing Tally the arrows and keeping one for herself, a medium-sized snow white bow in her hand. Moving over so that they were about ten feet from the nearest and largest target, the female readied the arrow and aimed for the bulls-eye.

"Keep your hands steady and relax the arm holding the arrow and string. Take all the time you need aiming by having the arrow tip block the center and, when you think you've gotten it, release the hand holding the arrow," Ary continued, holding her position long enough for Tally to mimic it before letting the arrow fly and sink into the center of the target. "And don't worry if you can't get it on the first few tries. It takes a while to get used to this and figure out the whole aiming part," she added, remembering how many times SHE missed way back when.

Grinning Tally watched her teacher pull out the arrows. Hmm. Taking the arrows Tally decided to just strap them over her shoulder. Maybe if they had been moving from the room then she would have put them around her waist - but it was just for practice now.

Watching Ary closely the patient spawn slowly mimicked the motions of holding the arrow, correcting herself every so often. Not too much of a tilt, not too tightly but not really loose at the same time, "Alright." She took a breath before letting go.

Frowning the preteen watched as the arrow only nicked the bottom of the target before it fell to the floor. "Looks like I need to work on that aiming part." She commented softly before looking back to Ary, "Should I just keep going?" Already her hands were fitting another arrow into place.

"Still, that was a good shot. At least you actually touched the target unlike some beginners that miss it entirely. Keep going and once you hit the center... Let's go with three times, I'll switch up the target," Ary explained, pondering a good number. Once could mean luck, twice meant you had skill and three was a nice solid number. If you could successfully repeat something three times, it had to be the real deal right?

"Hm... Try to aim a little over the center. An arrow doesn't always go straight along its path." Like everything else these days. Nothing ever did what it was supposed to do consistently without breaking or straying... Including people.
