Abilities: Janus is a talented healer. Being the demon of life, he uses his lifeforce to heal the wounded and the sick. He has to do this through bodily contact, which sometimes makes healing strangers difficult for him.

Background: Janus is the leader of the demons. Proud and strong, he defends his position fiercely. He gained his power through a winning battle against the former Alpha. The rules of the battle were death, but rather than killing his opponent, Janus showed mercy and allowed the Leader to live on as one of his pack members. No one is left that remebers that fight, only Janus and his former leader. The leader's possition and rank kept secret from the younger generations.

Years ago, Janus had had a brother, this brother mysteriously vanished, and to this day Janus has nightmares about him. He has long since given up the search to find him, and it was when he did, that the nightmares began.

Janus had been close to his brother, though they often fought, they were the best of friends. Janus, the elder, had allways protected his brother, and perhaps that is why he still feel guilty for his dissapearance.

Abilities: Seek is a skilled bassist. He can play quickly without missing a note. He does not play so much anymore, due to the fact that he has no band to play with, but his skills are still top shap, and he intends to keep them that way.

Background: Once quite famous as a bassist, Seek now perfers to spend his time brooding about the past. He is often seen playing his bass alone in a dark corner.

When he is not alone, Seek is with Kyo. These two have seemed to create a bond, a partnership. They delight in bothering the others around, causing trouble when they can, and if not, then they are generally bullies.

Seek is the master of insults, his words often having a bite to them even when he is not trying. He is a quick tongued demon and has been reprimanded for such many a time over.

Abilities: Lakshya, being a cobra has a very potent venom. His bites can kill if the person is given a high enough amount of it. This fact alone should be enough to scare a person away from this predator, but as luck would have it there are those amune to his poison.

Along with his venom, Lakshya is also cursed with a firey temper. There are rumors of those he has killed in the heat of the moment, and not just with his fangs, but with his bare hands.

Background: Born in a time where their kind were worshiped as gods, Lakshya was one of the most powerful. Raised from a young age, as a shaman, he knows things that many of his kind have since forgotten. He hides this knowledge behind the mask of a cold hearted sadist. Abilities: Like most mers, Nicolai has the power of telepathy. When in the water this is the only way for him to speak with those not of his race, lest he rupture a few ear drums.

Background: Nicolai was raised in a large family discovering that privacy was a rare commodity even under the waves. He soon took to exploring more on land. There he met Mariku, and the Lamia adopted Nicolai as a younger brother. Mariku kept close watch on the young mer as he came to get his land legs. It was on one of these explorations that the mer met Gabriel Yoshiyuki, a cat, not too far off from his own home quarreling with his younger brother Nicholas.

Things were shaky for the two from the start, but in time Nicolai found himself developing affection for the feline. This troubled the others, but Nicolai didn't care, he wouldn't betray his heart, and love was love, no matter the breed.

Things have moved on for the pair, turmoil and treasured days alike, and with every passing day, Nicolai learns that life in the arms of another can be, and often is, a wonderful thing. Of course this causes problems as well, as Nicolai realizes that he no longer desires to life in the water, but on land where he can be with his mate forever. This will never be an option for the mer of course, and it killed him a little more each day. His heart aching for land, and his body begging for the water.

Background: Shinagami is a cursed soul; his body rotting away around him as he lives only to watch himself die. He survives now only out of sheer force of will, and with the help of Janus. The life demon shares his own life-force with Shinagami to slow the curse and keep him alive. This sharing must happen every day, or Shinagami risks death.

The curse was placed on the cat during a long trip to Egypt. Shingami cannot remember all the details but he recalls the sands swirling around him and the laughter of someone in the distance. When he came to he was in pain, and his body had rotted to the state that he tries so desperately to maintain today.

Shinagami is Japanese for "Angel of Death". Shinagami sees himself as death on wings, and is not afraid to tell others that it is Death himself that laughs at him each day for his cursed rotting body.
