The night was darker than usual. The moon had weaned to it's smallest fraction. The only light source out were the fireflies of the jungle as well as the soft luminescence of the billions of stars in the sky. But this didn't stop Kusitiri from being as bored as he could be.
Keeping to himself, as usual under a tree. He knew that if he did anything remotely interesting he would just forget in the morning. It always happened, as soon as the sun rose.. POOF! Everything he ad done left his mind. It's not.. terribly good, especially since it causes him to act rash against people he has met before. Or he might act as if he already knows the lion. ... usually neither helped him in situations, but what could the poor guy do?
A loud sigh roared from his mouth as he placed his head down and glared off into the distance. Perhaps he should at least go hunting now, so he wouldn't have to do it in the morning. Or maybe.. he might end up going in the morning anyway if he had forgotten he ate.
What can a guy like him do in this situation but stare off and be bored.

The painted sky that sat out of reach was something the lone lioness could never pass up when it came to just sitting and staring out like a cub stuck in a dream they could never gain no matter how many stars they wished upon. So much beauty, so much glow, so much for the imagination to expand upon, and yet, with the beauty came some cruelty. The expansion of the moon and stars was always a signal for those who feasted for the night and those who feared those who feasted because they feared being that feast. Tilting her head, Faraji'kai rose from her spot from the ground, a sign that her stare gazing adventure would have to come to an end, even if she didn't want it to. However, her instincts told her otherwise just in case something was lurking in the shadows. Her ears perked, and nostrils aimed for the sky as they picked up a strange scent. Even though, being a rouge, she always came around new scents and sights, this one caught her attention for some reason. "Another lion maybe?..Could be a cheetah or leopard..." Curiosity getting to her, the female smirked and bound off in the direction of the scent, hoping it wouldn't be anything she would regret.

The roar of his stomach finally got to him, as well as the pain subsiding down there. Kusitiri figured that this only happened because he was hungry. So he grinned widely, and stood up. There was a reason for him to go moving about and he'll be fine in the morning. From the lack of pain, he'll be sure that he won't forget he ate...
That's it! He stretched himself out and then his claws. He let the night conceal his dark colors, thankful for the,... And then sniffed at the air searching for something he could attack, even if it were smaller than him. But nothing interesting had caught his senses yet.
Another sigh escaped his mouth while he began to pad quickly forward in search for something decent.

Faraji did her best to lay low and keep close to the ground, just hoping that the shrubs and grass would keep her concealed as best as it could. If there was anything a good predator, and even prey, learned in life, it is that stealth and camouflage meant everything if one wanted to continue living, especially if they have no idea what they are up against in the first place.
Silently, the gray lioness did her best to creep around in the direction her senses were leading her. From what she could pick up so far is wasn't any kind of pray item, so she could rule out the potential for a midnight snack. It wasn't as if she was hungry in the first place. Maybe it was a leopard or cheetah? No, they would no better than to make themselves know so easily, unless that was what they wanted? No, that would be stupid and careless of them.
Mentally huffing, Fara continued on with her search, the grass ever so easily shifting and moving around her body to let her by.
Then, she stopped. Her striking blue eyes caught sight of what she was tracking down, and from what she could tell it was large, and very recognizable now. "Another lion?" she whispered to herself. Was it friend, or foe? Could he have his pride nearby with him? If he did then it would be in her best interest to move away quickly before she is jumped by the females....
Shaking her head, Fara slowly stood and boldly made her way in his direction, just staying silent until she is noticed.

He looked around at the grass and sighed. Sometimes he wished he were an herbivore. That would be so much better for his stomach and for the poor animals around. They taste delicious to him! But it's still annoying to have to kill them.
The small blue ears of his flicked down from his thoughts, not paying attention to his surroundings. It did twitch when he heard some slightly noises of movements, but he only thought of it to be the prey that was too small for him.
He walked a while longer before finally forcing himself to pay attention. This is when he finally noticed the soft blue lioness walking his way. His ears perked up and he smiled. Was this someone who knew him at night? He hoped it wasn't an enemy but someone he could talk to normally for once.
He let out a soft gruff of a noise, and spoke up. "Grr... hello..?" He stooped walking and sat on his fluffy behind. Looking over at the female with curiosity.

At least she could say that her senses and vision were working as perfectly as they should be. Tail twitching, and a smile tugging at her lips, Fara nodded in the direction of the large blue male while trying her best not to let a snicker escape her lips. She had seen many males in her day, but nothing like the one sitting in front of her. He looks as if he had never missed a meal in his lifetime, so either he is good at hunting, which meant Fara would be left to ponder how he could even run with all the weight on him, or he had a good team to hunt for him. Either way, she was just happy the other lion seemed nice enough for the moment.
"Hello there, sir. May I ask why you are stalking around at this hour? Are you hunting? I'm sorry if I frightened or annoyed you with my own stalking. I just..wanted to see if you were safe or not."

He tilted his head and noticed the smile on his lips. His ears perked up and he looked excited-- that was until he heard her speak... It seemed as if she did not know him. A small frown formed on his face, before he thumped his tail on the ground and shook his head at the question.
"I am hungry, I haven't eaten since the morning! But I'm too afraid to really do any hunting right now..." His ears twitch and he laughed off that comment. "No! You didn't do that, It's fine! In fact, I think I should go else where if you are looking for prey here..." Kusitiri began to stand up. "I think it's safe here, I've been here for a while by myself."
Yep, he thought to himself, no pride to help out or to help at all...

Biting her tongue, Fara tilted her head as she took the chance to get a closer look at the large male as she padded closer to him. She wasn't off from what she first thought, and it was only encouraged by his comment on not having anything to eat since the morning.
"No. No. No" she said as she shook her head and sort of circled him. "It's perfectly fine for you to say here. I am on a bit of a hunt myself, and I don't really mind others hunting around me. I am a rogue myself, so there would be no reason for me to drive you off anything. For all I know this could be a pride's territory..."
Fara's ears flicked at the last statement. It was true, the life of a rogue was not an easy one. Almost always alone. No help. Always moving. Always looking over your shoulder. Always wondering if you will have a meal and a place to sleep at night. It was something one had to get used to, especially if they are changing from the pride life to the rogue life.
"If you wish, maybe I could help you, or we could help each other? Two heads hunting is always better than one, right? Though, I would like to know why you are scared to go hunting. Is there something out there, or...excuse me for saying this, but is it because of your fluffy build?"

She was a unique Lioness, very interesting. And certainly pretty. he couldn't help but look over her fur and glance at those pretty blue eyes-- Kusitiri's ears flicked now and quickly looked away with an embarrassed chuckle. "You're right, I haven't thought of that... but it seems quiet doesn't it?" His head tilted and he now looked around to make sure he wasn't just trying to fool himself.
All of a sudden he became very jittery. Any noises caused his tail to flick, and his ears to twitch to the side. But that didn't stop him from staring at the girl and trying to stay brave.
He wasn't that brave. No, he spent a lot of time running and hiding. Or was he. Maybe.. he had a different side to him at night. Perhaps that's why he couldn't remember anything.. A furrow of his brow probably let off that he was a bit distracted.
Blinking back to reality he brightens up at this. She wanted to actually partner with him? That's.. so exciting! he grinned widely, showing off those pearly white of his. "Yes! We should hunt together! We'll find more food. We'll get more to eat--" He stops in his tract and then laughed hard from this!
His fluffy build? She meant it's because he was husky right? No that's not the word. He was fat. A Big. Fat. Lion. "I'm just scared if there is anything out there that would take advantage of me. I'm not.. I'm very much of a push over when it comes to the others.. There could also be violent hunters out there just waiting for a 'Fluffy' lion like me.
His grin grew slightly.

Fara couldn't help but laugh at the large male's comments and show of excitement. Though the laugh was simple, and might seem like nothing to most, for Fara it was like something was sort of reborn within her. For too long had the lioness been alone, traveling, wandering, wondering where she would shelter herself each night and go each time the sun came out. The life of a rogue was a lonely and harsh light, so just some simple company and a chance to life was something the gray lioness appreciated very much.
Happy that the male accepted her offer of being a hunting partner, the lioness carefully trotted over towards him and reached out a paw to give a light poke as his "fluff".
"Well I wouldn't worry so much about that. Who knows, maybe your fluffy size will intimidate them. You never know now." She giggled and moved around to walk past him.
"No time for that now though! If we ever want to eat tonight we might as well get a move on before all the good prey move elsewhere. For all we know they might know we are here and have started moving."
She gave a nod at the thought and looked around for a good direction to start in.
"Oh, yes! By the way, my name is Faraji'Kai, but you can just call me Fara. What are you in the mood for tonight?"

He peered down at this and ruffled himself which makes the fur flick softly around. But he didn't mind being touched too much. I was nice, actually, especially talking to someone.
" My fluffy size.. intimidate them-- Well." He ponders this now. " Maybe, I guess, seeing as I look like a big ball of doom. " He watches her before standing up and padding after her slowly in thought of that comment again as well as her giggles. That was a cute sound--
He lets out a laugh himself and nods at her comment. " Yes, true." He sniffed around as they began walking, trying to get a pin point on some sort of prey around here. But then gets distracted and his ears flick. "Fara.. mine is Kusitiri."
The lion moved to stay by her side now and shrugs. "Anything we can get our claws on! I'm just more interested in.." He trails off as he spots something jump away. "Hm.."
