Some might ask 'Tawa, why the heck are you doing this?' and Tawa would say 'I don't know, I'm just bored I guess. ' because, truly, he couldn't figure out anything better to do. So he'd mixed some berries to create quite a bit of paint. Of course, not the same kind one would use for his own pelt, that'd be horrible. This could easily be washed off! Which was why he could be so careless with it. (Well, as long as he didn't take too long to wash it off. Then it might stick for a while and be a little humiliating. So, as a precaution, he was also doing this near a pond. )
So Tawa found a branch, and placed it over a rock. He placed one of his little "bowls" of paint (blue, to be specific) on one end, the one that could keep it balanced. And then stomped on the other end.
He rather enjoyed watching it hit a tree and splatter everywhere.

Awi had decided that today would be a day for wandering; a chance to see just how far it was until she reached the edge of the Wolf Clan's borders and just what she could find while out there. She had expected to maybe find another lion or two, to possibly bump into one of her siblings or one of their friends. She had expected a soft breeze and the fresh smell of plants and trees. She hadn't expected hearing a loud *thunk* as something clattered into the tree beside her, nor the sudden splatters of blue dots now sinking into her coat. Awi scrambled back, ducking into a nearby bush which then rustled, her eyes wide as she watched from her hiding place wondering what had just happened.

Tawa frowned, twitching his ears. He'd heard something! He furrowed his brows, absently loading up another bowl of paint (white, now) and, in perhaps one of his silliest moments, aimed it towards where he thought the sound had some from. Y'know, just in case it was someone.. attacking him, or something.
"Hello? " He called out weakly. Well, the 'he' was strong enough, but Tawa was quickly reminded of how much of a shy little wuss he was, so he didn't want to come off.. too strong.

Awi shrank back just a little bit further, nose wrinkling as the bush shook around her. She was certain that this would be the point where one of her older brothers would have grumbled or where her sister would have pounced... But she held still, for now, curious as to whether or not anything else would come flying in her direction.
When nothing did right away her tail flicked, purple eyes peering out from between the branches of the bush. "Hellooooooo."

Tawa perked his ears, listening for a little while, before assuming it was harmless, and turning to his bowl again. Clearly, he had assumed to soon, and when the reply came, Tawa was naturally startled.
And of course, he stomped on the branch and got splatted in the face with white paint. "AAaaah! I can't see! " He yelped, heading for where he hoped the water was, but instead running into a tree and leaving a nice, white Tawa-shaped mark on it.
At that point, he just sad miserably and hoped whomever this was could guide him to water.

She watched the scene unfold before her for a moment, eyes going wide as a blur of yellow flashed by in front of her and then... Smack. She winced as she watched him crack into the tree, a large part of her wanting to roll onto her back and laugh while another part of her knew deep down that her mother would make a face at her for that.
Sighing softly she emerged from within the bush, staying low as she made her way over to where the other lion was, poking gently with a hesitant paw. "... Are you alright?"

There was a brief pause, before Tawa sighed. "I'm alright. " He said, his voice small and defeated. "Could you please lead me to water? I can't really see. " He asked, miserably pulling away from the tree to "look" in the general direction of whomever-this-person-was.
If he'd been able to see, he might be amused at the mark his face left on the tree.

"I'm Awi'saquii Adohi. It's a mouthful, I know, but..." She approached him slowly, her smile the sad sort that said that she still really wanted to laugh, but she knew it wouldn't be appropriate so she held back. All in all, it was probably a good thing that he couldn't see her face.
"You really did a number on yourself, you know." Her voice was soft; youthful with a trace of what it might sound like when she finally grew up. "I might be able to get some of the muck away from your eyes... Make it so you can see at least a little bit in order to follow me to the water?"

"I'm Tawa Kanati. Nice to meet you. " The last part was said rather automatically, even though this wasn't the most pleasant of circumstances to meet someone. Still, he was sure she was a perfectly nice girl! "You can laugh if you really want to. " He didn't really know if she did, but if his brother were in this situation, Tawa would probably want to laugh, too.
"Okay. Thank you. "

"My mother would never let me hear the end of it if I laughed... Even if she never found out I'd still hear her in my head." She managed a small chuckle, shaking her head slowly before bringing her paw up to try and lightly smear some of the paint away from his eyes.
"I don't think I've ever seen a lion run right into a tree before." She continued to speak softly as she put her paw down, wiping some of the paint away on the grass before bringing her other paw up to try and brush some away from his other eye. "Or anyone, really. Your head doesn't hurt, does it?"

Tawa nodded slightly, but instead focused on /not/ opening his eyes. That would be bad. Even though, since he wasn't tired, he did feel the incredible urge to open them. But he was relieved when she wiped most of the paint of his eyes, and he could squint them open.
"A little. But it's okay. " He looked at her, tilting his head once he saw a few blue speckles in her fur. That didn't really match.. the rest of her tattoos. "Oh no! I got some on you! I'm sorry! " He frowned, standing up. "We should get to water before this dries, so it doesn't stick! "

She wiped her other paw off, trying not to make a face as it squished between her paw pads. It would be a lot better once they made it somewhere that they could wash all of this off...
At his apology she glanced up, smiling brightly as her eyes met his. "Well, at least we know you can see now. And... It's okay, really. A few spots here and there aren't going to completely ruin my coat. I'd be a little bit more worried about your face." This time she did laugh softly, turning so that she could head back the way she'd come. "There's a small pool back this way..." She called over her shoulder, hoping that he would follow.

He nodded, he couldn't see his face but he bet he looked pretty silly all white. And he contently followed her directions, because he was sure there was, indeed, a pool around here somewhere. But after a smack in the head he wasn't really sure which was it was!
"Thank you for helping me! " Even after I splattered you with blue paint~

She caught the scent of the water lingering in the air and knew they were on the right path. There was a smile on her muzzle as they came out of the trees, the soft grass beneath her paws eventually giving way to cool, damp earth where the water touched it.
"My father brought my siblings and I here to play once..." She murmured, thoughtfully. "We should be able to clean up here."

Tawa nodded absently, instead focusing on squinting at the floor and at her to make sure he didn't a) hit another tree, and b) lose her. However, once he found they were near water, it was another matter entirely, and he was resisting the urge to rush forward and dive in, just to get this paint off his face.
"I'm glad I picked a place near water. " He smiled to himself, yes, it really was a good idea! He just.. hadn't thought he'd be hitting himself in the face, oh well.
Well, Tawa couldn't take it anymore. He could see the water and it was really close so.. he might as well go right in!
In moments, Tawa was shoulder deep in water, his head dunked beneath and pawing and flailing at his face to make sure all the paint came out. (Because he really didn't want his face to be all white!)
