Raja sat in the dense vegatation of his new home. He was resting because tonight they you need to hunt for the pride and he would be the onne to organize the hunt. He silently wondered where his children were and wondered if any of them would join the hunt tonight. He sighed to himself, they had grown up so quickly. It seemed as though he had blinked and they were nearing adult. He could help but think time had flown by to quickly.

Tsun came ambling through the jungle, although he was nearly an adult Tsun has absolutely no grace. He wasn't bothered by this though, as he walked he used his paws to push the vegetation out of his face, it was much more difficult to walk her then out in the open savanah. He didn't much remember the savanah but he knew enough that there was no heavy trees and bush like this.

As the brightly colored lion made his way though he saw the tell tale color of a family member of his. Thanks to his father Tsun and most of his siblings were very brightly colored. It was a blessing really he was quite proud of his colors. When he got closer to the colors he recognized the lion to be his father. Tsun quickened his pace to get to his father's side, "Hello father." Tsun greated him nuzzling him at the same time.

“Hello my son. I see you,” he said giving he son a quickly nuzzles simultaneously removing some vines from his mane. “Having a bit of trouble with the vegetation I see.”

Raja gave a small chuckle before sitting up for a more properbtalk with his son. “I would suggest sticking to the more warn paths, until you learn a bit more agility.” His smile was kind and it was obvious he meant no insult to his son. It was really no secret that the young male lacked grace. He sorely hoped it would not hold him back in the future.

Tsun laughed, his clumsiness was obvious. "It is hard sometimes with the vegatation, but the broken in paths are so boring Father." Despite his clumsiness he wanted very much to be a great explorer and the jungle was such a great place to explore. "I want to be a great explorer Father, I must get use to the vegatation." Tsun was very happy about this.

"Anyways how are you today? Has the forrest been treating you well?"

Raja laughed slightly at his son declaration. It made him feel very young and carefree. “I think, my son that would be a very admirable goal. Do you think it could be something you could do for the pride?”

At his sons question, he looked out to the jungle around him and took a deep breath. “She treats me well on this day, providing me a peaceful shady place to rest before the hunt. I am quiet enjoying myself.”

"I don't know what I will do with my time here in the pride, I have considered being a baby sitter, or maybe a warrior, they are such different jobs but I feel that I could be useful in either of them. I love cubs, ad it would be nice to help provide safe explorations for them. And well the appeal of being a warrior is easy to see." Tsun smiled, it was fun to thinking about the future.

"Oh yes the group hunt tonight. I was considering going along on that, though I fear that I may not be good enough, I haven't practiced my hunting skills very much, and well frankly I do not want to embaress myself." he cocked his head to the side a silly expression on his face.

“Those are both wonderful choices and I think you would do well in either. It is lovely to hear that you love cubs. It is trait that you and I share. A helpful one that will be good for the day when you seek out your princess.”

He nodded to his son as the Tsun spoke of his worries, but he shook his head at the end. “You will not embarass yourself if you try your best. You embarass yourself hen you don't try at all. The best way to learn how to hunt is to hunt. Its a process of trial and error. There will be others there to help you if need be, so do not fret.”

Tsun swallowed it still made him nervous. "Are you a good hunter father?" he asked, perhaps he would take after his father in more then one way. "Was mother good?" Tsun was worried about asking about his mother, she wasn't someone he had ever asked about but now as he got older he wondered more and more about what she was like.

He had figured his mother must have been lighter in color as a couple of his siblings had mosstly white coats, it was hard for him to try to picture her, he wondered if perhaps his father would provide some of the missing links. Tsun wasn't nervous about asking his father really as his father didn't seem the type to him to be hold a grudge against someone, speacially someone who had blessed him with cubs.

Raja grinned at his son, “I would sorely hope so as I will be leading tonight. For the most part I am a warrior, but I had to hunt for myself and for you beforre we arrived here. I would have to says I've developed a knack for it. I have had much practice.”

Raja smiled at his son when he asked of his mother. “I can not say for sure, as we did not know each other very long, but she was healthy and quite lovely, so she could definitely hunt well enough to feed herself.”

Tsun smiled "Perhaps I will come out tongiht then, if you are in the lead it is bound to be a good time." The little Raja said about Tsun's mother Tsun found himself listening very closely, he wanted to know more about the mysterious female that had given birth to him and his family.

"Father could you tell me more about mother, I have always wondered about her. I think I am old enough to hear it now." Tsun had kept from asking when he was younger becuse he was afraid of what the answers might be. "I want to know what happened, why did she leave us, what was her name, what did she look like. Anything you could tell me would be wonderful.| Tsun looked hopefully at his father, a cub like expression on his face.

“Of course I will tell you about her. If you wished to know all you needed to do was ask.” Raja lay back down wondering just how he should start the story and decided to start simple.

“Her name was Itzel. We met one morning at the river. She was was white with grey marking one her legs and stripe of bright colors in her mane and tail. Really she looked just like you brother. She was kind and funny, but she had a slight memory problem. She couldn't remember from one moment to tne next. I even had to remind her who i was even if I had since her recently. Sometimes she knew and others she didn't.

I do not really know why she left, but I assume she simply forgot to come back. I seached for her, but I couldn't find her. It is my fault really. I should kept a better eye o n her. I really hope she is doing well.”

"Itzel" Tsun whispered it was an interesting name, differently different then a lot of the ones he heard here in the pride. "Well she sounds like she is a very nice lioness, and I am sure if she had lived well before you found her she lived well after." Tsun felt a little better now knowing that his mother hadn't abandoned him and his siblings just because she had grown bored of them, or didn't like them, it was instead she was sick... or kind of sick.

"She simply forgot." Tsun said a hint of a giggle in his voice, it really did sounds funny. "You shoudn't blame yourself Father, besides she may have wondered off but you took such great care of us cubs, we would have been lost if it wasn't for you." he popped nicely at his father in a loving way. He really did love his father quite a bit, and he owed a lot to him.

Raja nodded, “yes I sure she is doing just fine. Hopefully she has found someone who can keep a better eye on her. I really thought she would be my princess. Unfortanetly it was not to be and it turns out that the ideals of my pride are hardly shared by anyone in the outside world.”

Raja chuckled slightly at his son's words. “I am happy to here I have done well. It is nice to know that you appreciate me my son. I think with you attitude you will go so far in life.”

“How about the two of us go practice for the hunt tonight. I can show you some techinques so you won't have to worry about embarassment.”

Tsun's face lit up at the idea of being able to practice alone with hsi fahter. "I would love that." he smiled and rose to his feet already ready to go. "Is there a lot I have to learn father?" Tsun was a little worried as he turned to begin to head back through the jungle, wondering where he and his fahter would hunt. "I hope that I can learn at least the basics." Tsun mummbled, his nervse begining to get the better of him.

"I am lucky that we are in such a nice pride, I would never eat if I was on my own." Tsun said as he tripped over a branch, making a bunch of noice. He couldn't help but laugh.

Raja sighed, “yes, but you need not learn it in one day.” He got up to follow his son listening as he spoke. When his son tripped and started laughing he laughed too. “Lesson one. Watch where you are going.”
