I was considering making the woman I'd entered the contest with as a candidate for Benden. I don't know how old yours would be but maybe they could be friends or something?

History:
Sophiana was born to two drudge parents in some minor hold of Ista. The other children often teased her for her odd appearance. Some thought she was demon-possessed while others feared she was mentally retarded. She was thankfully none of these things. As time passed and nothing odd happened around her, the rumors passed on.
As she got older she began to grow into her unusual beauty. The looks from the boys became more knowing. She kept around as many people as possible when doing her chores. The chores that took her out of reach of others were done speedily with a hint of fear. Only the appearance of the lord saved her on several occasions.
During her fourteenth turn, Sophiana was Searched by a Wingrider of Ista Weyr. She was whisked away from her life of drudgery; given a warm bed, clean clothes, easy duties, lessons, and she never had to fear being molested again. At Ista Weyr she stood for the Hatching of two clutches; not Impressing either time. When the call from Benden came asking for candidates she was sent.
Once again she stood for clutches on the Benden sands and did not Impress until her nineteenth turn. Finally she was a dragonrider! She takes great delight in using her looks to drive the male riders wild. As a result she’s had two children, though, thankfully neither have her looks.
Appearance:
If one word was used to describe Sophiana it would be luscious. She has all the right curves in all the right places. Her eyes are an aqua-blue that one could drown in the depths of. Her hair is kept unusually long for a dragonrider in that it reaches to her butt when unbound. Free flowing it looks like wavy wheat fields of gold. Her skin always seems to have a slight tan to it no matter how much time outside she spends.
Sophiana loves to wear tight clothing. Whether it be riding gear or a gather dress so long as it makes the men’s jaws hit the ground, audibly. She’ll wear any color as long as she thinks it makes her looks good.
Personality:
Sophiana is strongly flirty and coy. She loves to play games with the male riders of any Weyr. If she finds a male rider to her liking she’s more than likely to start something before he does. She’s not the sort to sit and wait for Prince Charming to come find her. Not that she wants one of them anyhow. She uses her looks now to get her own back for being teased about her appearance as a child. It never really occurred to her that these were not the ones who had done so.
Her flirting has gotten her into trouble on several occasions. It hasn’t stopped her in the least, merely encouraged her to be a tad more subtle about her games. She very much prefers the Weyrleader to the Weyrwoman simply because she thinks with her charms he’ll let her off easy. Thus, the Weyrwoman mostly deals out her punishments.
She is deeply proud of her Weyr and all they stand for. Sophiana is clear when it comes down to male or female riders. Female riders are clearly the best and the males are around simply to have fun with. Sophiana doesn’t understand why the traditional Weyr queens are producing fewer eggs than the non-traditional Weyrs. It bothers her a great deal. As far as atypical dragons go, she sees them as too much work to raise. Then most of the colors don’t breed, except for crimsons and not very well even then.

Before I forget, I suspect D'ru and K'la would at least know each other already in passing. I don't know what K'la would think of D'ru, but D'ru would probably be less then impressed with K'la.

Yeah, I'd agree to that. =P K'la wouldn't pay him much except to probably make fun of him in some slighting way, but they're probably quite aware of each other.
